Stopped here for lunch this week. I ordered the teriyaki shrimp with rice... It was quite good but not really very spicy. I asked for some extra Asian spice which they brought and it made the dish just perfect for me. My wife ordered the Cajun shrimp and sausage with noodles, which was also very nice. The menu is very extensive and we look forward to trying some of the other menu choices in the future . My wife had a unsweet iced tea and I had a diet Pepsi. We will definitely come back and try this restaurant again. I would've awarded five stars except for two issues. One the vinyl covered seats in the dining booths, are very old, worn, and lumpy. Not very comfortable. Second, there was no luncheon menu. It seems like the only menu is one with full-size dinner dishes. The food was excellent but really too much for either of us to fully consume at lunch. When we come back again, we will be ordering an appetizer and one entrée and splitting both. So disappointed. I thought this was an Asian restaurant because of the name, but I didn't know if the soup was pho or ??? Are the noodles ramen or ??? I took a chance and ordered the House Cajun noodles. (See what I mean about being confused?) I figured if it's a specialty of the house, how can you go wrong? Well, the confusion continued. The sausage was like German sausage. The noodles were Asian. The shrimp tasted like they were seasoned with Old Bay, and there was nothing Cajun about it. Great food, found it on Happy Cow as we are vegan and need to scope out our dinner places ahead of time. Service unfortunately was slow, there was a large room and a medium room being worked by the same staff and we stood for 10-15 minutes before we were even acknowledged so they could find us a table. Once at a table, it was another 10 minutes before someone came over to take our order. There were a ton of takeout orders being prepared so perhaps they were struggling between in restaurant and takeout. The shrimp teriyaki could've had a little bit more flavor but it was still good. We also ordered a side of the crab Rangoons and those were very good! We cannot believe how incredible this place is. We never went in for all the years we lived here because it looks sligjtly run down from the outside but once we looked it up recently saw the 5 stars on fb. We thought we would give it a try. Who knew they had sushi too? The food is better than most any other place we have ever been to and we have travelled extensively and are foodies. The waitress was great and recommended the crab Rangoon (hand made to order) and the steamed dumplings. We got some avocado and California rolls and then shared a spicy beef soup with udon noodles. It comes with dumplings and the richest most flavorful broth and tenderest beef you've ever had in your life guaranteed!! And wasn't even terribly spicy so get it if you are afraid of spice! You won't be sorry. We noticed they have home made deserts as well like cheesecake and tiramisu. We LOVE this place and will be back a lot. A lesson learned in not judging a restaurant by its' cover. I also hear the tofu general tso's is incredible and so much so that it is even better than the chicken ! read more

I visited about a month ago, but forgot to review . Service was friendly and food was good. The restaurant was clean, including the restroom. I recall seeing a few less-than glowing reviews here, before ordering, but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I was in the mood for noodles, so the Mai Noodle House had just what I wanted to satisfy my craving. I'm glad I ignored the unfavorable reviews and stopped in! I enjoyed eating lunch here with my parents on a weekday. We got steamed dumplings for an appetizer, the house spicy beef noodles, hot and sour vegetable noodle soup and the Cajun stir fried noodles. Everything was delicious. The hot and sour vegetable soup was the standout dish for me, but my mom and dad really loved the beef noodle soup. Okay so I just want to say, this dish was one of the most comforting, savory dishes I've ever had. The beef was pretty tender, the meatball part was okay, the broth though was the real star. It tastes like Heaven!! I got it with rice noodles instead by the way. The rice noodles were simple and perfect in this dish. If I wasn't so full I would have finished my entire bowl! Thankfully I'll have leftovers for tomorrow:) Anyways, please stop by this place sometime and get this! Or even something else, they have this really good lotus root salad. The food is really good. If you're looking for a good sushi restaurant on Gettysburg this is it. Even though this use to be a dinner this worth visiting for a good Japanese food. I wish they had a sushi bar, but they are worth the visit. Brooke was our waitress twice. She was very busy, but she was very good. This restaurant is worth the visit. I had the sweet and sour vegetable soup with rice noodle, the king sushi and the spicy tuna. It was woth the money. I wish I had taken pictures of all our dishes. I recognize that to-go order will taste less good compared to dine-in, so the deduction is factored in this consideration. The veggie spring roll did not have any nice fresh veggies flavor, so I can assume it is not fresh but frozen for a long time. Steamed scallops was over-steamed, so it is rubbery and hard to chew. Seafood boil was tasty, and again it would be better if we did dine-in. General tso tofu was way over-battered, and in my opinion the firm tofu would be a better choice than silken tofu. Lastly we had a side of kimchi, because I thought it would be a good palate refresher but the kimchi had no taste (not sour, not salty, or not spicy). I know, wrong place to order kimchi. I cannot believe how bad the food was here. We had the chicken cutlet noodle bowl and the spicy beef with wonton noodle bowl. The fried chicken cutlet was good, but the noodles and broth were bland and had very little flavor. The broth in the spicy beef bowl was pretty good, but the beef was inedible, more gristle than beef. The service and ambience were decent, but I will never return to this restaurant. Relatively new restaurant in Gettysburg, PA. Appears to be a small family business. Welcomed as we entered the door and seated quickly. Staff were following CDC and local health guidelines. Tried the Cajun noodles with shrimp and sausage. Very good taste and presentation. Cajun spices were mild so just a little taste of heat. Steamed pork dumplings were wonderful. I made the mistake of ordering a lobster tail here with garlic butter. It came out in a clear plastic bag with cajun sauce smothering it instead. That should have been my first warning, since generally lobster tail is not served in a trash bag, but I proceeded to open the bag up and I discovered my limp, lukewarm lobster tail paired with a sad little half of corn and two unseasoned, generic potatoes. I didn't even bother eating the corn or potatoes, which were clearly microwaved or something, but however bad they were the lobster tail was worse. It must have been killed weeks before I ordered it, as the meat was stringy and rotten. It tasted like crawfish that had been left out in the sun for a month, not like the delicate, sweet lobster flavor that I had expected. I couldn't even finish it. Needless to say, the unholy effect that this meal had on me later that night was catastrophic. The other items on the menu may be better, but if you do chance going here, do yourself a favor and order anything but that hellish "lobster". Or probably the crab legs too. read more
