Simply put, if you highly value good service at a very reasonable price, as do I, and because Kevin highly values client satisfaction, having contracted inspection services with Majestic was a win-win for both me and Kevin! RECOMMENDATION BASED ON QUALITY: Based on the sub-par wesbite, service and report of ANOTHER inspector I contracted earlier this year (that was recommended by the realtor) on a different condo (canceled out of a short sale moving too slowly), it is clear that Majestic FAR EXCEEDS IN ALL THREE OF THOSE AREAS! RECOMMENDATION BASED ON CHARACTER: Kevin is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and informative. He does NOT conduct the inspection with a "checklist mentality", but rather, with a caring interest in his clients. STORY: On October 4, 2014, I put in an offer on a condo and had to move FAST to get the inspection done! I found Majestic Inspection Services via my own web search and from the pool of six inspectors I contacted based on my search and from realtor/friend recommendations, I selected Majestic and couldn't have asked for better! When I contracted with Majestic, I knew a radon test would be needed, but did NOT know an asbestos test would too! Kevin honed in on a suspicious pipe wrapping material in the basement and the short version of the story is that an abatement has been done and a Certificate of Re-Occupancy was issued prior to my closing date (November 21st). I can say without a doubt Kevin is a highly qualified inspector. He is very good with details and has a very professional articulate report. He should be working with more commercial buildings in this city we would be safer in our work places. I absolutely feel he is honest. I have had many issues with my location and he has proven that the building is NOT up to code with the HVAC and the clean air act. The next time I move into a location I will call on Kevin first to make sure the building is safe. The HVAC and exhaust must be adequate for all of us to breathe clean air. Kevin is very detailed, I recommend him for all your commercial and residential issues. Our City inspectors should have the same professional ethic and integrity as Kevin has. Kevin could give them a lesson on complete inspections on the older buildings here in Ann Arbor. I feel he went beyond the expectations that I expected. I feel his fees are very reasonable also. His report was very complete attaching videos and clear explanations of all the many violations of my building. I hired another inspector they gave me a two paragraph explanation, Kevin gave me a four page report with very detailed videos with no doubt about the concerns of my building. Old buildings or moving into a new one we need to be assured of quality work has been done and ALL building are brought up to code by the Michigan Rehabilitation codes of 2013. I had originally scheduled an inspection with another company and was going to be paying an arm and a leg. Being a nurse at a local hospital, I come into contact with some many different people. One being a young lady who talked to me about Majestic Inspections and how great Kevin was. She had just had her inspection with him and said I absolutely have to call him because she had nothing but positive things to say about him. That same night, I had called Kevin and he was very competitive when it came to pricing. I ended up cancelling my previous inspection company and Kevin worked me in that same week. Boy am I glad I did. My first experience with him was with a house that was a dump. If it wasn't for Kevin's honesty, professionalism, and direction, I would have been horribly let down months from now, when all the issues started becoming apparent. I was in tears and very upset but he stayed in conact with me and encouraged me to find something better. With his detailed report, I was able to use the issues in the first house to find a much better house. After finding another one, I had contacted him again because I had such a great experience with him and he worked me in within 2 days. He also, gave me a "returning customer discount" which was even better. Without him, I don't know if I would have found, in his words, "a gem of house." It is not too often that you find someone who is such good at communication and who is very thorough, personable and so good at what he does, with still not draining your pocket book. I am another very satisfied customer. This is our first home in the US and the process of buying a home is very different from our country and quite serious. House inspection has helped us a lot to close the deal, and we got very safe after Kevin's inspection. Believe it or not, there is no Home Inspection service in Brazil. Kevin (Majestic Inspection Services) inspected a house we were buying and was able to schedule the inspection on very short notice. We found him through the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors--InterNACHI web site and called him the day before. He was able to come out on a Saturday and do an outstanding job -- exactly what and when we needed. He went through each area of the house and explained everything -- both the positive things he found and the issues we should be aware of. He not only answered our questions in detail, but also showed us every step of the way and recommended next steps.
