I feel like no written review could do them appropriate justice--you must experience it for yourself. Matthew's is SO MUCH more than a catering company and they become more like friends to us. We knew immediately after our initial phone consultation/menu design that they were going to be the highlight of our wedding. Matt is so passionate about cooking and that comes through with the versatility of the menu creation and the favors of the food. Four months later and my guest are still talking about how our food was the best wedding meal they ever tasted!!! (do yourself a favor and put the mac and cheese on your menu). Linda- she was an amazing coordinator and friend to us throughout the process. She made us feel so comfortable and was there to help us throughout EVERY STEP of the planning and execution and was only a call or text away. She smiled every time I told her I changed my mind on the set up or design and was happy to accommodate any request. Our wedding went seamlessly because of Linda's direction and guidance. She took care of everything so we could enjoy our day without interruption. She is the kindest and most amazing person to work with. Matthew' Catering staff- they were so incredible and took great care of our guests. From the set up, breakdown, serving guests they didn't miss a beat. Numerous guests commented on how they were the most attentive and kind staff they ever encountered at a wedding. My favorite part of wedding planning was working with this team because they helped alleviate any stress with their experience, kindness, and passion for bringing people together with delicious food. They were also the most affordable option that we considered with the highest quality/tasty food. 10000/10 would recommend over and over again.

They have up to date games such as virtual reality and more. They also rotate the games on a regular basis to keep it fresh for the arcade goers. In order to play, a cyber quest club card is required. There is a machine you can get this from or one of the associates can assist. There is a dollar fee and each game there is approximately .50 to $2. After playing, there is a prize zone desk. You can redeem prizes based on how many tickets you have on your card. The prizes are toys, movies, games, etc. My son won some small toys like slime and a foam dice. They also host birthday parties there. Overall, it's a great spot to play games, regardless of age.

There's a decent variety of games here - from plain video games to the ones where you win tickets to eventually redeem a "prize". The prizes of course range, but if you want one of the more expensive ones, be prepared to spend a lot of money and time here accumulating tickets. Tickets are automatically added to your game card instead of the old days of holding wads of them. Game cards are available to refill and to of course hold your tickets. You can leave and return another day with the active amounts still on the cards - not sure if there is an expiration on them though. Staff was ok generally. There is a check in - but I don't know much about what that entails. I imagine parents can drop their kids here while they go to the slots or dinner, but I'm really not sure. Located in Mohegan Sun, a small but decent break from the gambling monotony.

We also did the afternoon tea, which was absolutely lovely and a good value. Our hotel room was clean, comfy, modern, and spacious. The spa facilities were also extremely clean and well kept, with the ladies locker room stocked with everything you could ever need. Every staff person we dealt with from the hotel to the restaurants to the spa was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the hot tub/sauna/steam room area.. yes, it was crowded a few times but I noticed that crowds in both the pool and hot tub areas tended to clear quickly and several times I had both to myself! I especially appreciated the thoughtful little touches everywhere, like cold washcloths available for post-sauna cooldowns and fresh flowers all over the place. The vibe was extremely relaxed and I appreciated that when staying in the hotel you get full use of the spa facilities even on check-out day. We had breakfast and lunch at Kensington's and also had the afternoon tea. Everything was delicious!! Good cocktails too. I wished the indoor pool had been larger to better accommodate busy times, and the spa treatments are definitely on the pricey side, but those are about the only two criticisms I can come up with about this place! We are hoping to make it an annual tradition!

We finally came back today to use my gift cards and sadly, our whole spa experience wasn't the 5 star of yesteryear... Firstly, this is what went right: Yes, it's still very pretty and the staff are terrific as always. The spa itself is just lovely New England charm. We were greeted well and given our itinerary. We went to our respective locker rooms for comfy robes and slippers. I had a nice swim before our massages. We both loved our massage therapists, mine was Kisbel, hubby's was Alexis. All good there! Secondly, what went wrong? We were saddened to see that the fun activities that were always included are either MIA entirely like the wine tasting, or are being up-charged tremendously like the formerly complimentary tea and scones! Really?! Bummer!! Also, when I booked online, I saw that my go-to all-inclusive personal day package is no longer offered. No decent pick two services like a massage & pedicure with included lunch plus fitness class to round out your spa day. After our massages, we chilled out in the relaxation room, no reading materials provided anymore, but they still do have loungers and comfy blankets. As there was nothing else of interest included to do anymore, we made a reservation for dinner out with plenty of time after we check out. Not a bad experience up to this point, just slightly disappointing to be wanting to leave so much earlier than in the past. Now here's where things went terribly awry---the operator of the check out process "Anashelly" could NOT process my gift cards! It was $300 in gift cards, leaving a balance of $97.30, a hefty total of $397.30 for only two 50 minute massages. Finally she phoned a higher up and explained the system wasn't working correctly. MUCH time passed and the line is now out the door behind me! Worse than that, we will miss our special dinner and I'm also so embarrassed! Finally I say we are leaving and we can handle it later over the phone. I paid $397.30 and I left a ball of stress after looking forward to this for over a year. I have come here with friends & family for almost 27 years now, but I will decidedly NOT BE RETURNING. PS Adding insult to injury, they also stopped sending me my usual birthday coupon years ago. Having to report all this?? Spa at Norwich Inn you break my spa loving heart!

We were very unhappy with the DJ but happy with the Photo Booth set up and staff. My husband and I had DJ Craig for our wedding in September 2023. We had two meetings with him beforehand were we discussed how we would like the night to run. In addition to a list of "must-play" songs (something we were encouraged to complete), we discussed how we would like our table-dash, anniversary dance, alumni photo, and private dance to operate. We also noted on multiple occasions during both calls that we DID NOT want a lot of remixes. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with how DJ Craig managed all of these aspects except for the table dash and private dance. Here is where our issues lie: - Out of our 30 or so must play songs maybe half were played. - As laid out on the Marx Entertainment website we chose a "last song" for the dance floor. DJ Craig played the song we designated as our last song as a way to open the dance floor. - The first 30 minutes were exclusively remixes and bad ones at that. It got to the point where we said something to DJ Craig, and while the music did get better, he still continued to play remixes. Honestly, a Spotify playlist would have been better. - The anniversary dance was something DJ Craig suggested and we loved the idea. However, instead of doing what he had described to us where he starts calling people off the dance floor after some dancing and starting with short time increments, DJ Craig called for anyone married for less than 5 years to leave the dance floor after approximately 20 seconds. People hadn't even REACHED the dance floor to start dancing at that point, including the parents of the groom. Not to mention we are a young couple and that kicked more than half of the people off the dance floor in one sweep. - College alumni photo was announced at a very weird time and very rushed. Just felt awkward - We were immediately asked once the lights turned on to provide a positive video review for DJ Craig. This was extremely uncomfortable and we gave dishonest feedback during it. We would NOT recommend him. Like I said previously, the Photo Booth staff was excellent and we loved the book they made us. We also had no issues with booking or prior communication with Marx. While the set up and logistical execution of the event went well we didn't feel our opinions were considered at all in song selection and that the fun mini-events we had throughout the night went poorly

We stayed for the night and were upgraded to a room in the main house for the same price as the cabin. The rooms were very clean and updated. Be prepared that there are no TVs in the rooms...just like camping! We stayed on a Saturday night in September and there is a restaurant in the lodge with live entertainment (comedians on this particular night). There is a full bar with several cocktails on the drink menu. The grounds have an obstacle course, horse shoes pits, stage for a concert, access to beach pond, trails, and cabins for camping. There was a fire provided during the day, but we didn't see one at night. It would be nice if each cabin had its own fire ring to have a camp fire/cook in and a large fire pit for community bon fires. I'm sure the new owners have lots of cool plans and will make it happen as they are open to suggestions. This can definitely be s hot spot to have some fun and not worry about driving home.
