Sometimes, it is the little villages that have the best wonders. We were in tiny Barbizon for a wedding and had some time to try the local cuisine. This is one of those wonderful quiet towns in the fall that was not over-run with tourists. Right in the middle of the main street is a wonderful spot that does have bread, but its main claim to fame is an incredible variety of deli and prepared foods.
The preparations were fresh and wonderful. From the very French gelle that had salmon in it. To curries that were extremely good. And of course a huge selection of saucission for every occasion.
We really loved getting this and then having a picnic outside. What a perfect way to spend a day in the countryside of Franch. read more
