The Worst Cleaning Service I Have Ever Hired…read more I was terribly disappointed with the cleaning service from this company. I paid $378 for a small one-bedroom apartment, so my expectations were high. I decided to hire them based on my building manager's recommendation. Two days later, when I went to check the apartment, I was shocked by what I found. I'm including pictures for everyone to judge for themselves. Some may think my concerns are exaggerated, but this was just unacceptable for the price I paid. I expected the apartment to be much cleaner. Do yourself a favor and think twice before hiring this company. I definitely won't be using them again!

This company is a scam preying on people who don't know any better about housekeeping services and…read morecosts. I've been using cleaners regularly (every 2 weeks or monthly) for over 5 years now and have had a few different ones over that time. My previous cleaner just retired so I was looking for a new one, and I reached out to get a quote from Cleaning4U. I have a ~500 sq ft apartment, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom. It's a small apartment that my previous cleaners (who worked alone) did full housekeeping and cleaning themselves in 2 - 3 hours, and would cost generally $100 or less (maybe a bit over if there was some more to do that day). So tell me why Cleaning4U came back to me with a quote of 3 Cleaners for 1.5h, $40/h each, for $180 + 5% GST + 2.99% if you're paying by card (so would be basically $200 total). AND THAT'S ONLY FOR SURFACE CLEANING. It's $30 extra for cleaning inside appliances. The list of services provided didn't even go into organizing the fridge, closets, or anything along those lines. JUST surface cleaning. I took one look and laughed out loud at the sheer audacity of how ridiculous that quote was. It really feels like they're trying to scam people who don't know any better. Literally right after responding back telling them no way jose I got a call from another company who wanted to give me a quote. The other company quoted me 2 cleaners, 1 hour, total of less than $100, and their list of services included fridge cleaning, closet organization, and a bunch of other stuff. Needless to say, I went with them instead.

I couldn't believe how impeccable the house looked after being serviced. It seemed that the Merry Maid team scrubbed every corner and wiped every wall. As my friend is very particular, the manager even came to the house and double checked the service. I highly recommend Merry Maids as they really treat your home as if it was theirs. If you are looking for exceptional service, a glistening place to come home to, or just require a little pampering for your beautiful home...Merry Maids Vancouver is the family to call.

After about a year of service I finally had to let these cleaners go. The only reason I tried them…read morewas due to Essa, a fabulous cleaner I'd used before who took on an administrative role at Merry Maids. Unfortunately we had to endure constant changes in their staff which meant the cleans were inconsistent -- and some of their staff were atrocious. One cleaner, Takako, is absolutely fabulous! But alas, I'm uncomfortable with all the different people coming and going. Whenever they were short staffed I would be visited by 1 person for the same amount of time as 2 people and billed the same as well. There was never notice or an apology. Another bothersome aspect is the fluctuating times they'd show up. It was established that we'd receive a clean every two weeks and they would arrive anywhere from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. I took their first slot so that they could arrive first thing, same time, every two weeks. I suspect their staffing retention had a lot to do with this. Bottom line... they weren't for us.

Zenith Zone Cleaning was definitely zoned in on the task!…read more Having used professional cleaning services for nearly 35 years, across three major metropolitan areas, I have a lot of experience to compare them to--and Zenith Zone Cleaning was exceptional. I hired them for a deep clean of my home and was impressed from start to finish. Their attention to detail was outstanding, the cleaners were professional and clearly took pride in their work, and the staff were exceptionally well managed. The quality of the cleaning was excellent. Their pricing was very reasonable and, more importantly, the value was exceptional. For what I paid and the quality of service I received, I felt I got tremendous value for my money. What really put the experience over the top was the owner arriving at the end of the service with a beautiful bouquet of flowers to thank me for my business. What an unexpected and thoughtful gesture! In this day and age, when we all have to work harder for our money, it's wonderful to find a service provider that recognizes the value of a customer's business--and goes the extra mile to earn it. Zenith Zone Cleaning is based in Maple Ridge and services the Greater Vancouver Area. If you're looking for a professional, reliable and thorough home cleaning service with exceptional attention to detail and great value, I highly recommend them.
