Teri: Ill indulge you since this is my only manner to respond to your comment, but nothing about my bad review of your business was nasty, all of it factual but since you weren't there; When I arrived at the house and met your inspector, i made it clear that I planned on reviewing everything I could myself, crawl space, attic space all of it, Cameron's comment to that was "I hope you brought your own ladder, because you cant use mine" the ladder I procured was the property of the sellers, and my agent has written permission from them to use it, don't tell me it has to do with liability because I released your company from any and all liability before the inspection was conducted, as I brought the ladder into the house your inspector yelled as if he was correcting a petulant child and told me "out!" pointing towards the door, is this the integrity you are referring to? I told him I wouldn't be spoken to in such a disrespectful manner and I wont, said "fine then I will leave", your boy threw his tool belt on the ground, put on his jacket and claimed that he had plenty of business and didn't need mine. You should review the definition of hostile, but not accepting being disrespected and spoken down to doesn't qualify. The report hardly detailed all the areas concerned, I personally found a loose tub insert, loose tiles in the master shower, and there was a completely inaccessible area of the attic that wasn't even mentioned by your inspector, hardly a detailed inspection. Seriously though it sounds like your inspector got a chip on his shoulder when he found out someone was going to review his work, and let his ego get in the way of being calm and professional, he could have just asked politely for me to wait until he was working in another area of the house and it wouldn't have been an issue.

He suits up in what looks like hazmat gear to go under the house. He explores your house in places you didn't even know you had! He is also very personable and pleasant to be around. He answers questions and shows you the problem he talking about. One thing I really like is that he tells you what things are critical, what to keep your eye on, and what quirks are not a problem. He got into all the crawl spaces, checked every light switch and outlet, ran every faucet, inspected every drain. He was thorough. And price wise he is great too. He came highly recommended from our realtor and after doing my own research I that showed she was right I went with him. I am so glad I did. After his inspection he spent an hour walking through with me showing me every little thing and explaining every aspect of the inspection. He gave me a complete print out with pictures and explanations of the problem areas. He even told me the best way to fix the couple problems he found. Report seemed a…read morebit questionable from the start as it seemed like there was more paperwork and ink spent on disclaimers for non responsibility than about the actual house. VERY obvious porch roof problem totally missed, when we pointed it out we were told they would fix it themselves. Contract for house expired because our house didn't sell, but we reopened negotiations on the same house and were assured by our realtor that repairs would be done. He also sent us the confirmation about that from Dan at Lighthouse. The day we did our walk through, we were informed that Dan would have nothing to do with it because it was on a previous contract and his insurance told him not to touch it. Other missed items include: dishwasher doesn't work correctly, knobs loose on Viking range, griddle on same range blasts flame out the back. cabinets in bathroom that have broken doors, half of a french door that won't open. ........ Just be advised that this business cares nothing about their customers or their customer service. Find a different inspection service. One that can actually find the faults on the house you are looking to buy.
