I tried for then to get my lost item from the Vienna lost property office, because they were suggested from the airport page. I contacted them several times, explaining my needs, the replies I got are not complete or helpful. At first they replied within a couple of hours, the last email was sent 2 days ago, no reply. While in Vienna, we purchased a large work of art without realizing that it came already framed. So, we had to consider how we were going to get it back home to us in the United States. The only two options are to ship it back or take it on our international flight. We decided to try to pack it really well and then take it back with us on our flight. I have shipped similar items in the past and they've arrived broken so I thought we'd try a new approach. We went to Mail Boxes Etc. and they told us to bring the artwork to them and they'll pack it up for us even though I was prepared to pack it ourselves to make sure we were doing it right. The staff was super friendly and we decided to trust them. I am so happy we did! Our piece came home in mint condition even though the airline kind of roughed up our box. When we opened it up we couldn't believe the care that went into packing it. It was truly a professional service. The cost to package our piece was approximately 75 Euros and the airline shipped it for free. I would definitely use their services again. read more
