The process to get into the venue was kind of a mess. There was a pretty rude cop who was checking IDs at the door and wouldn't let my girlfriend in because she forget her ID (we're both in our thirties). I would understand if we were at the bar, but it's an arcade. Luckily one of the girls who actually worked there came over and let us in because I had my ID and as long as I'm over 25 I'm allowed to accompany someone. I had a coupon to get $40 worth of tokens for $20, but for some reason no one in the arcade was trained on how to use coupons. One guy who worked there gave us the ran around but luckily the same girl from earlier was able to chase down a manager who knew the process. Once we were situated, everything was pretty smooth. We had a lot of fun playing the games and most of everything we tried worked. Only one machine stole our money but the associate in the prize room was able to quickly refund us for it. Be wary they don't provide mask for laser tag and oh boy do little kids love giving you improvised eye surgery. Otherwise it's just a standard fair arcade//bowling establishment newer games as it's a newer space. Laser tag arena was pretty boring compared to spare time. read more

Visited here for my son's 13th birthday with a few of his friends. We purchased the Black Friday pass prior to 12PM for $14.99. Unlimited Laser Tag , Bowling, and a $10 Game Card. Pizza was great!! Drinks = Yum!! They didn't have enough workers to staff the Pizza place so the wait for food at the bar was LONG! We sat in the restaurant/ bar area so my husband could do work however, we weren't served bc the hostess didn't seat us. It was a struggle because of the "rules." If they seat you they can serve you. If you seat yourself - go to the bar for food / drinks. The building looks huge from the outside however, it's pretty regular on the inside. Nothing too Fancy! Family friendly vibe. Theres a restaurant inside and many activities such as laser tag, gel blasters,bowling and arcade. Fun place to go to for a group outing. You get a game card with a set amount of credits you add to the card by using the kiosk by purchasing with your credit card. The game card is reusable. I played the laser tag (small standard laser tag room ) it was fun. The restaurant has plenty of seatings available to reserve for party or group events. There is also a private room available to rent out. This location seems to be a smaller venue then the other locations. I didnt see escape rooms,mini golf or gravity ropes for kids. The food is like any other gaming venues offering burgers, sandwich,salads, chicken tenders etc. My friends and I ordered a flight of cocktail drinks and it was a joy. read more

Main Event just opened up today, they were packed but they were very well staffed! We had a great experience and it's a huge place! Lot's of room and everything is very well spaced out. The arcade area had a lot of games and price wise it's pretty on par with the rest of the arcade places, you pay for a game card and get credits loaded onto the card and each arcade machine has a place for you to swipe the card. With the points you get on the games you can get different prizes. There's a lot more to do though! There's bowling, laser tag, gel blaster (paintball but with gel pellets), billiards, a bar and a restaurant as well, and a pizza section as well. there is truly something for everyone here! read more

Very cool place to play. Great variety of games and things to do. We did the Fun Card + food option. So we played first and then got some lunch. My son got the boneless wings and fries and I got the chopped Caesar salad. My son's meal was good, ample amount, mine on the other hand was the smallest entree salad I've ever had. As you can see even the lettuce was kinda wilted too. Other than that we had a good time just won't be ordering the salad again. read more

Went to main event looking for something fun to do. There was an area with an arcade and an area for food. The bartender, Jamill, was wonderful. She was working alone at the bar, accommodating everyones needs, cleaning, and being a waiter. She was truly the best and I would definitely come here again. read more

I contacted Main Event to plan a birthday party for my son. I spoke with Jamauree and he helped me choose from the many packages they had. I went with Teen All Access party package. I was able to send out e-vites and make changes before the party. When we arrived, we were escorted to our bowling lanes by our host. He took care of until we left the lanes to do video games and laser tag. My son and his friends had a blast! The food was really good. My son's basketball team had their celebration there. It was nice going during the week when it wasn't that busy. They had a lot of freedom to get on any game. Laser tag was fun. Wow, main event is truly an awesome and amazing experience. We snuck out of the house and ended up here the other day and oh my goodness what a pleasant surprise a new feeling in the area will definitely have to bring Eli back. I had a margarita flight and some wings they had a pizza and another drink. The food was OK. The drinks were delicious. The service was great. It was very much crowded so we did experience some wait time, but the ambience was definitely unmatched. We definitely do have a few of these entertainment centers in the triad, but this was definitely like a breath of fresh air. read more

Absolute worst place to go because of the customer service. We did place an order for food about 45 minutes into our game, but it wasn't brought out until our two hours of bowling were over. We had to eat behind the bowling lanes because there were no clean tables available, and only one table in the area had been cleaned. The hostess explained that she was the only person working and was trying to take care of at least 20 bowling lanes by herself. She truly did her best under the circumstances, and this clearly wasn't her fault. She apologized, had our meal taken off the bill, and we left her a generous tip because she was doing everything she could. The real issue seems to be management and the lack of staffing. I would have much rather paid full price for our meal and received decent service than been given free food because the experience was handled so poorly. To make matters worse, many of the arcade games were out of order, and I'm attaching photos showing several of the broken machines. Unfortunately, this visit left a very negative impression, and I don't plan on returning. 2 stars only because of the wonderful lady taking care of us that had no support. read more

Customer Service, Arcade and Bowling Review: The customer service is atrocious! it's extremely difficult to get anybody to assist and the bathrooms are not taken care of. My daughter used the women's bathroom when we first arrived and multiple stalls were out of toilet paper and there was period blood all over one of the seats plus stuff all over the floor. I went to use the bathroom an hour and a half later and the condition was exactly the same!! The bowling isn't real bowling, the pins are on strings. Also, they say you can order drinks or food but we bowled for an hour and asked multiple times for someone to come by and no one ever showed up so no water, pepsi, nothing! The arcade had at least 6 games that were broke and you couldn't play, another one was missing some of the game pieces and even the DippinDots machine was broken. This place is under a year old and so much is already out of use. We tried to get help from someone so many times throughout the time we were there and even waited 20 minutes to talk to the manager and no one came by!! This was a complete waste of $250. We were so excited about this place opening and what an epic disappointment!! read more

We came here to bowl, and my little sister wanted some fries. Nobody came to our lane, so we went to the front desk asking about food. "We will send someone your way!" , yet 30 minutes later, nobody came. We went straight to the bar, and the bartender immediately sent us away with an irritated "We'll send someone your way." We went to the counter to ask about lanes, they said, oh yea, they're ready. Started bowling, wanted food and saw no server. Asked the counter for a server, she said three times she'd send one. Never showed. Showed up 3/4 through the game. We told her we were no longer interested. She told the manager, who instead of coming to talk to us, sent free game cards. I really wanted to like this new Main Event -- the space itself is awesome and has a ton of potential -- but the service was a total mess. I went with a coupon we got from the Folk Festival for one hour of free bowling, and it felt like chaos from start to finish. I spoke with four different staff members who all kept passing me off to someone else. It took forever to get things straightened out, and I was honestly ready to crash by the end of it. I also ordered three orders of wings for the boys -- only two ever showed up, and those came out about 30 minutes apart. Despite what looked like 100 employees walking around, the service was just bad. The bowling area felt disorganized and overheated -- people everywhere, long waits, and staff who clearly didn't have their system down yet. I imagine the billiards area might've been better since that space looked a lot more relaxed. On a positive note, the fried pickles were a solid 10/10. For $11 and some change the boss margarita was good, just took about 15 minutes to get. But overall, this place needs to get their act together before it's worth going back. read more

As a server i am very understanding when it comes to anything in a restaurant. However the restaurant they have in Main Event, is terrible. We waited for our food for an entire hour, appetizers were brought out with the food, drinks never refilled, took 30 minutes to get our check because our server was no where to be found, even by other staff. All servers/ workers were standing around talking. There was maybe 3 other tables, this wasn't a busy day. I do not see how this place is still running. Apon entry, we needed a staff member for our game card issue, nobody came. Nobody in this whole building seems to know what is going on. Definitely not how you run a restaurant. My advice on how to better this place, would be to fire everyone and try again. TERRIBLE read more

All-You-Can-Play... a Game of Confusion: Our Christmas Day at Main Event We spent Christmas Day at Main Event Greensboro as a family with kids ages 3, 8, 10, and 12, drawn in by their advertised holiday special: $14.99 All-You-Can-Play plus a free $10 Fun Card. It sounded like a slam dunk--bowling, laser tag, arcade games, food, and festive fun after presents. What we actually got was more like an escape room... except the puzzle was figuring out how anything worked. The "All-You-Can-Play" That Wasn't First surprise: arcade games are not included in "All-You-Can-Play" at this location. Instead, it only covered billiards, shuffleboard, bowling, and laser tag. This key detail was buried so deeply that even Indiana Jones wouldn't have found it. The free $10 Fun Card? Arcade-only. Clear? Not even a little. The Monitor of Mystery We signed up for bowling and saw our name on a big monitor. Naturally, we assumed this meant we were "in line." So we waited. And waited. And let the kids burn through their Fun Cards while waiting. And reloaded cards. Later we discovered: we could have bowled at any time. The monitor was not a waitlist--it was more of a decorative suggestion. This was not obvious to us or, apparently, to anyone else. The 3-Year-Old Exclusion Clause Our 3-year-old could only participate in bowling. No laser tag, no shuffleboard, no billiards (shocking, I know). So for the youngest guest, "All-You-Can-Play" really meant "All-You-Can-Watch." Broken Games + Skeleton Crew Many arcade games weren't working, and staffing was extremely limited. We understand it was Christmas Day, but if you advertise being open with specials, it's reasonable to expect more than a skeleton crew holding the fort. ID Required for the Clearly Middle-Aged All adults in our group are well over 40. Still, no ID = no drink, even for people who look closer to retirement than prom. Some non-driving adults didn't have IDs on them, so festive drinks were a no-go. The Gift Card Trap This one deserves special recognition. We brought $100 in pre-purchased e-gift cards for food, drinks, and games. Per staff instruction, we converted them to physical cards at the front desk. Only after doing so were we told: Once converted, they can only be used for games. They cannot be used for food or drinks. They cannot be converted back. This was a surprise we absolutely did not ask for. The Cost of "Salvaging Christmas" Trying to keep spirits high (because... Christmas), we powered through the confusion, bought food, reloaded cards, and made the best of it. Total cost by the end of the day: about $700, far beyond what we expected when we walked in. Final Verdict At bedtime, we reviewed the day with the kids. Verdict: Christmas was great Family time was great Main Event was not They all agreed they'd happily repeat the day next year--minus Main Event. This place could be fantastic, but the unclear advertising, confusing systems, inconsistent staff knowledge, and hidden limitations made the experience feel deceptively planned and poorly managed. If you go, read every word of the fine print, ask lots of questions, and assume nothing--even if your name is on a screen. Recommendation: Fun concept, rough execution. Proceed with caution--and maybe a spreadsheet. read more

We went on a Tuesday night anticipating it to be busy as it was Christmas break. It wasn't. When we walked in it was unclear where to start for bowling/ arcade game cards. No one around to inform us everything was done via kiosk. Bowling makes you pay regardless of wait time so if you commit, you're stuck waiting. Drinks were expensive but to be expected. Food took beyond what it should. 45-60min. Staff while nice enough, had very little urgency to come get your order, take your order, or deliver food. This would be my primary complaint. Working in service industry 10+years, you should be hustling and boosting sales. And when food takes this long, acknowledge that. Don't roll eyes when asked to add an order. It's just common sense. The food was actually pretty good despite taking so long. It will be a good while before I'd consider taking my family back there again, which is unfortunate, because we were really excited to have a nice bowling alley besides spare time. Additionally: my credit card notification said my purchase was 56% tip which was not accurate. It was the amount I was charged for my bill so I'm not disputing it, but appears it was altered to either benefit the bartender or business. read more

I was there playing a game, and I overheard someone who I believe is the manager.. Evan, Emmett, Everett... something like that (couldn't read his name well), called a group of his black employees a monkey & a roach. I recently visited Main Event Greensboro and had such a great time! The atmosphere is lively and fun, perfect for hanging out with friends or family. There's so much to do--bowling, arcade games, and more--so you never get bored. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The food was also surprisingly good for an entertainment venue. It's definitely one of the best spots in Greensboro for a fun night out, and I'll absolutely be going back. read more

I took my 8 year old on a busy Friday night and forgot to wait for the barcode to print after making a $45 special game ticket purchase. An employee named Shirleya was amazing. She helped us get my a wrist band so he could play laser tag immediately and connected us with a super patient manager Terrence Lee who found my original transaction so that my son could get his free entree. Chaos in every way. Many of the games don't work, but you don't find out until after you swipe your card. Despite ordering food in advance, some items ended up not being available at all and what was served, came out an hour after we were told it would. Food was average at best. She was very rude and talked to us twice out of the hour we were there and that was to take our order and use asking for to go boxes. This location recently opened and has potential to be great. The different activities provided and the deals on certain days of the week are a win in my eyes. However the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. From the bathrooms to the game floor to unclean tables in the restaurant this location needs improvement. I enjoyed the game of laser tag and had a great drink from the bar. I'd be willing to try again but if it looks the same as it did yesterday. I'd unfortunately leave and go elsewhere. read more
