Excellent take on lasagna. I get the feeling they change their menu every month or two. Very small menu but food was super fresh and well presented. They did a seafood lasagna with cream sauce. Maybe I'd get dessert elsewhere next time, but service and food were quite good. read more

After walking almost five miles from our hotel towards the duomo this spot was a welcome reprieve for lunch. While it is located in a busy tourist area we were quick to be seated inside the tent. The tables were close together, small and a bit flimsy but we were grateful to not walk any further or stand in line to eat. Luckily language wasn't much of a barrier and even my picky husband was able to find something to eat on their extensive menu (tuna steak). I ordered the Milano pizza. Both dishes were huge and we were unable to finish. Thankfully they boxed up my pizza so I could have a late night snack back at the hotel. read more

Horrible spaghetti!! The sauce tastes like fatty ragu, ruined the seafood they gave along with it, made me throw up, and gave me heartburn. Portion sizes are American. I have never eaten anything worse in my life and I'm not just being dramatic. All I wanted was some decent food, I'm not even that picky. I've never not finished food at a restaurant. My friend ordered the Milanese veal, which the fattiest thing she has ever eaten in her life. The potatoes were bland, tasteless, fatty, and basically inedible. It's way too expensive for what you're getting. Most dishes cost around 20-25 euros. But hey, no service fee. Worst of all, there are mosquitos and I'm allergic!! My friend, who has never been bitten by a mosquito in her life, got bitten by like 15. Save your money and go to the Brera area. Or better yet, just buy some pasta and make it yourself. read more

I stumbled across The Majestic Cafe walking around the area one morning and their street menu completely stopped me in my tracks. I took a moment to further examine their menu which provided photos of everything they had to offer. One of their staff members, Mario approached me to talk to me more about the restaurant and being already sold on the menu, I promised I would eventually make it back there with my friend for dinner later that evening. I'm really glad I went back there as we were treated like guests as soon as we were seated. All the staff members made sure all our needs were met, took the time to get to know us, and even asked us to stay a little longer after our meal. By staying, the owner served us Limoncello shots which was exceptionally hospitable along with being an added delight. The meal itself was fresh and one of the best meals I had during my stay in Milan. Following dinner, my friend and I decided to be a little indulgent and share a dessert. We had ice cream with amaretto and an excessively satisfying amount of whipped cream. Needless to say, it hit the spot! The cafe really lived up to its name and if I had the opportunity to go back, there would be no hesitation. Although there are many other cafes along the same street, I highly recommend The Majestic! read more

The pasta was pretty good, but nothing amazing. Watch out with the pizza. The sauce or the cheese or who knows what that aftertaste came from... I don't think it was regular cheese. Maybe dog cheese or some other animal. On second thought do dogs even make cheese? They do because they breast-feed their puppies. Omg I just tasted a french fry and it's the oil that they use. Our family was on a day trip to Milan when we stumbled across this cafe...and what a great find! One of the servers lured us in as we were walking down the street...Mario so glad that you did! The food was exceptional, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The service was excellent, again thank you Mario!!! While in Milano Italy I had the good fortune to visit this wonderful Italian café located near Castle and Piazza Duomo. The cuisine is authentic Milanese and every item I tasted burst with flavor. This fine bistro/brasserie is very popular as evidenced by the bustling noon lunch crowd. Despite their busy pace owners/managers Andrea and Danielle graciously took time to share with me a little history of their establishment, their love for serving people and fine cuisine, and their future vision for Majestic Cafe.
