Breakfast was absolutely wonderful!
Emily N.

Located just a two minute walk from Glasgow's square, this little B&B is a wonderful place for anyone looking for a cozy and relaxing spot to stay the night. Upon my husband and I's arrival, we walked in the kitchen to find the owner, Cheryl, and her sweet pup LuLu making us homemade cookies (which were delicious). The B&B was charming and clean. We both slept great! In the mornings, I enjoyed reading in the rocking chairs on the porch with a cup of coffee. Breakfast was served at 8:30, and it was delicious! The first morning we were served eggs, bacon, pancakes and fruit salad. On Sunday, we had homemade sausage gravy with biscuits, eggs, potatoes, tomatoes and fruit. All in all, whether you're just passing through or staying to visit Mammoth Cave (which is only a 20 minute drive away), you simply can't beat this B&B. Do yourself a favor, and book it. You won't be disappointed.

Darling Bed and Breakfast in the heart of town. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Cherie is beyond the perfect host, such a lovely friendly and helpful person. We had a beautiful room, furnished with a comfortable bed, and beautiful antiques. She served a beautiful breakfast and was very accommodating with our food allergies. One of the other guests said they had been there 3 other times, that's a good sign. We definitely felt very welcomed and at home.

Table set for breakfast for 2 : )

Found this place through Priceline and we ended up spending the night in this lovely town, to go to Mammoth Caves the next day. Karen and Gary were very nice and friendly. Room was quaint. Breakfast was good (Gary). I doubt we will be around here anytime soon, but if we did we would definitely stay here again.

They are very hands on, serving breakfast and covering the reception desk. The other staff are also very friendly and helpful. The inn is filled with a lot of memorabilia and old books. It if fun to look at it all. The nice thing is it is well kept, not dusty or moldy smelling. Lots of old pictures and photos. All the rooms have their own bathroom. Ours was compact but had all the necessaries. The room was comfortable. Like the rest of the inn it had old books and other antiques. The bed had a hand stitched quilt. It was comfortable. The light from the street lamps outside was bright so the room was not dark. I do not know what the rooms on the back were like. The television though small got over 100 channels. The train passed by 2 - 3 times a night so I was glad I had earplugs to help. Breakfast was not included and was $10 per person. It was served family style. Scrambled eggs, waffles and bacon served with juice and coffee. They are located off the Mammoth Cave Railroad trail and within 7 miles of the park. If you are looking for somewhere to stay near Mammoth Caves the Grand Victoria is a great option.

We especially enjoyed good, hot coffee in the mornings. The environment, though, was not as shown in the photos. The house is extremely cluttered and somewhat strange, with collections of items displayed virtually everywhere. The furnishings are a bit shabby, but generally clean. Breakfast was sub-par. Fruit was good, but pancakes and pre-fab waffles, unappetizing sausage, and some kind of baked oats mush was just not appealing. The owners are very nice and accommodating, but we would not choose to stay here again. It is the closest to the cave, though, so worth considering for that.

When we pulled up, the owner was on the porch welcoming us into their home. The dinner was finishing on the stove, and the house smelled wonderful. The owners were very welcoming; I felt more like a family member who needed somewhere to sleep while in town than a guest. We chose the most significant room with the best bathroom ever. The owners had a mini-fridge in the place with complimentary drinks. They had wine for purchase, but we had brought our own. I like how the owners didn't mind us bringing our own. They have a beautiful fire pit in the back of the house. The owners offered to light one for us, but we were just too tired to enjoy it. We did, however, appreciate the bed; it was the most beautiful bed I have ever slept in. The linens were like what a penthouse suite would have. It was incredible after a long drive. We had forgotten everything at home, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. I had no razor, and I was not looking forward to sleeping without brushing and shaving. However, to my great surprise, ALL THOSE THINGS WERE THERE! I was so shocked and relieved. The next morning we got a knock on the door for breakfast. The most fantastic meal was on the table from the freshly cut strawberries to the homemade omelet. I felt again like a family member coming to visit. We walked around the property, and it was beautiful! Every one of the birdhouses had baby birds in them. The porch sits among a picturesque front garden. The little details all around show a lot of love is invested there. We had to leave that morning, and I felt like again, my family was sad. I had to go and want us to come back. The owner stood in the window as we drove off. I will be back to bed and breakfast. My boyfriend and I after being introduced to B&Bs with such a positive experience have decided to not stay in chains ever again. I know why this is a 5 star place and will stay that

We stayed here in another cabin, 10 years ago and let me say since then it's went down hill! It's overgrown and you can tell they don't take care of it anymore. The pics look great, but don't be deceived! It doesn't show you how dirty and smelly the cabin is. Upon entering, the overwhelming smell of moth balls is the first thing you will notice. We went in and noticed how the couch looked like it came from the dump. Very worn out and torn up. There are 2 window air conditioners in the living room, because 1 is in unworking condition. This says to me, that they are to lazy to take the old one out. They say they have 2 fireplaces, and they do. What they don't tell you, is that they aren't vented through a chimney. The ceiling in the living room is black from soot! Yes, they are converted to gas, but they still need vented. The kitchen and bathroom were filthy! We had to clean toothpaste out of the bathroom sink, hair from toilet, hair from shelves, the shower was gross. We had to clean the kitchen sink, table, and stove. We used all the cleaner they had! That was just surface cleaning, you should have seen the inside of the fridge! Yikes!! The deck is beautiful, but you can't enjoy it because of all the cob webs and spiders. The outside chairs were black with dirt and unusable. Who wants to sit on dirty chairs. For a discounted rate of $125 a night I expect it to be clean! I called the owner and told him the condition and he said someone must have used it after they cleaned it at 2 pm. Yeah right!! That was nasty that you can tell had been there for awhile! That's when I also found out that the Bed and Breakfast was not even in operation. He did offer me my money back, but I told him we would try and stay. I mean we did just clean it. I told him he was out of cleaning supplies too. He said he would restock. We went to try and go to bed, but I just could stay there! We left 15 min after we got into bed and stayed at a hotel. We called the owner in the morning and told him we had left that night and mind you left it cleaner than it was! He had the nerve to say that since we had "slept" in the bed then he was only refunding 1 night! Really!!! None of us slept there!!!! We tried, but I can't sleep in filth and moth balls!! Beware!!! Don't stay here!!! It's a dump!!!!
