Then I found Wendolyn who did 3 sessions of laser tattoo removal. First session my eyebrows looked in reddish I was little scared but by the Third session it was all gone so I was happy . But then she did combo brows on me and OMG I was in love with my brows and my looks. She is the best in town (Glen Cove ). After me she did all my friends and family and even my friend, from London who was visiting and my niece from Maryland travel to her. I had used this lash tech 2-3 times in the past when she lived out of state and paid an extra…read moretravel fee. Once that stopped making sense, I found someone local. When I noticed she had moved into my town, I decided to book with her again, even though my newer lash tech had been giving me sets that lasted much longer. I always ask for a cat-eye set, which is what she had done for me before. I'll include a reference photo of a cat eye versus what I actually received. She says she customizes sets to each client, but I do not feel my eye shape was considered because this set made my eyes look noticeably droopy. The bigger issue was retention. Within 1-2 days, the lashes were falling out excessively. I know how to care for extensions and normally keep mine for 2-3 weeks. With this set, simply touching them caused multiple lashes to fall out, and washing them made it worse. By about day three, the set was basically all out. I asked for a PARTIAL refund, not even the full amount, because I understood she had still spent time doing the service. She refused because she had spent time and money on materials, but offered to do an entirely new full set instead, which would obviously require even more time and materials. The conversation then became extremely unprofessional. I had booked because I had an event a few days later. She accused me of intentionally plucking the lashes out to get a refund. (Anyone who wears extensions knows ripping out properly attached lashes is painful and damaging. I had absolutely no reason to do that). I am only mentioning this because of how ridiculous the accusation was, not to brag, but she has been to my home and is familiar with my lifestyle. Between my home, school, cars, businesses, and the fact that I rent out 2 Corvettes, I am not ripping my own eyelashes out over $50-$100. Another major red flag is that she only accepts physical cash. Not Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, or card. One time I did not have cash and asked to Zelle her, and she and her boyfriend literally followed me to the bank like they were mafia thugs so I could withdraw it and hand it to her. Her pricing is also extremely high for the quality I received. Her set was $150. I later went to another lash tech who fixed the look for about $70. I'll include photos of both so people can judge the difference themselves. What makes this worse is that I easily could have become a regular client booking every two weeks. I had actually already booked two fill ins before I even got to my first appointment. Instead, she lost a returning client over refusing to resolve a legitimate issue involving $50-$100. My problem is not simply that I disliked the style. It was the wrong shape, terrible retention, refusal to offer even a partial refund, the accusation that I removed the lashes myself, and the overall way the situation was handled.
