While I was looking at and deciding between the butter I noticed they had about 10 varieties of Amish cheese so I picked up some Aged (2 yrs) Cheddar. Well then I looked to the right of the refrigerated case and saw they had local honey. I'm almost out of honey so I ended up getting some of that too. Wouldn't you know it, then the lady working there showed me "the best" jam..."F-R-O-G" jam. Which is Fig, Raspberry, Orange, and Ginger. I love jams so I got some of that too. I thought I was done at the check-out but then I looked in the fridge right there and saw a dozen free range eggs for $3, I opened them up and they looked awesome so I got those too. I'm a sucker for local food marts. You will be too!

Well we get back in and head out and magically I see the sign flipped back to open. Really disheartening as a U.S. Army retired veteran to experience this type of behavior. But I'd rather you turn me a way than something else so for that I'll thank you. We came on a recent Saturday and the main street was pretty much chockers with cars, although we managed a spot right next to the market. There are probably two dozen vendors but only one produce stand, which is primarily why the experience wasn't a knockout for me. Most of the market was novelty snacks and baked goods, and I did appreciate the samples! Some of my favourite samples were the shrimp ceviche and unidentifiable crumbly biscuit. We ended up grabbing a bag of mixed nuts and cranberries and a whole lot of veggies. The location of this market, enveloped by the beach front, food trucks, sidewalks, and a super cute Seaside houses, pretty much makes it a destination. I'd be glad to go back.
