Cardiff Bus has no interest in accurate timetabling for customer, and is only interested in average times regardless of how that affects driver behaviour in skipping stops - the stats look good. I was informed that their advice (though not written anywhere) is to expect it 5 minutes earlier. If only their buses all had a 5 minute waiting time between them. On time is on time. Late is late. Early is early. To fob me off with an excuse of it's not a timing point' indicates the level to which the customer is reduced to less important than statistics. It shows where their priorities lie. Getting really tired ofsuch poor service across the board with nothing being done due to some piss-poor excuse. This won't change anything either, but at least you know now not to rely on them and give yourself a wide margin for their error. Cardiff should be embarrassed by the association.

As a regular customer of Newport Bus (and having ridden Stagecoach buses as well), this is one of the best services I've ever used. ~ Price: If you're a student, I highly recommend purchasing a UNIGO pass; the best deal is a £300 down payment but in return you get unlimited travel on any Newport Bus service for a year. An absolute steal in my opinion because from what I've seen, Stagecoach doesn't offer anything near the equivalent. ~ Buses: They either use the single-story buses or the double-decker ones depending on which route you're taking. They usually take into consideration whether or not it's peak time for loads of students and bring out the double-decker ones, which I think is pretty awesome that they think about the customers. The interiors of the buses themselves are fine as well. From my experience, they're kept relatively clean (the shabbier ones are their older buses, but even those aren't that bad) and the newer double-decker buses have extremely cushy comfortable seats. --- But you want to know the best thing about Newport Bus? The free Wi-Fi on board at DECENT SPEEDS! And if you're not obsessed with Wi-Fi like I am, they also give you free daily newspapers to keep yourself entertained during your journey. As far as public transportation goes, you'd really be hard pressed to find anything that even competes with Newport Bus's quality of service. I believe they do coach hire as well, but I haven't utilised that to comment.

They…read moreare usually on time and the prices are very reasonable, I would go as far as to say the prices are dirt cheap when compared to some of the competition that run services in the same area. The buses I usually catch appear to have seen a bit of service so I'm unsure of how new their vehicles are but they do have a selection of different vehicles which run different services. The smaller the service, the older the bus appears to be the way they organise things but you will not hear me complain about this as they get you where you want to be and usually on time, and cheap. Cheap, cheap, cheap, a few times I have boarded and the ticket machine hasn't worked. I've been asked if I know the price to which I respond that I don't and have been allowed to board for free. The only let down is that they don't accept all tickets from all operators but you can't have everything can you.

There are also special events at Valentines and Christmas. The Christmas Special is really lovely with mince pies and mulled wine for the adults and juice and biscuits for the children. Each child gets to see Father Christmas and the gift that they receive is remarkably good quality. There is a small playground on site and a cafe. There is also a shop selling paintings and children's toys. A really enjoyable day out, especially the Thomas themed days when the trains are dressed up as the charaters from Thomas The Tank Engine.

Another taxi from the same firm cost £4.50 and this one cost £12.80 (though it was a minibus, so should have been £7.00 or so). Extremely unpleasant driver who thought we would be a soft touch. A horrible end to our evening. Avoid this firm and choose another.
