In addition to a helmet and bike lock, they provided the charger because I rented the bike for two full days. I charged it once, but I probably didn't even need to do that. One thing to note about the Avocado E-bike: there is no adjustment for the amount of power assist that it provides when you pedal. If it's on, then it starts providing power as soon as you pedal. And you always have to pedal, so it doesn't just ride on power like a moped.
