The service was terrible, I bought a dress for new years and after one wear half on the gems fell off I have been going back and forward with customer service and have only gotten the automated responses. Once I finally got an answer they said they can't do anything I spent 400 on dress just to wear it once and throw it out. I wanted an exchange for the same exact dress and they refused to help me. I wish I read these reviews. Same experience as everyone else. Ordered an item online. After waiting for weeks, the Fedex tracking number said label created but it was never picked up from the warehouse. I contacted customer service, and they told me it was my responsibility to track the package down with UPS....even though it was shipped through Fedex. I contacted them again, and copied both the CEO and and CEO of the parent company ( elina.kousourna@smcp.com, paul.griffin@smcp.com) Neither of them bothered replying. I got an automatic refund with an $8 restocking charge. I contacted them AGAIN, copied C-suite again, and finally got a full refund. I should have read yelp reviews before I placed an online order with them! One dress I ordered has a faulty zipper that won't be pulled and closed completely at the waist area! So I called their customer service, was told to submit photos by email and someone will respond in 48 hours. I emailed them photos and waited for a week, no response! I called them again, was told my email was received and would need upper management review, the rep asked me to wait another 48 hours. Of course no one has replied! I think they use promotional sale to dump the products with quality issues to their customers, defraud customers with a return policy that actually does not exist! Do not buy from Maje! I purchased in store a pleated dress that was well over 100 euros. It completely lost shape after one wash in accordance with Maje's care instructions. Customer service was awful, they accused me of machine-washing, told me the dress hasno design flaw, and basically told me to get lost. I didn't even try to get a refund, I just wanted advice on how to recover the pleats. This is a "high-end" store that offers less customer care than your local H&M, it's total crap. read more

So if it doesn't fit, you have to keep it. I decide not to buy with them anymore until they change their policy to match America return policy. Very disappointed with the customer service. Bought a coat in store for 600+, and 2 days later, they launched a promotion that everything over 500 is 125$ off. Tried to get the price adjustment, but was rejected because the coat I bought was on sale(not a final sale). I didn't even wear it once, and the price tag is still on it! Totally understand that you have your own policy, but you are working with human beings, not just system. Have to say I love Maje and Sandro. Bought couple from them this year. Their design is great and unique, although they are little pricy and it's at least 1/3 more than Europe. (Bought a dress in the summer and found the same one in Germany with almost half less.), it's still hard to say no to pretty clothes sometimes. However, as important as your product, the customer service you provide is also the key to keep your customers want to coming back. Definitely don't recommend purchasing in store any more, especially when they are on sale, and they have almost everything on sale, you just need to wait. Bloomingdales/ Saks carry the two brand as well, and the service is way much better than the store. Even purchasing online gives you 14 days to return when they are on sale. Beautiful jewelry but VERY poorly made and expensive. I love their zodiac necklaces but the first one fell off my neck (no closing clasp) and the second one (with a redesigned clasp that closes) broke after 3 months and is unusable! No refund or replacement parts as it's after 30 days. Just a promo code, but I'm buying the Etsy knockoff next time anyway as I'm not going to buy the same thing for a third time and have it inevitably break again. Just buy from Bloomingdale's. Maje's return policy is designed in a way so that you'll never get your money back. If you bought something from here and want to return it, just check to see if your credit card benefits include something called "return protection." Don't bother going back to Maje - they definitely won't give you your money back, only store credit at most if you bought the item at FULL price. Sale = any item purchased at a discounted price, including items that are listed at full-price but the entire store is having a promotion. These are considered final sale. Save yourself the trouble and buy from Bloomingdale's. It's no surprise that you rarely see any customers at their boutiques. read more

Never order online from them. Maje USA is an embarrassment to the brand. I have been shopping at Maje in France for close 8 years and never had issues like this. I purchased clothing of over $400 from the online site, which was never delivered. The error was on Maje's part - the address label for my delivery was printed incorrectly, the package is now lost. Customer Service has been appalling. I call them three times daily to get no response or follow up. This is equivalent to customer harassment. If I can give a zero star they deserve it! I ordered a coat which is 30% off from a boutique store. No one at the store said all sales are final sales which itself is already unreasonable. 6 days later I went to return the coat with the original receipt and tag attached ( not wore one time). The staff at the store then told me all sales are final sales. The coat is too heavy for Southern California weather. The girl laughed at me saying it will get cold in January! I went to the website called the customer service. They say they only serve online customers! They have nothing to with their boutique stores! And guess what? I purchased a parka from Maje 2 winters ago. After the first winter, the lining was shredded and threadbare and the pockets sewn into the sides of the jackets were coming off. Worst customer service ever! Our package was lost two weeks ago and I was basically told it was our problem to figure out with FedEx. After filing a claim with FedEx, they then informed us that only the shipper could inquire about the resolution of the claim. Called Maje back and was told they would look into it and call us back within 24 hours, which they never did. I just called Maje AGAIN and was hung up on after asking to speak with a supervisor. This review is for Maje customer service online and it's terrible. I ordered a dress online and paid for "next day shipping." Expecting to receive my item within 1-2 days at most. But I received an email confirmation that it will arrive in 4 days. I called Maje right away letting them know the item will not arrive in time for my travels and I won't be home to receive the package. They re-routed the item right away back to Maje and refunded me minus the $30 shipping charge. In the checkout process there is no other message of fine print or terms and conditions anywhere on the page explaining processing times or estimated date of arrival. Most customers will think "next day" means overnight to 1 day shipping and at most 2 days, not 4 days! I proceeded to explain my case to a supervisor on the phone, but to no avail I was not offered a refund for the $30 shipping charge. These days processing times are very quick and packages arrive very quickly. If it says "next day" the package should arrive the next day. Maje needs to change what they call their shipping or else I wouldn't be an extremely upset customer. read more

I have never had worst customer service from any other brand, ever. I placed my order on July 6th. They claimed my package was shipped, but it never arrived. It turned out that they had assigned my tracking number to two different shipments, and due to their mistake my package had never shipped. When I called--I made several phone calls--they confirmed that it was their mistake, but told me I had to wait up to 14 business days until they confirmed with their warehouse to make sure that the package they had somehow lost had returned, and that I wouldn't get the product or a refund until after. I called after two weeks. They told me to wait. No apology or explanation. I later got a terse email that told me that "due to a shipping exception" my order had returned to their warehouse, that the warehouse had confirmed the shipping error and return on July 16th, and that my refund should be processed within 10 business days from that date. Again, there was no explanation, apologetic note, or even a formal "sorry for your inconvenience." I almost thought it had been my mistake to begin with. This email arrived way after July 16th, though, so I thought my refund must have been placed. Mid-August, and my refund had never been processed. I called my credit card company to make sure. No, there had been no refund. I emailed Maje, including the original order number, and the email they had sent me that explicitly said the refund would occur within ten business days after July 16th, just to make their job easier. They never replied. I gave them a week, got no response. I called Maje again. The customer service got angry at me for asking how much longer it would take for me to receive the refund, I had placed the order in early July? She was shouting over me to tell me that it would go to corporate, I'd have to wait. Oh, the refund had never been placed. I'm still waiting for that refund to happen, for an order I placed 6,7 weeks ago, that got cancelled without my knowledge due to Maje's mistake, without getting an apology, a response, or a proper explanation other than "wait another ~ business days." Worst customer service ever. Honestly--go for Club Monaco, if you're looking for feminine with a sturdy solid fit. Looking for something French/chic? Cool, look on Sezane, Kooples, or for something cheaper, French Connection. Better material, better designs, more sizes, better service BY FAR (never experienced any of this bullshit with any other company, and when an order was out of stock after I placed an oder, I'v received personalized apologies to my inbox from their customer service teams, and when refunds were late due to their error I got special discounts/promotions for future use.) I've shopped at Maje in Paris before and I never had an issue. However, this time I bought a dress and it needed some alterations. I was in Paris for a week and the sales person assured me that the dress will be ready by Thursday (I bought it on Sunday), and that they would call me to come and pick it up. After not receiving a phone call as promised I called them myself, they had no idea who I was or what I was talking about. After multiple calls and explanations and inquiries they said my dress was not ready and they don't know when it is going to be ready. I clearly stated that I have a flight out of Paris the following Saturday morning and if they can't alter the dress by then I wouldn't have bought it. They said whatever they had to to sell me the dress and never altered it. I couldn't even pick it up back at the store as it was at a "tailor location" (they also said they have in-store tailor, turned out to be a lie as well). I had to go search for my dress on the outskirts of Paris after work on Friday to have it before my Saturday morning flight out.
