The customer service over the years has been top notch. After a big storm the red flag on top flew away and they sent me a new one for free or for a small fee, twice over the past decade. If you like custom designing your own set, like I did, and like natural wood I highly recommend them. Our set is in Utah with long snowy winters and long hot, dry summers and I'm just now needing to replace some of the swings. Wasp's love the cedar so they recommend Beetour.com to use with it. If I had a choice to do it all over again I would not want a plastic or metal one found at playgrounds just because I prefer the look of wood for a backyard and I would definitely buy from Cedar Works again.

I received incorrect chairs which were very expensive. The back cushions were wrong and the measurements were incorrect. She claims the were correct although any and all correspondence say otherwise. She will not make it right, I have not received my sofa. My feeling is she did not confirm with the design house that they got corrections since both things were wrong on the chairs and the sofa. Hoping to not have to change the cushions, she responded that the style I wanted was not graceful. Insulting client, bad form. I cannot tell you how many conversations we had about the cushions and measurements of the chairs. Probably best to use other decorators In town to that stand behind their product. This company is highly unprofessional.

This was one of the larger shops in the Main Street stretch of shops in Camden. Also due to the large space they had the largest variety of goods available. I suspect and hope much of the items are locally made. Some things that stood out were beautiful made wooden cutting bowls, wooden bowls, and some cool looking metal lamps. No interaction with staff here during our visit so can't speak to service. Didn't look at the prices of a lot of items but I suspect some if not a lot of the items would be pricy but everything did seem well made. Was worth our time to browse and I suggest you do the same. Maybe you will like the items even more than we did.

The Hoff and I visited here almost accidentally - we were looking for a different pottery shop, but happened upon the site for Rockport Pottery, followed a winding road for what seemed like an extended distance, only to find a sign that said the shop hours had past - but I saw the "OPEN" flag flying outside an open door to what looked like a shop near a house. So we pulled into the driveway and took a look. We didn't see anyone, but there was note that explained the process for buying pieces. I was shocked. I guess I'm not as trusting of human nature as the owners of this shop. So we did as we were told and as we finished wrapping two oil lamps, Richard came in. We got to talking, and he shared with us his feelings about pottery, why it's made, how it's sold, etc. He was clearly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his craft. But what surprised me more than his business model was his generosity when we mentioned that we had just become engaged. He insisted on giving us an engagement gift, "since I probably won't have the chance to give you a wedding gift." After asking my color preference (blue), he gave me some options. The first thing he selected was a set of four bowls (each $28 dollars) that I had been looking at but decided I couldn't afford. He was immensely kind, and it made me feel so good about our visit to Rockport Pottery and gave me all sorts of happy feelings about my engagement. That's a bit silly, of course, but Rockport Pottery is a place of good energy and good people.

But when I called Amy to explain the situation, she seemed perplexed as how to solve the problem and passed me on to her assistant. All I wanted was a UPS label so I could send the gift merrily on its way. Instead I was instructed to return the item before they could ship out a replacement. And it took 5 calls to accomplish that. Seriously? I've been in retail for many years and that just isn't how it's done. Making the customer satisfied should be paramount. Months later, I still have a bitter taste in my mouth... that even their Frontier Maple Syrup can't sweeten.
