Nyrva is not only a doll, but this woman knows her stuff. I hired her for my wedding day makeup and from the initial consultation - to the communication in between - to the actual big day, she was wonderful. This is probably too much detail, but if you want to know what to expect, especially as a bride, this is for you :) During the consultation, she really took her time with me. She helped me with my vision and listened to my feedback. We played with two different looks, tweaked them to choose the final look, and then she took pictures and noted everything. I don't normally wear a lot of makeup and was indecisive about what looked best, and she guided me through the process in a gentle way. She helped influence me but left every decision up to me. I knew even before the trial was over that I wanted to work with her. So we coordinated the details to meet at my wedding venue for my makeup as well as my momma's. On the wedding day, she arrived to the venue early. My mom and I were franticly running around and stressed out from the wedding coordinator avoiding our calls. Nyrva came in like a breath of fresh air and changed the vibe with her calm demeanor; reassuring us while staying on top of the schedule. She was organized and prepared with her lighting equipment, chair and makeup kit. When my mom's makeup was completed, she looked stunning. The makeup fully absorbed into her skin after the first hour and from there, her skin looked gorgeous. For me, my skin was slightly tanner from our initial meeting and she still matched the concealer perfectly. I also decided I wanted a thinner eyeliner and eyebrow shape and sprang this on her last minute. She delivered exactly what I asked. My makeup was heavy of course for the sake of pictures, but it was done in the most natural-glam way possible. I felt like I looked like the best version of myself, and most importantly with flawless skin. I was worried my husband would think I looked overdone, because he doesn't like makeup at all. (When I came home from my trial, I could tell it was too much for him). But, I watched his eyes light up when I met him at the aisle and he told me I've never looked more beautiful. That wasn't just wedding sweet talk- he really meant it! As far as longevity, our lipstick did fade by the reception, as I later noticed in pictures, but eyelashes and skin stayed perfectly intact. If I had brought blotting paper and a lip color (there's my tip!), I would have looked perfect all night. But, for not doing any touch ups or even looking in the mirror for 6 hours, the makeup really held up. And I did have quite a few teary eyed moments. So, if you've read this far and still on the fence about booking Nyrva for any reason, just do yourself a favor and meet her. She's professional, punctual, and reasonably priced for what her package includes. One thing to note: she doesn't provide touch-up makeup as listed in the bridal package. In terms of technique, she's talented. I compared artists in the area and not one could compete with Nyrva's skin transformations. She has a gift for matching skin tone seamlessly and executing the perfect coverage on problematic skin. On top of that, she's a total sweetheart and a joy to be around. Bottom note: she made me look and feel beautiful on my wedding day--what more could a bride hope for. read more

Nyrva is FANTASTIC. My brother was getting married in Ft Lauderdale 12/28 and I had no clue where to find a makeup artist for my mom & me. Come to Yelp and she pops up. Spoke to her on the phone, had my goddaughter check out her IG (she's into makeup, I'm not) for the ok and we were good to go. I know nothing about traveling makeup artists, makeup in general outside of some lipstick. What made Nyrva GREAT, she was always in communication with me, and when I had 4 more girls want their make up done, she was able to accommodate us. She came with a whole chair, lighting, stacks and stacks of makeup. She transformed everyone into something special and did different look for each person. She uses high quality pro makeup, has a soft touch and you don't feel like you have a ton of goop on your face. She's really sweet too, and a pleasure to work with. I can not recommend Nyrva enough! Nyrva did my makeup while I was 8 months pregnant, had horrible under eye circles, and blotchy skin. She made me feel and look like a goddess! I received so many compliments on my makeup and I was so sad to have to wash it off at the end of the night.
