Edit: I'd like to…read moremake it very clear LaTanya has never visited my home. She appears to be confusing me with another client. My dog is a miniature dachshund and has never attacked anyone and we just moved to this area last year as I mentioned to her when I spoke to her in April. I also don't have children. Her response to my review is invalid. Top Notch Cleaning was recommended to me on NextDoor and based on Yelp reviews I was excited to use the company. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. I scheduled a consultation through the site that didn't happen and that was understandable as website calendar issues happen and the owner was out of town for a funeral. This was in April and LaTanya gave me prices based on my sq footage that I thought were very reasonable. She informed me a week or so later after I reached out that she had an injury so she would not be available until sometime after May and that was fine with me as she would reach out. We exchanged pleasantries and I let her know healing was the only thing to worry about and I looked forward to working with her when she was better. I reached out in June again and she said she was working but I forgot to ask about her schedule as I was transitioning to a new job. Today I reached out to ask about her September schedule and she told me she didn't feel comfortable coming to my home and to please find someone else and we are now in August. I don't know what has changed and what is going on. I am a little frustrated because it was not communicated to me prior that she was uncomfortable. If it is because I live in Middle River, that is understandable, but when we spoke on the phone, that wasn't brought up to be an issue. If it is because I have a small dog, that is understandable as well, but it can be arranged for him not to be home and that was never brought up either. We both work from home, so him being crated if that's what is needed or him not being home can be arranged. I did ask if I made her uncomfortable or what happened so that I can understand because for me, this is coming out of nowhere since conversations have been pleasant with no issues. I think if you are able to work with LaTanya, you should as she is very reasonable in her prices and seems like a joy to work with. Her work also seems stellar, so I'm disappointed to be missing out in supporting her business.

I was in need of a move in cleaning for a new home. Based on Yelp reviews I was really excited to…read moreuse this company, sadly that never occurred. Initially the communication and correspondence was good. Then it came time to schedule and I found myself sending multiple inquiries regarding scheduling. Finally I received a response stating they were away at a funeral and would follow up at the end of the week. The end of the week came and I again found myself sending multiple inquiries. I then received a response stating they would contact me the following day. That did not happen and I sent an email stating thank you for the service anyway and the following day I received a call. We confirmed the date and narrowed down a time and I left the conversation feeling confident that my home would be in good hands. Unfortunately, around 730 PM the night prior to the scheduled cleaning I received a call regarding getting injured and possibly not being able to do the cleaning. I was then informed they would follow up with me the next day. That was last week Wed 4/14 with the move in scheduled for the following day and to date I have not heard back. While I understand things come up communication is key. Being professional is also important. Something as simple as following up as stated or even to check to see if I was able to find someone else would have gone a long way. My experience with Latonya and her communication was disappointing to say the least.

A friend recommended this company so I was pumped to have them clean our new condo we just…read morepurchased. I called a month in advance to schedule my cleaning. Spoke with Carlos, who seemed unorganized. I explained that we were going to closing on the 14th and I would like a evening cleaning, since he said they take their last appt at 4. He said he would reserve me for the 14th and the 15th just in case our closing went over and we couldn't make it. I thought, great how wonderful and helpful... He cares! He tells me that he will email me the quote and the confirmation. I wait and wait and wait..... Two days later still nothing. So I email and call him.... He says he's been "busy" and will send it soon! Then a couple of more days go by and still nothing. I contact him again and he said he wrote my email wrong and the "quote" was in his outbox. OK?! So why not contact me to fix the issue?! Or at the very least make sure I get my quote?? Then as if this was a sign enough to not use them and schedule with a more reputable company, my friend who referred me send me a screen shot Carlos messaging her, stating he lost my contact information and could she provide it..... Wait this is the CEO of the company and he's this scattered brain?! She ask me if its ok and I tell her yes. I wait all day expecting him to contact me since he stated he needed to contact me about my cleaning. NOPE! So I finally email and say here is my contact info, My friend said you lost my info. He gave me some silly excuse about moving and someone misplacing my information. Sir, you emailed me and I'm almost sure it saved my information in your email (inbox and outbox) Becoming skeptical of the company I ask if everything was still on and OK for the 14th. I get a response from Carlos that he would not be able to clean my condo on the confirmed day because he booked someone else for that day and that he could move me to the 15th and 16th instead. WHAT?!?! I was never told this or sent any kind of information asking if I would be OK with having my date changed. How would I have ever known?! This is unacceptable .... So I explain and send him the original email where he stated the dates and confirmed that he would be cleaning my condo on the 14 or 15th, no answer back. I wait a day and email again and he finally responds with he can fit me in on the 15th at 8 a.m. I agree and think all is well. Think again! I write him the night before the cleaning to confirm the time they will be arriving tomorrow.... And I get 10:30-11:30 time frame. Wait, wait wait..... This is the final strike. I explain that I was told they would be there early in the morning and now once again am being pushed back. He responds with that he's cleaning another house (my friends) which is bigger and obviously more money so we got pushed out of the way..... I have everything planned and timed for my move-in and he has completely ruined everything. I also have an appt at 10am and will not be available to let this company in. Not only have I been treated like the red headed step child more than once (completely my bad for over looking all of the signs of a bad business) he doesn't try to fix the situation by telling the other people that he needs to push them back an hour or so. This company obviously needs to work on scheduling, customer service and organizing. This is not how you do "business" and I would def say customers beware. If they are this scattered and money hungry, it's speaks volumes about their over all business. I spoke with my friend wed because she just sold her house and was trying to schedule to have them clean before they hand over the keys and she said that Carlos has been difficult and hard to get in contact with and scheduled. He's terribly unorganized and it was difficult for her to get her house scheduled and cleaned by them again. That he is not good with follow through and doesn't respond via phone. They came to clean my 1500 sq foot home that was completely empty. They show up a@ 9:20am. They were here till 11:05 and Carlos showed up.... You could tell he was rushing them and I honestly can't say what they did bc my house is still dirty. It took them an 1-1/2 to clean a empty place?! They leave and we come in and see the TERRIBLE job. My room closet (both) were not vacuumed, they left several cob webs in the apt after we asked for them to be cleaned, the stove side wasn't wiped down and still had grease, there are dust bunnies every where, and make the house smell like cleaner to trick you. They also used all of my paper towels, soap, step stools and supples. I pay for you to bring your stuff and not use mine. I inform Carlos of issues, he comes back and re"cleans" but doesn't bring vacuum even though I showed him pics. As I was cooking last night a few dust bunnies flew off top of fridge! GROSS! I was basically robbed

They had a relative / friend post a star review. Isn't this odd. Their friend location is in South Carolina. The company responded I had a 4 bedroom house, yet they only "cleaned" (loosely saying the word "cleaned") 2. They arrived a 1:30pm and 3:00pm on the dot. As they were walking out I said did you clean this vinyl floor, the owner said yes. I replied there is no way, this looks the same. He told the lady to go get the swifter, she came in and was doing a half job for less then 5 minutes. I told them that is ok. Furthermore, I should have known they were going to be shady. Before purchasing the Groupon deal I called them and ask when I purchase the deal how soon can you come. The owner said if you purchase through us directly then we can come tomorrow, if you go through groupon it would be a few weeks to a month. I should have went with Groupon at least I would have had some accountable. Actually, I will call Groupon to inform them how this company is undercutting them and being shady.

They got off first and we both proceeded to the door. Because they had eqpt and also because I have manners and respect for all people not matter what, I held the door open for them to let them go first. They said nothing to me and I was even smiling and telling them that I have the door. Then to the parking lot. They were parked directly in front of me. They saw me get in my car and the spaces were tight. I could not pull out as they had opened their trunk and proceeded to put in every piece of equipment while I waited. They got it all in even the broom that would hardly fit, out themselves in their car with no acknowledgement that I was trying to get out. Maybe they were tired but surely manners and respect go both ways. I would never use this company for that reason.
