The next thing she told was she had to cancel and I said that is fine. They then called me saying I cancelled within 48 hours. They will charge me 75 dollars. It is a scam. Booked a deep clean, the house honestly wasn't that dirty to begin with but wanted everything cleaned when my wife returned from a trip. 5 bedrooom, 4 bathroom, plus deep clean option was 485, not cheap. The cleaner was here 3.5 hours and did a hit and a miss. Whatever cleaner was used etched the paint on the two wood toilet seats, had to replace them after they left. The two plastic seats weren't damaged. The two wood seats were only a couple years old, and previously only wiped with a damp cloth. The etched paint was still wet, so I'm 100% certain it was whatever cleaner they used, probably the toilet bowl cleaner. Sink still had food residue in it Downstairs tub not cleaned at all, had sand in it Only 2 of the 3 counters in the kitchen wiped Neither table wiped, still had crumbs on them No garbage collected/taken out No nightstands, dressers, or any other flat surfaces dusted. Paid for window cleaning, web site says ladder with 2 steps ok. No ladder used, top 1/4 of 1st floor windows not cleaned. Laundry room floor not swept or mopped Laundry room counters/machines not wiped Hardwood floors vacuumed, including the hardwood in the kitchen, expected a swiffer wet or something more than vacuuming it. Runners not picked up for the vacuuming, still had dirt under them. Deep cleaning includes wiping cabinet fronts, cabinets still have food splatter on them. Deep cleaning says wiping baseboards, they were dusted, not wiped. Deep cleaning includes windows, door handles, and switches, none done. So, $140 an hour for cleaning 4 bathrooms, some vacuuming, partial window cleaning, and a hit and a miss everywhere else. Do NOT Use Made In Jax - Unethical, Dishonest, and Unprofessional I scheduled a recurring monthly cleaning service with Made Better Jax, and the first visit was supposed to be a deep clean--specifically including the baseboards, fridge, and oven. We paid close to $400 for this service and clearly communicated that our home is approximately 2,600 sq. ft., with five bedrooms and three bathrooms. To our surprise, only one cleaner showed up. We were skeptical but gave her the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe she could get the job done in five to six hours. However, she texted me after only 2-3 hours saying she was finished. No one was home at the time, so we returned later to inspect--and what we found was shocking. The house looked virtually untouched. There was no evidence of deep cleaning. Baseboards hadn't been touched. The fridge and oven were clearly not cleaned. There was visible grime in the bathrooms and kitchen. The fifth bedroom and third bathroom upstairs had not been touched at all. At best, it looked like a quick mop and light vacuum--absolutely not what we paid for. I emailed Nate at Made Better Jax immediately to express my disappointment and request a refund. I sent photos as proof that clearly showed dirt, dust, and grime throughout the home. I remained professional and respectful throughout. No response. I followed up again the next morning--still no reply. Out of desperation, I contacted the cleaner directly. She falsely claimed she had completed a final walkthrough with my wife--who wasn't even home that day. Then, she claimed my wife told her not to clean the baseboards or oven, which was also completely untrue. She went on to say she had been told this was a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home. In her text, she forgot to delete a note that read "send this," making it clear someone at the company was feeding her scripted responses to cover up the truth. This level of dishonesty is absolutely unacceptable. I provided written proof of the home size and the services that were agreed upon, and she still continued to lie. Eventually, I did receive a short text from Nate, stating that the service had been completed and no refund would be issued. I asked him to call me--he never did. After finally digging up my emails from his spam folder, he told me they could come back and "spot clean." At that point, I declined--I had completely lost trust in their ability and integrity. When I pushed further, Nate falsely claimed I told him my wife was present during the walkthrough--again, untrue. I caught them in multiple lies, and rather than taking accountability for their failure to deliver the service we paid for, they turned the blame around on us. This was, without a doubt, the worst experience I've ever had with any business--not just a cleaning service. Made Better Jax misrepresented their service, failed to deliver on their promises, repeatedly lied, and refused to take ownership of their mistakes. Please do not use this company. Okay FAST FORWARD TO THE 4TH CLEANING SERVICE!!!! broke my bottle of wine and did not offer to pay for it , also left glass all over my floor and did not clean my bathroom toilet or sweep my floors. When I called the owner he said if I wanted them to sweep AND mop instead of vacuum.....MY HARD WOOD FLOORS mind you that was considered a DEPP CLEANING!!!!!! never have I ever been so disrespected! We hired this company for a "move out clean" because we were moving out of our rental home in Yellow Bluff Jacksonville, FL. I was under the impression that a deep clean move out took care of all the cleaning of the house. So we paid Brittany Screws/ this company $324 for a move out clean. When I went to the house after it was cleaned, I immediately told Brittany via text that the oven was not clean (see attached picture) and the fridge was not clean and that I brought no cleaning supplies with me so I was worried that we would be charged another cleaning fee from the rental company. She said she was sorry and if we we were charged she would take care of it. Fast forward to today we received our charges and we are being charged $245 for a cleaning fee. I let her know this and sent documentation. I told her I am asking only for the $245 to be refunded not the full $324 we paid. She refused and said my house was really dirty and to her it was clean enough minus the oven. I sent her all pictures we were sent and asked why the fridge was not taken out from the wall and cleaned underneath. She said she never has to do that. In the end she said she is only crediting us $75. If you want a move out clean and to not pay two cleaning fees DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. We not have to pay $245 plus the $324 we paid her (minus the $75) I wish we would have never even hired a cleaner and just let the rents take care of it. I feel totally dissatisfied. read more

This happened today so things are very fresh. Customer service with Erica with getting an appt scheduled last minute was 5 stars but it was downhill after that. I will say that I believe they had a subcontractor* come in but since I'm not sure and I scheduled with Maid In Jax, I'm writing a review for them. So I was supposed to have 2 cleaners for a few hours to do 3 very specific things. I wanted my bathrooms DEEP CLEANED, baseboards dusted and wiped down, and my blinds dusted and cleaned thoroughly. That was it. So the first guy showed up on time and did a walk through but couldn't get started since his co-worker was late and had the equipment. When she finally arrived they spent another 15-20 minutes doing another walk through and discussing the best way to clean my house. I proceeded to tell them what I wanted and she told me that they would do everything. (I am in the process of moving and have been cleaning myself but just wanted some help.) I said that was fine as long as they got what I needed done, I mean I'm not going to deny extra help! Well the girl proceeds to take off all of the blinds and dump them in the tub and leave them. They get tangled and don't get cleaned. She washes the windows and then LEAVES! She had only worked for just over an hour! The other guy is left to clean up the mess. He's super nice and works really hard but my 3-4 hour clean with 2 people turned into over 9 with one. Since I didn't know him, I didn't want to leave my house with my stuff so it really messed up my day! He focuses on some stuff that I really didn't want done like my closet doors (which went from being dirty to now having paint chipping off from him spraying it). He then sorts the blinds out but just does a quick wipe with a paper towel. I had to ask him to clean the OTHER side of them since they go both ways. I could've done better. The bathroom vents weren't cleaned which I noticed before he left and he did them after asking but the bathroom hardware wasn't. Honestly I'm still pretty upset about this, but it happened a couple weeks ago. I booked them to do a move out clean at the end of May because they had an online booking system and I needed someone on short notice (a week and a half before the end of the month). The day of, Nate with Maid In Jax texted me over an hour after they were suppose to start saying that they couldn't do the cleaning because the house was too dirty to clean and that it would take them 12-14 hours to clean it and that there were live rats in the bathroom. Having been there the night before making sure everything was moved out for them to clean, I knew this to be false, but he insisted that his workers saw them. He also sent me highly filtered pictures to prove why they couldn't do it. I basically had to rearrange my entire schedule for the day to go over to the house and see what could have possibly changed in 10 hours as well as try to book another cleaning service. When I got there I did a thorough check of the house and there was absolutely no evidence that there were or ever had been rats. I also took pictures to compare to the ones he sent me just to show how filtered the images were. I mean I didn't even recognize my tub in his picture. My guess is that they just over-booked themselves so they made up a reason why they couldn't do the job and then left me in the lurch. Luckily, when I called The Maids of Jacksonville and explained what happened, they fit me into their schedule the same day and completed the cleaning in less than 3 hours. I was very concerned it was "too good to be true" when the quote was half the price of other quotes I had received, and booking was entirely online, but I'm so glad we took a chance on them. Our apartment was embarrassing bordering on unlivable by the time the cleaning appointment arrived. 3 people worked on our one bedroom apartment for almost 3 hours, and they made the place absolutely immaculate. You could eat off any surface by the time they were done. They even cleaned the inside of the fridge, stove, microwave, and washer/dryer. It only cost $190 for the upgraded move out clean!
