The initial registration is a bit of a pain in the neck because you have to dictate your information to the guy at the desk. But he was super friendly, even though I was acting agitated. Once we got on the trail, my bike broke. But I called and they said they'd bring me replacement straight out. I was all the way at Race point and it took them less than 15 minutes. Thank you, Bill! I have been going here for years. Even when I'm staying further east, I still go here because I'm already in the system AND their bikes have bells. Plus their service is better than other places. My only suggestion would be to their web developers: Have a user's preferred bike saved in the system. That way when users log in, they can save time. read more

100% recommend renting bikes while in Ptown and renting from Ptown Bikes! We did a day rental which was $22 each! The bikes come with a lock so that you can cruise around all day and make stops as you please. The owner was super helpful in mapping out our route for us for where we hoped to bike! The bikes he has are really nice and had multiple gears which was essential for traversing the hilly bike path! We are so glad we decided to take a bike out on one of our days in Ptown! We just moved here and this place is a gem in P-Town. Service was phenomenal. Bill and his team helped me find a bike that works for me. As a person with mild CP I have a few physical challenges and after discussing them and trying a few bikes I found one that was really great and they adjusted every part of it to fit me and overcome some physical challenges. Excellent customer service! Bill is very kind and flexible with his rental bikes. 1) We mistakenly booked reservations at a different bike shop and Bill was able to transfer the reservations during peak 4th of July season. Plus, he upgraded our bikes with baskets. 2) At some point I lost my bike key and Bill replaced it. Easy breezy. 3) It rained during our stay and it jammed the replacement key in the lock. Once again, Bill saved the day by driving out to our location to replace the lock. 4) Quick and easy check in and check out, plus an after hours bike return. They remember you, they patiently explain all the gear shifts to people who don't ride bikes a lot, they even adjust your helmet for you. They're not content to rest on their laurels, they've improved their fleet of bikes, and as I was biking the trails, I was aware of bike technology: I rarely had to shift gears, the bike simply worked around me. This place is a great find on the Outer Cape! I had a problem with my bike cleats and Bill, Boris and Tom went out of their way to find the right replacement cleats, install them on the spot, and ultimately make sure they connected well to my bike. I rented a bike there for a few hours. The people in the store were really helpful and nice. They were able to give me recommendations for trails and places to bike, and supplied maps. The location is great, the prices are really reasonable and they have really good quality bicycles of all kinds. They can get booked out during the busy season, so make sure to get there early or call ahead. They even supplied a bike lock, helmet and backpack all free of charge. There is parking there so you can leave your car and have an amazing time! read more

This is a great shop to rent from if you're in P-Town and get a hankering for a ride, but didn't bring your bike. They have a great selection of everything from cruisers to serious mountain and street bikes, all available to rent at really reasonable prices. (something like $14 for 6 hours!) A Kryptonite lock and a helmet are included in your rental. The staff is super nice, and even try to make you feel better when your head is so small you have to have a children's helmet with flames on it. (i'm a pinhead!) I definitely recommend this place for all of your outer cape bike rental needs. read more

They loaned me a bike gratis-they young man assisting was thorough and reviewed safety. They called me when the bike was ready. Didn't charge me labor as they were able to do a simple fix. Even when my partner's chain came off after they had closed, a couple of guys came out and offered to help fix it.
