After a colleague recommended the studio and Manuel, my family connected with him to help us learn…read moresteps for a father-daughter Quinceañera dance. Not only did he help with steps, but he put in the work to actually help choreograph a number. Like a full-on dance, plus he orchestrated a beautiful experience for our family. He was kind, funny, and extremely collaborative to ensure Daddy and Daughter were confident and having fun. Two days before the event, I reached out and asked if he could help me (Mom) learn a simple step so that we could also have a moment with a dance as well. Wow! I have no exact words to express how happy and grateful I was that he fit me into his very busy schedule so that I, too could have my own moment with our daughter. When I say that I'm beyond grateful, it doesn't fully describe the superb experience we had at Arosa Balleoom and the most enjoyable time with a fantastic dance instructor. He is passionate about his craft and just a lovely person. We'll be forever grateful and kind of hooked. Maybe we will continue with instruction, because we may have to catch up to my colleague, who is not a bronze-level dancer! The studio is located in a great spot and has plenty of parking too. Don't just walk, but cha-cha yourself to Arosa if you want to learn a few steps. Highly recommended.

CT Theater Dance is a special, family-oriented studio with an exceptional ballet training program…read moreas well as amazing dance instruction in other genres including jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, hip hop and musical theater. We have 3 daughters (ages 12, 10 & 5) and this is our 8th year dancing at CTD. Over the years, we have seen significant improvements in their technique, stage presence, performance abilities, and self-confidence. In addition to their regular ballet training, they are also on a Competition Team performing various genres in front of a panel of judges. Being part of the team has been an educational, rewarding and a fun experience. The owner and founder, Michelle Sperry, has created a loving, positive, and nurturing environment for all dancers to learn and grow in the performing arts through focus and discipline. Under Michelle's vision and direction, CTD offers dancers many opportunities to perform in front of audiences at fun community events including Slice of Saugatuck in Westport, Halloween Flash Mob in Norwalk/Westport and Stew Leonard's Holiday Tree Lighting. Dancers also perform in CTD's annual holiday show The Nutcracker and the newest original spring ballet Bella & The Magic Tea Pot. With CTD's staff of professional teachers, dancers of all levels continue to thrive and enhance their performing and technical abilities through excellent choreography and direction. If you're looking for a supportive, diverse, and challenging environment for your dancer, then this studio is for you!

I was just told that she is not welcome to join in the dance recital after investing in the class for 8 months, paying for the recital costume/recital photos and her time! Flashpointe dance fed into every reason why my family encouraged me not to put my daughter in ballet. They expect perfect 3 year olds. My 3 year old ran in class and was recently kicked out of class twice. Then i received an email that she was a danger to other kids and to herself for running so she was asked not to participate in the final recital. No offers to give private lessons, no flexibility and no compassion. My 3 year old is really upset and they have crushed her spirit and mine. To make things worse, grandparents bought plane tickets to come and see this recital. She could not make the rehearsal due to a vacation we planned 6 months ago. They just told us about the rehearsal just a few weeks ago!!! This place is incredibly disorganized, unprofessional and their expectations for 3 year olds is frankly ridiculous. Flashpointe dance- you may brag to everyone that you have a dancer on a major television show but you could care less about my 3 year old or any other imperfect 3 year old who loves to dance. Despite the way you treated my daughter, she still loves to dance and we will find a friendlier, less intense environment.
