The girl…read morehelping me said they could do a certain type of plant (I can't remember what she called it), but with the kind of flowers they put in it, they would have water tubes and only last about 8 hours. Since this was to be the delivered the day before the funeral I told her I didn't want that kind and wanted something that would last longer. I spent $102 total and got an ugly, plain plant with the $20 crystal cross that I requested stuck on the dirt and pushed against the plant. The plant was so plain that I was ashamed of it and apologized to the family. I have used this florist multiple times in the past and have always been thrilled. This order was a complete disappointment. Next time I will make sure we are both on the same page.

I called the kind folks over at Lilygrass Flowers and Decor and they checked the zip codes as a first step to be sure they were the right team for the job. Turns out they were! Ordering over the phone was easy. They were able to email me photos of bouquets they had on hand to see if it matched my vision. They worked with me to customize the each order and let me know the expected delivery date. They sent me an email receipt which I was able to review and call them with a couple of minor changes. The flowers were delivered the next day. They were great about calling me when they ran into unforeseeable challenges delivering one of the orders. We got it figured out and the recipient received the order without problems. The Lillygrass team helped me curate a special bouquet for people in my life who are special to me. We hadn't been before, but we were in mind to try something different for a date night. As the weather was expected to be in the 40s temp., we donned our plaid shirt jackets, gloves, caps, etc. we took a large heavy blanket and some old fashioned thermos bottles full of decaf coffee. Once there, we felt like we stepped into quite an experience. The movie was showing and there were nice rows and rows of camping chairs full of people intently watching. (We arrived a few minutes late). What was strange is that it was eerily quiet! We found a place to spread our blanket and then settled in to watch. We laughed out loud at all the many parts that were so funny, however no one else laughed! How could this be?!? It was so silent. If it wasn't so cold you would have heard crickets! We continued to laugh, trying not to break the spell everyone was under. During the movie, we grabbed two sandwiches and two waters from the food truck.. Almost $25! They were okay, but too high for the quality. Also, we were very excited about having a hot piece of pie and sipping coffee. This food truck only served cold, cream pies. While very good, not ideal for this outdoor weather. The tree farm had a large fire pit. If you needed to warm a bit. Overall, we had a great time sitting outdoors, laughing (albeit alone and surrounded by ghostly figures wrapped in blankets all slumped in chairs), and sipping coffee while watching a great Christmas classic. The event was extremely well organized. Thank you to the Wells family for making this possible. We would definitely recommend, and perhaps make this a new tradition! We'll bring friends next time! Also, there is an opportunity to cut your own tree or to choose from their pre-cut selections. They had live music the weekend we were there (Thanksgiving weekend) as well as Santa, food trucks, and an indoor space with restrooms and hot chocolate.
