A jazz lovers's heaven! Cozy bar with wonderful Dixie band. Great service. We didn't order food. Not sure what their food options are.best spot on Bourbon street for great jazz.

Such a fun jazz bar right on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. I was there for a private party on the 2nd floor, where there's another bar, two rooms and doors that lead out to the balcony. It's fun to watch people below you on the street. On the first floor they have the live entertainment and in this night they had a great band that seemed to do Hall & Oates classics and other songs that I knew and love. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I'm glad I know about now for future trips.

Bought a ticket to Maison Bourbon's Mardi Gras balcony event & it was well worth the money! Balcony had a great view of Bourbon Street & was a good size, perfect for people watching and throwing beads!! Maison Bourbon's Mardi Gras event ticket included open bar (tons of drink options to choose from!), seating to put your feet down, and a selection of tasty food (spinach artichoke dip, sandwiches, king cake, shrimp pasta, etc.). The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great experience - loved spending Mardi Gras at Maison Bourbon!

A nice place to listen to live jazz on Bourbon Street. Its a bar with no frills drinks. Some tables and chairs and plenty of jazz tunes. There are no servers... you go to the bar to order your drinks.

Stopped in to catch some jazz and grab a Yuengling. Cool place. Enjoyable. Fun! Rich in atmosphere and tradition. Great weather in NOLA was a bonus.

If you come to the French Quarter looking for classic Nola jazz, this is a great place for it. There is a one drink minimum for all patrons but we'll worth it for the quality of entertainment. We've been here a few times always sitting with a smile, a tapping foot and occasional clapping. Awesome music. There is seating scattered throughout and have always been able to get a table. Even when crowded, if you wait a few songs or a set, there seems to be a rotation of people making it possible to grab a seat. It's got a classic old fashioned vibe. You can really see the age of the place and it adds to the overall experience. If you're walking by, go on in and give a listen. You won't be disappointed!

This is a great Jazz club and bar. It's right on Bourbon Street and you can see in through windows along the street. The music music is great and the energy level is high. Drinks are priced as you'd expect but it is a super fun place to go and hear great music and meet new people.

The jazz band played 5 sets through the night and were amazing. The mint juleps were the second star of the show!

Excellent music every time I go here. Drink prices are a little steep but there is only a one drink minimum and no cover.

This is a smaller jazz club that is right on Bourbon Street with big, wide windows. We specifically chose this place because they actually have live music and because it was not too crowded. We liked the energy level of the band and the crowd as well. It made for a very festive atmosphere. The drinks here were nice too and not too expensive.

Small portions don't match the prices, especially for a big man looking for a nice piece of fish, side etc.

We had the blacken fish and red beans and rice, the best meal we had in the French Quarter. I would recommend. Go early, they do get busy.

On a previous trip we had seen an evening show at Snug Harbor and wanted to experience something else. We had read good things about the Spotted Cat and their sets run all afternoon. We were a little confused about price because one of our guidebooks said there is no cover but you're supposed to order drinks. There was a doorman who charged us something like $5 each (still cheap!) and we ordered beer and a N/A drink at the bar and listened to a great jazz group playing old-time jazz. Interior is tiny and you're pretty close to the performers. We were standing at first but eventually found some seats as people left. There is even a back courtyard if you want to be outside, although I don't know if you can hear the music or not. We bought a CD from the band and enjoyed it when we got back home. All in all, a great New Orleans experience.

Front seats are WORTH the money!! Each artist got to highlight a song of their choosing and each one ATE! They left no crumbs. I must have been a smiling fool in the 2nd row seats, but music, personally, is the best way to get through me. Years in music myself, I understand the dedication and commitment it takes. You FEEL that here when they are on stage performing. Jazz and its spontaneity and history is the cornerstone to Preservation Hall. I LOVE that there is no recording/picture taking allowed (unless the artists strictly tell you otherwise). It helps keep their art intact but helps immerse yourselves with them into their craft. It looks like it's an art museum with nothing but different variations of the famous blue dog painting, which I thought was cool. Rachel was my bartender. She was very polite. The music was great. It wasn't the kind of jazz you get up and dance to it was the kind of jazz you sit and listen to while really taking in and appreciating the amount of skill it takes to create music like this.
