While…read moreperusing the clothing racks, I saw a cute dress and checked the size thinking there was no way the dress was going to fit. Lo and behold, the whole rack was filled with extended sizes! Seeing all the cute and trendy clothing options available for me to try on was so uplifting. Everything was adorable and seemed like truly high quality clothes. The staff was helpful and encouraging. It was honestly a great shopping experience. In addition to dresses and tops, I also purchased a cute and comfy pair of shoes. I will definitely be going back to Poppy and Stella. If you are also disappointed by all the plus sized clothing options out there, check out Poppy and Stella for trendy and high quality clothing options.

I came once on a weekend over the summer and it was PACKED. However, I had no trouble getting help from one of the very helpful store associates. I came away with a slightly pricy, but very unique "Charm City" print (~$35) that brings me joy every time I look at it. I came another time for some holiday shopping in the middle of a weekday, and had the luxurious opportunity to take my time and browse through everything. The store associates were so helpful and helped me talk through the pros / cons of a few items I was looking at. With their 25% sale, I was able to find 2 substantial-ish stocking stuffers for ~$15 which was great. Excited to treat myself to another trinket / item when I find myself here next.

Sheep's Clothing is my favorite store. Visiting Sheep's is a uniquely special experience. There is no website, no social media profile for this place. If you're like me, then you probably stumbled upon it while walking the more residential streets of Fells. It's so refreshing to just find a place, not to be advertised to go there. Hell, the only advertisement for this place that exists is a road sign on the corner. The store has been around for at least forty years. Charles, who was an art professor at UMD, and his wife Darcy are the only employees. They import goods from the UK and Ireland, traveling there yearly to scope out what's good. What isn't from Europe is a selection of pottery, postage, tea towels, etc from the east coast. I love their goods. Everything is quality, everything is so well sought out. Their two-tone cardigans are so cute, and they're honestly priced fair for what they are. This store is so lovely, and the effort put into sourcing the wool goods and curating the storefront is so palpable. I also love chatting with the owners. Please, please pay these guys a visit, if not for their 100% (which is rare these days) wool sweaters then for the atmosphere and the knickknacks and literally everything else.
