I have an unusual allergy that makes some things really difficult and the hygienist was very careful and observant not to cause a reaction of it. They found problems that my other dentist did not, enough to max out my insurance for the year. I've had 1 cavity my whole life before this and they pointed out some ways to bypass any future problems. I guess I have some deep ridges in my molars that were of a concern so they recommended filling them and replacing a filling and rebonding a tooth. Enough to probably max out my insurance when my dentist never did anything at all. He used white fillings on the molars, and I was a bit concerned when I first got my EOB and called my insurance to find out that they only pay for silver ones so you have to pay the difference. Only to find out that they have a policy that they won't actually charge you when insurance does that because they don't want their patients to make the decision based on money! That says something! So basically, they ate $60 in just one visit. Glad I took my friend's recommendation and switched to this dentist.

The hygienist polished the top row of my teeth, ignored the bottom, and then brought the dentist in. I told him I was just here for a cleaning, which he did in under 5 minutes. We've all been to the dentist and know how long a cleaning takes...it's a three-part situation with scraping, flossing, and polishing. The dentist did a quick run through of plaque removal then sent me on my way. My bottom teeth didn't touch polish and there was no flossing involved. I somehow left feeling like my mouth was in worse shape because I was in the chair for less time I was in the waiting room. **They Cured My 20-Year Dental Phobia in One Visit!**…read more To know me is to know that the dentist is one place I prefer to avoid. Truthfully, I hadn't been to one in a very, very long time. But when I recently cracked a tooth and began experiencing pain, I knew it would only get worse. My wife encouraged me to finally face my fear and use the extraction as an opportunity to get back to regular dental visits. Having just enrolled in new insurance, I searched the provider directory and chose Kowalski Dental cause I liked the name. I called and explained to the receptionist that I would soon be traveling for work, and the team graciously squeezed me in the very next morning. As a tech guy, I was extremely impressed by the efficient new-patient intake process. All the forms and consent documents arrived by text, allowing me to complete everything online before my appointment. When I arrived at the Beverly office, I noticed immediately before I even walked through the door that everyone seemed to be having a genuinely good day. The staff members were smiling and laughing, and I was welcomed warmly. The appointment I had been dreading was already off to a good start. The office was also absolutely spotless and when I got to the room to be seen I noticed right away that dental tech had changed so much since the last time I had been. After my X-rays, Dr. Kowalski evaluated the cracked tooth and carefully reviewed the images for any other potential concerns. He clearly explained everything he saw and what needed to be done right away. I reluctantly agreed to have the cracked molar, which also had an abscess, extracted. Thanks to plenty of Novocain, I didn't feel a thing during the short procedure. The entire experience was fantastic. Dr. Kowalski and his team were friendly, professional, and reassuring throughout my visit. I've already scheduled a full cleaning and evaluation for next week, and I'm genuinely looking forward to working with them to restore my dental health. If you live in the Groveland or Beverly area and are looking for a dentist, or considering making a change, I highly recommend Kowalski Dental. They completely changed my opinion of going to the dentist and cured more than 20 years of dental anxiety in a single visit!
