I first met Christina in September 2024 at a women's media conference where she was a vendor. She immediately exuded warmth, professionalism, and passion for her craft. I fell in love with her energy and her products right away, so much so that I knew instantly I wanted her to be a part of my big moment. Fast forward to my book launch: Christina welcomed me into her beautiful studio and created the most natural, luminous look that was exactly what I needed as someone who doesn't wear makeup regularly. She honored my desire to look like myself, just a little more polished and camera-ready, and absolutely delivered. She event kept my freckles shining through! I received so many compliments that night, not about the makeup, but about how glowing and confident I looked... and that's exactly what great makeup should do. Christina is the perfect blend of artist and pro - attentive, patient, and truly invested in making you feel your best. If you're looking for makeup that enhances you without masking who you are, Christina is the person to trust. I'm so grateful to her for helping me shine during such a special milestone. Highly, highly recommend.

Jen emailed me back within a day with all her details and information, and I was so excited. I shared photos with her, and she worked with me and my hair/skin concerns to get a look that I loved. I had my trial with her about two weeks before my wedding so we could also have a trial shoot with our photographer. I rarely wear makeup, and I was blown away by how good I looked and felt - like the best version of myself. The makeup also photographed wonderfully. Jen was so kind and funny, which made the getting ready process on the wedding day so much less stressful. My makeup also lasted through a hot day at City Hall, a windy outdoor photoshoot, and a dinner with dancing, somehow without creasing or running. Sorcery!!! Thank you, Jen!!

Once I arrived and met her in person, it was as if we had met before - she is approachable, friendly, and makes you feel like an old friend. Now onto the actual hair and makeup - her talent far exceeded my expectations! I gave her a general idea of what I was going for and she was able to quickly run with it and when she showed me the finished product at the end, I was so thrilled. I love the way it looked both in person and the way it photographed (pictures attached). I would highly recommend booking JT artistry for your hair and makeup needs! I didn't want to wash my face or undo my hair after the photoshoot because it looked so good, haha!

Her work on my hair was also impressive - I wanted my hair half up/half down but was worried that the high winds at our ceremony site might ruin it. It turned out to be perfectly fine though, and my curls lasted throughout the entire night. As some other reviewers have mentioned, her husband helps with communications and bookings, and finalizing things with him may take a few tries. Luckily I found working with him to be fine, particularly when I switched over to texts for smaller inquiries, and as long as I was careful to double check details. The assistant she brings with her varies and some seem to be better than others (assistant for my friend's wedding was good, while the one for my wedding seemed to be less proficient at doing hair). However, Kary will step in and provide assistance / guidance where needed. Overall, I had a fantastic experience with Kary. She goes above and beyond for a HMUA; she'll even help with your dress for portraits and does constant touch ups until she leaves. She's so so so great that I promise you just need to book her, you won't regret it!

I was really happy with my looks throughout the event and Kary was attentive throughout, really glad to have hired her. During the makeup trial she listened to my needs and took times to try multiple styles and looks until I'm comfortable with my choices. Her makeup style is very beautiful and natural at the same time, she has a great understand of Asian features. I felt very beautiful. During the event she stayed around for almost the whole ceremony to reception, helping with touch ups and outfit/look changes. She was also great with my mother and bridesmaids, patient and giving styling support when my mom had questions. However I think there's room for improvement in her team. The second HMU she brought with her to help with the other half of my bridesmaids was not as good. My bridesmaid mentioned that her side bun constantly fell out and after asking to be fixed multiple time they just ended up fixing it themselves. The second HMU also didn't seem to have the same joy as Kary and wasn't too friendly. Outside of that, Kary's husband Eugene does all her booking, scheduling and communications. Have some patience for him to get back to you and double check the booking times as I experienced some mixed up during the trial booking. Overall I would definitely recommend working with Kary for your makeup, you will not regret it, she really took good care of me.

When I reached out years later, she not only remembered me, but also details from our previous conversations. That level of thoughtfulness immediately reminded me why I wanted to work with her. She's so warm, personable, and genuinely cares about her clients. During my bridal trial, I was amazed by how meticulous she is. She took the time to consider my dresses, makeup and hair preferences, and overall wedding aesthetic, while offering thoughtful recommendations and making small tweaks as we went based on my feedback. She even notices things like whether I was dehydrated or hadn't been getting enough sleep! It's clear she has an incredible eye for detail and wants you to look like the best version of yourself. On the wedding day, Lydia made me feel the most beautiful I had ever felt in my LIFE (I did not want to remove my makeup). The little details she thinks of are truly what set her apart. After I mentioned I'm a crier, she ordered giant q-tips and hid them in my bouquet just in case, tucked in so seamlessly you couldn't even tell they were there. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare and made me feel so taken care of on one of the most emotionally charged days of my life. She is also just genuinely wonderful to be around.
