We were on a day trip from our club. we had visited the Japanese Gardens and Waterford Crystal and stopped at the hotel for dinner before heading home to Dublin. The meal was amazing and great value for money. I had a two course meal, homemade veg soup and pork fillet with cream sauce/ cram mash potato and veg. It was beautiful, the staff were brilliant too. very attentive nothing was too much for them. they looked after us so well. The cost of the two course meal was €22.95. would without a doubt be returning again in the future. would also recommend to family and friends

The meal was basic vegetable soup that is one of those soups you could get at your nans, warming and hits the spot. Mains was chicken supreme, sage and onion stuffing with ham, 2 veg, roast potatoand mash potatoes with a beefy, salty, silky smooth jus; heaven. The service was very attentive and superb and every need was catered for. Fantastic location for a hearty family meal.

We've been in Carrick for three weeks, staying nearby, and walk to the hotel's restaurant nearly every day for tea, coffee, scones, and sometimes for lunch or dinner. The Carraig has the best wi-fi internet we've found in the town, giving us a chance to remain in touch with home in the U.S. The staff here is the best, friendly, helpful. They're open from about 8 AM until late, and can pull a really nice pint (or half-pint if you prefer) of Guinness, as well as a selection of other beverages. We haven't had occasion to use the hotel facilities, but no doubt they'll measure up to the downstairs. Thanks to all the staff for providing a home away from home.

Its a popular hotel, and parking had extended across the grass lawns by late Saturday afternoon, as there was a Poker Classic on. Anyway, down to the food menu. Part of the stay is complimentary tea & scones on arrival; ours were still steaming they were so fresh from the over, yummy. Later then, two grilled sirloin steaks, mushrooms, onions, bowl of chips, side-salad if you ask nicely, accompanied by their new house red, a False Bay Shiraz at just €18, which washed it all down just nicely. The steaks were succulent right through. We chose to share a dessert then, a big slice of chocolate cake with choc sauce drooling over it. The choc sauce is tasty as its made in-house, not so the cake part; bought in apparently, a bit shall we say, saw-dusty ! They do good coffee though, and the full Irish next morning was delivered promptly to our room (extra charge of course) which just filled us up the more. It is quintessentially Ireland, with fantastic food, ambience, and top-notch service. We had a blast, overindulging in food and drinks at the Guinness Bar and for Afternoon Tea. If you are on the fence about booking this five-star boutique hotel in the heart of Ireland... don't hesitate. It's amazing.
