Stopped in one of the Bordeaux locations, where the girl working the counter was incredibly delightful as we work through our tasting in Franglish. I suppose a real connoisseur would tell you there are finer chocolates to be had in France, but I'm going five stars on this one simply to say thanks for the helpful staff person. She made our day!

En tout, ce sont 24 chocolats aux parfums différents qui sont présentés dans de larges paniers en osier et sont fabriqués artisanalement dans la boutique, devant les consommateurs. I've tried one their grand cru hot chocolates from the Dominican Republic and it's my favorite I've had thus far. The chocolate is thick and rich and the price point is fair as well. I'm in Bordeaux until June so I will be frequenting this place a lot more.

At €1.90 each, they're not cheap, but this was the best one I've had in Bordeaux. The outside has a nice caramelized crust, the inside is still moist by not too dense, and it's not overly sweet. They have other things in the shop like nice chocolates, chocolate bars, desserts, madelines, sables, etc. I would definitely recommend this place for a canele in Bordeaux.
