I walked around to a store jam caked with unique kitchen items. It was glorious! The had a meat tenderizer there that was the same as an item in Amazon, but priced lower! I bought EVOO and tasty peach vinegar. They are even environmentally friendly with their reusable bottles. The owners are wonderful friendly people. They also feed and trap (to neuter and spay) the stray cats in the area. I will definitely be back. It was an enjoyable visit. They have many delicious rare food items also.

I went with a different company who assured me that my gift would arrive on time. When that company failed to deliver my friend's gift I called Tulips back and went on a virtual shopping spree over the phone. Meredith walked me through tons of products and made recommendations for a self-care package and then assured me they would send it out in the mail that day. I can't say enough nice things about how lovely Meredith was. I received a phone call from Maria (another employee) the following day with an update. The postal service had not arrived to pick up the package so Paige (another employee) personally drove the package to my friend's home which is just outside Norman. With all the sadness and madness in today's world it meant so much to me to find this unexpected treat of a shop where you are treated like an important friend. If you can support their business I give them my highest rating. Thank you Tulips!!

You can tell the establishment might have been a bank or something and I am a big fan of revitalizing the older downtown buildings, so I was immediately interested in this place. As we walked toward the restaurant, the big pretty windows gave it such a cool look. As we walked inside it was a wide open restaurant that had a bar type seating area as well as tables laid out throughout the restaurant. The restaurant joined up to a neat little shop that sold antiques and boutique type stuff. They had a small menu with about 10 items. I had the steak sandwich, mom had the chicken salad, the wife had a deli sandwich, and my kids had the bacon cheeseburger. The onion rings were wonderful! The food was fantastic and I will definitely be back! As I exited, I noticed they had a cool little bakery display, they had cheesecakes, cookies and other desserts that looked delicious. We settled on a dozen cookies and man were they good. Meeker definitely hit a home run with this place. Try it out!

I love that this is never the same store twice, because Mike is out searching for pieces almost as many hours per week as the store is open. Specializing in mid-century furniture and kitchenware, you'll also find lots of cool ashtrays, paintings, lamps, and home decor items. He also finds a lot of classic stereo cabinet, which can still be used. We ended up purchasing two side tables. They were in great shape, and have a lot more character than anything we would have found down on furniture row. We also got a cool old pull-down, schoolhouse-style map of South America. Since Mr K lived in Paraguay and I lived in Brasil, I think that's a cool addition to the study. I'm a fan. I'm sure this is the first of many things I'll be purchasing from Mike over the years. He posts photos to their facebook page as he makes new finds, and he will also offer to stay on the lookout for something he knows you're looking for. I can't wait to see what he finds next! Note: If you're there during business hours and the shop is not open for some reason, please call the number on the sign. He may be at an estate sale or at a private in-home appointment, but if you're there and he's not, just give him a call and he'll be back. He really does work hard to be there during regular hours. If he's not, it's a fluke.
