How do you find a fragrance that really appeals to you, yet is unique enough so you won't smell like every other guy? Make it yourself of course! Don't worry, though. They guide you every step of the way so you aren't completely clueless. lol
In a city full of those super trendy high-end fragrance brands, Maison Candora's humble storefront in Paris' 4th arrondissement stands out by offering customers a two-hour fragrance workshop complete with an invaluably informative powerpoint and a 50ml bottle of your own creation! They have jars of different ingredients/scents (i.e. vetiver, rose, oud, etc.) and you basically use tester strips to narrow down your fragrance to the three you think works best. From there, use a measuring cup to figure out your ideal proportions. Once that's done, they'll bottle it up for you and keep your formula on file in case you would like to order again in the future.
Béatrice attended to me on my visit. She was friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable, though I expected noting less from one of Candora's co-founders. Her valuable insight and suggestions helped me create a scent I enjoyed and was proud of!
