The crew worked hard and efficiently, brought their lunch so they weren't off long for that. I respect anyone that works hard and there were 5-6 men working to get my tree safely cut. Only thing negative is they broke a small ceramic pot and never told me and they moved a heavy table without putting it back. I caught the foreman and had him collect the shards of pottery and move the table back. I give them 5-stars because their work was excellent and price great so no need to take down his rating because of something so minimal. I've recommended to my neighbor!

Next day arrives and unprompted by me, he then texted me after 12 pm stating he didn't go, which shows that HE ABSOLUTELY KNOWS THAT I EXPECTED HIM TO BE THERE. This wasn't a miscommunication. Because otherwise he would have no reason to text me to let me know that he hadn't gone. He then tried to use the excuse that this was due to me not re-affirming an extra time that I wanted him to go despite him never asking me, and he then changed his story to state it was because I hadn't signed a contract that he at no point mentioned and at no point sent to me. He also stated he couldn't write the contract that fast. So then why did he tell me he could do it at 1115 am if he can't write the contract that fast? His excuses are inconsistent with each other. He very clearly took another job and expected to still have me in his back pocket to do it later. Wasn't going to Absurdly unprofessional and unreliable. Elvis reached out after I asked for a quote to remove some trees around my house. He quoted me 1500. I asked if he could do it the next day. He responded "Yes I can do it tomorrow...If you let me know now I will get my crew in touch and have them there tomorrow morning". I asked if he could go at 1115 am. He said "Yes I can go there at 11:15". Next day arrives and at 12:06 pm he tells me he didn't go and tried to blame me not confirming the appointment for a 3rd time. He then stated he wouldn't have been able to do it anyways because he needed a contract to be signed first and that takes time, which should've been mentioned before he had offered to do it previously. We ended up using somebody else, but people should be aware of how Elvis conducts business. He will promise one thing and if it doesn't work out try to blame you or then blame requirements he never brought up before.

I told the representative that either I receive a discount or I would have to go with another company. The representative said "I think it's best that you go with another company because we already gave you a discount". Not only was this unprofessional, but to inconvenience me, a paying customer, due to their lack of time management and communication is extremely unprofessional. I informed the representative that I would like to speak with the manager regarding this issue and I still have not received a returned phone call. I did reschedule with another company, Garcia professional tree service, and they did an amazing job.

I recently had JPR come and remove a tree from my yard. They got the job done but my yard is full of large dings, and they left a huge pile of the mulch from grinding the stump. After two requests it doesn't look like anything has been done to get it back to its original condition. I'm so disappointed.

Big Tex Turf / H&H Property Group - Full Review…read more Overall Product: A+ Home Office Customer Service (Pre-Warranty): A+ (with some notes below) On-Site Installation Team: A+ Sales Rep Communication & Follow-Up: D- What You Should Know Before You Book: If you have a sprinkler system, turn it off several days before install. This wasn't mentioned and caused delays. Be home during the install if possible--it's helpful to see how things are done and learn yard care tips. Ask for a brush-up service around 9-12 months after install. (Ours is still new, but we'll update once that happens.) Regret: We didn't upgrade to Cool Turf. It heats up just like the weather--something to consider if you live in a hot climate. Our Experience: We chose Big Tex Turf because they matched key items from another quote, had great reviews, and guaranteed completion before a big home event. We paid in full, so can't speak to financing. Our sales rep (Zach) started strong, but was hard to reach after booking. When weather delayed our install and left a large sand pile in the street (a safety and HOA issue), we couldn't get a hold of him--even the install team had trouble. I had to step in and offer a temporary tarp/cone solution myself. Tip: Texting a team member is more effective than calling. Calls go to the main office. Despite the sales rep gap, the installation team was excellent. They were efficient, professional, and finished the job in one day. Cleanup was great, and they came back as early as 7 AM to resolve post-install questions. 2-Year Follow-Up (as of 5/14/2025): Almost two years later, customer service remains solid. We've had a few normal turf issues and they've addressed every one quickly. The lawn still looks great--we're overall very happy. Final Thought: We recommend Big Tex Turf--just be proactive about communication and ask all your questions upfront. If you do that, you'll likely be very pleased with the results.

The most ambitious and genuinely innovative part of the project was to secure the backyard so that my dogs could no longer dig beneath my recently-installed chain link fence. Eduardo Gomez custom-tailored a comprehensive plan to trench along the fence perimeter to install 2-foot rigid root barriers, each piece of which was secured to the bottom of the chain link by bolts and nuts to a much smaller sleeve, cut from the same rigid material, on the opposite side. The finished barrier should last decades, and after a few ambitious attempts, my dogs have given up on trying to dig beneath it. To solve the perpetual drainage problem that caused a mudpit in my sideyard, Gomez Tree & Landscaping also designed and installed a limestone rock bed with embedded 2-foot square footpads. And finally, crew supervisor Antonio recommended and supervised removal of two trees and trimming of a number of large branches from other backyard trees, protecting my own and a neighbor's roofs from the damage that would result if those limbs had fallen during an upcoming hurricane season. There was no upselling or upcharging, and the final cost exactly matched the written estimates. The work was done quickly but very safely, by workers who were obviously experienced with excellent teamwork. None of this was cheap, but it was all done efficiently and professionally. I'm well pleased with the result.
