My condo property manager hired this company to work on the building (not my unit). They needed access to my unit to complete the work and destroyed my floors. It's been over 500 days and neither the property management company, TSE management services, nor Mainline have done anything to rectify the issue. It's further troubling that my property manager continues to give this company business after such a big failure. BE AWARE!!!!!!!!!! I was forced to use these guys as they are the co for the condo I'm in. What is a "truck charge"...to travel you your place in the GTA, the trip was hardly 10 kms...They have a minimum charge of $120...they came to replace a diverter in the shower...the tech tells me the cost of the part being $35, but when the final invoice arrives via email 5 days later, you get these surprises.On the on the invoice the part now is almost double in cost...WTF? and before they confirm the appt. they confirm your credit card FIRST!...so you already screwed even before they do anything!!!! read more

The Plumber just left my condo - I commend him as he was clean and organized and did the job quickly. The company itself I have problems with. - At a time when we are told NEVER to give out personal information over the phone, Mainline Plumbing wanted my credit card information over the phone before the appointment was even confirmed. - When the plumber finished I received a bill with no pricing on it, but I had to sign the iPad. So now they have my credit card and my signature and I have NO IDEA how much my very minor toilet repair is going to cost. -It is a minimum 2 hour on site fee, the plumber was here about 45 minutes. - If I don't like the price I get, I will call the credit card company to halt payment. I don't want to see any additional fees or anything that I deem unacceptable. Regardless of the value of the bill I will not be doing business with this company again. Their payment practices are questionable at minimum and possibily illegal. (I live in Toronto) read more

This contractor is used by my condo corp, and several of us have made the mistake of assuming they knew the building, and have hired them privately. Please do not hire them! The Mainline plumber was asked to cut and install shutoffs on both water delivery pipes under my sink so that my (excellent Home Depot) contractors could install my kitchen. He was shown the plans, but : 1) apparently could not read them, as he cut the pipe too short, causing problems when my contractor came to install my new sink. 2) the hot water began leaking as soon as he left, and I had to call them back. I assumed there was not enough packing, and suggested this to the apprentice who was sent! He repacked the threads, and my own plumber later dealt with it. When our condo corp suggested they get estimates to install low-flow toilets, several owners shouted NOT to use this company, so I know there are other unhappy owners in my building. read more

I contacted Mainline Plumbing because they were recommended by my condo manager. I had two items - changing a kitchen faucet that had been leaking and replacing a hot water valve that wasn't shutting off. They fixed both items to my satisfaction, but I would also recommend them for other reasons: 1) When I talked with them to schedule the appointment, they told me that it would be cheaper for me to buy the faucet myself at a big box store and have them install it, rather than get it from them, because the big box stores had better prices due to large volume buying. I didn't do that for various reasons, but appreciated them looking out for me. 2) When they checked my hot water valve, they told me that it didn't require replacing, just tightening. The quoted estimate was adjusted accordingly. I would also like to commend Ivan, who was pleasant and professional. I will be moving to a house of my own this year and will definitely call Mainline Plumbing for any necessary plumbing jobs. read more

According to my landlord they told him that replacing the entire faucet would not solve our issue but that it would be better to wait months for parts to repair the cartridge. I have spoken to several plumbers who have stated that that is ridiculous as replacing the faucets would replace the cartridges and if a known brand was used it would lead to less trouble in the future. read more

This was the first time we called Mainline Plumbing Services as they came highly recommended and we must say that we are extremely impressed and pleased with them from the polite individual that answered the phone in the middle of the night to the very professional and knowledgeable plumber who showed up within the hour of the phone call to clear a clogged drain that was backing up water onto our newly renovated hardwood floors. He did the job quickly and efficiently. We highly recommend this company and will definitely be calling them again if needs be!! read more
