I found The Fancy Chicken Farm by accident last weekend when I saw a sign on Lyons road that said…read morethere was a chicken farm there. So, feeling adventurous, I decided to check it out. I ended up meeting the owner, chatting, checking out the roosters, and buying some eggs. The eggs come straight from the chickens on the farm and are sold the same day they are laid. I thought that was pretty neat. A lot of places boast that they are organic, but this is the real deal and as local as it gets. I paid $6 for a half dozen eggs. It's a bit pricey compared to the grocery store, but if you want local, fresh, and organic sometimes you have to pay more. I'm glad I found this gem in my neighborhood. It's a nice place to take kids, too as they have animals to look at and learn about. The Fancy Chicken Farm is a great little gem in Boynton Beach!!!
