The wine tour was excellent we had an extensive tour of the grounds and they make their wine. It was the best tour we got the whole trip. The brewery had corn hole which made a great activity as our day was winding down. The pub lunch was great and had choices for everyone. Cons: Definitely overpriced for "tasting tours" when out of the three places when we only got one real "tour". Pretty disappointed and we all wished we got actual tours of the distillery and brewery since that is what we paid for. We didn't get to stay at the winery very long or hang out before we had to leave-- we thought this was the best location out of all three.

We were able to take the train from Center City to Doylestown. At Doylestown, their driver - Linda (actually the founder) was there to greet us. Leading up to the planning of this event, we worked with Linda and had a very good experience. She knew the area, suggested eateries and talked about the country side. All this just added what I call "free extras" to the already low price. Plus there are shopping baskets, bottles of water, and storage cases for new wine while on your journey. This is a well thought out operation. We had a group of 5. Our biggest concern is who we would sit with on the bus; however, after the first stop everyone was loosened up (the first stop allows you to pour or own samples!) and the conversations just started rolling out. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the staff behind the bar (wish I knew her name). The customer service is impeccable! The staff was very friendly, and attentive! She was very knowledgeable about the wines and gave us a little history about the tasting. We chose to do two tastings (you can choose 6 wines) so we intentionally chose different wines so that we could broaden our horizon. The wines were great. All tasty however, some did not sit well with my pallet. I really like that they offer oyster crackers to eat while you are tasting the wine to clean you pallet prior to the next tasting. I wish some other wineries would do that. If your pallet is clear prior to tasting different wines you will really be able to identify all of the notes of the different wines. The ambiance was nice as always. Tomasello Winery in Lambertville, NJ is a small quaint tasting room in the middle of old town Lambertville. There isn't much room however, the small space offers a more intimate tasting experience. Overall, it was a great experience. I especially enjoyed all of their ciders particularly the apple cider and watermelon cider. I was able to take some bottles home as well. I thought it was really nice and sweet for the lady to hold our bottles while we went shopping in the town so that we would not have to carry our bottles from store to store. We did the flight tasting of the various and ended up buying a bottle of the Cab Franc and the Petit Verdot...both paired well with Monday's grilling. My family and I enjoy coming to the live music events and dancing every year during summer. The wine is very tasty and I would recommend any of their wines! It was a beautiful sunny warm day, so we decided to enjoy the flight outside. The grounds are beautiful. The place was not crowded when we visited. There was only one other couple visit visiting with two dogs. The one thing that bugged me, the samples were poured into "plastic". Next visit, I will speak up. Of the 6 wines, WE LOVED the "Reserved Chardonnay" $25 and "Reserved Cab. Franc" $45. Of course, our two favorites came home with us! Brook Hollow Winery is located right off of Route 80, just about on the Pennsylvania borderline.

After the fifth car or so shows up, you're going to have a bit of an adventure figuring out where to put your own. There are random offshoots from the unpaved driveway with handmade parking signs, but it can get dicey. At least one giant room with high ceilings and a ton of space to move around in? Well, no. It's honestly more like a garage that hasn't been cleaned out in 20 years. Countryside views of a vineyard to admire? Well, no. There was a chicken coop. A port-a-potty with a flower pot or two nearby. About 20 random buckets just outside collecting dust. And trees. Lots of trees. Every consistent trait I've seen from a winery was openly flouted here, and yet it worked and was easily one of my all-time favorites. I stopped by with an old chum on Saturday afternoon, unfortunately not for very long (which is what happens when you just decide that the DMV inspection site is going to be open on Veterans Day. Lesson learned.). I stumbled across a review of this place a few weeks earlier and my quirk radar went off. One of my tribe had opened a winery. I could feel it. It was less than a 10-minute drive from the Point Pleasant area on Route 32. If you're not that comfortable navigating some of these old school Bucks County roads, I'd strongly recommend confirming your GSP is working before embarking on this journey - the signal is rough in the valley, and I definitely had to manually jigger around with Google Maps more than I wanted to. This is by no means an insult, but Desiato's is one discarded bathtub away from being considered an out-and-out hoarder situation. It's SO overstimulating to look around, both inside and out. There are random items everywhere; it feels like you're in a kitschy antique store, or one of the early incarnations of a TGI Fridays with random ephemera on the wall. It's a sight. The service to me is what really sets this apart though. We were greeted effusively at the door by the proprietor Lou (short for Luigi), who asked for our names and remembered them throughout our visit - and by the end was hollering across the room to me, "Em! You can pay here!" It felt so comfortable in there, and reaches a level of hospitality you honestly don't really encounter in a non-Michelin establishment. Truly wild, truly amazing. The wine almost ends up being an afterthought, which is pretty insane. I obviously have to come back for a much longer visit, but we only had time for a quick nip. I ordered a hot wine that had spicy nutmeg vibes to it (it started with an I and was certainly an Italian name), and hit the spot - given that it was hovering in the high 40s, it was seasonably appropriate to boot. The only downside was that we took our drinks outside to continue exploring, which meant my last few sips were colder, but that's the life I chose. Just to top this off, when we came back in to pay, there was just a random cat on the counter (bring your Benadryl if needed). His name was Oakie (sp?). My only regret on this visit besides the short duration was that I never confirmed if he was named after a Chardonnay description or a Dust Bowl inhabitant.

From the moment we sat down, Dee made us feel completely taken care of. She's an exceptional bartender--knowledgeable, fast, and genuinely fun to talk to. She remembered our drink preferences after the first round and even suggested a couple of off-menu twists that were spot-on. The food was excellent too. Everything that came out of the kitchen was delicious, well-seasoned, and plated with care. What really stood out, though, was how much attention Dee paid to the little things. She checked in at just the right times, noticed when we were ready for another round before we even flagged her down, and kept the whole experience smooth without ever feeling rushed or overlooked. It's rare to find someone who combines incredible drink-making skills with that level of genuine hospitality and detail-oriented service. Dee elevates the entire place. There wasn't much in the way of business. maybe two people seated at the bar and two-three others at tables. Still, nobody greeted us or even so much as a 'be with you in a moment.' Kept looking around, no sign of wines made in the winery. not sure if it's still running or if it's been turned into an event venue but we were giving it every chance. The place has only limited hours to be open. It showed a limited menu and there was no way the place could have been called busy. For all the attentiveness of the staff, we didn't exist and with no one by the door I'm not sure what someone could have walked off with. Heck maybe there was a server there and she got stolen. In the end we left. Our last visit had been disappointing, but we were willing to give them another try. Against all odds this 2nd try was even more disappointing. It has limited hours and even then, the staff still can't be bothered to even say 'hello.' Save your time and give your money to a place that actually wants to greet it's customers
