Worst sales experience of my life. Salesman wasn't even there at the time we agreed on, so I had to wait. The guy regularly spoke over me and didn't even listen to what I was trying to find. Didn't make a deal when I was there, as I wanted to think things over. Guy would barrage my phone and email constantly, once calling five times in a row while I was at work. When I answered to explain I was at work and could not take the call, he just kept talking. I will never do business with this dealer. Show some respect. read more

Made a phone call, the rudest person i ever spoke to in my life answered and then hung up on me for asking a question. Then called to ask a manager about that and then had the manager hang up on me. They have no respect for perspective customers, i cant imagine how they would treat you after taking your money. Potsdam would be better off if this "business" wasnt there. read more

To all looking for a used, dependable vehicle, Mahoneys is the last place you should look! They are the most dishonest people you will ever deal with. They have no regard for your safety whatsoever. I recently bought a truck from them and 3 weeks after (before I even made the first payment) I had to replace the water pump and they refused to come good on it. after that the gas tank straps broke, again nothing. Since then I have replaced bad rotors, the alternator, fuel lines,fuel tank neck, brake lines and to top if off the frame has cracks in it and one of the frame tubes recently broke. I recommend you take anything you buy from them to a reputable dealer and have it looked over thouroly before buying it because chances are there will be serious safety issues with it and it probably wont even pass inspection. Please be very leary about dealing with these people. read more

We rented our wedding shuttle from Mahoney's and they were wonderful to work with. It was a 15 passenger van and it was far cheaper and more convenient to shuttle guests in than other rental options in the area. We highly recommend them! read more

If I could rank BELOW this rating I would! I have NEVER dealt with such an unprofessional bunch of people!! In addition they attempt to use some very underhanded sales tactics, if you are not paying attention you could end up with extra costs such as adding money to the purchase price then trying to convince you they upped your trade in value!!! I specifically would not deal with Mitch O'Brien or the big man "Con" himself! It becomes very apparent after a very short time that they don't consider every sale important or a potential future sale. I am disgusted with lack of response to immediate concerns. As a matter of fact I never confirmed a potential purchase and am STILL waiting for a return call or email! Warning beware of what you buy form Mahoney's Auto Mall In Potsdam NY I would ask all my friends that believe that a company should have to stand behind there warranty to re-post this so this don't happen to more people then it already has. Why should a company be able to feel that they can get away with this?They wouldn't get away with it again if everyone puts the word out. So because I bought my car from Mahoney's in potsdam and there has been something wrong with my breaks since I picked it up and I have been bringing it back to them for four months and yet the problem still has yet to be fixed, I told them how I felt that I should not have to worry about a problem with a car I just bought, They told me with good cutomer service they were not fixing it to take it else where and to never buy a car from them again. This is why I warn people to spend the extra and drive to watertown, its cheapier in the long run. Mahoneys = used lemons..........Oh and don't forget there cars that they give you while they pretending to fix you car, the breaks go to the floor, one had the inspection sticker out dated, windows fall out on you, check engine lights on.......I guess i've made my point...Gonna call the attorney general thats for sure... I forgot all about the day that i bought it and someone told me to be careful because their sister just bought from them and they wouldn't fix it, knowing I already bought it i couldn't do anything I said I'm sure I won't have any problems, they seem to be a good dealership, boy was I ever wrong.... So i also forgot that hey were suppose to order the manual for my traverse which they never did. And the place they said they had my transmisson sensor fixed, i called to get a copy of the work order and they have never worked on my car ever...so the part was never put in...go figure, thats why i never got my manual is because they never ordered it. On he good note i filed a complaint with attorney general, I have records of dates of service and phone logs for all the calls. So lets see what happens.... I will post and repost about this company until they send my owners manual and fix the problem with my car that has not been fixed since I bought it......I refuse to give in and let this company win...They have done it to more than just me , this time they will not get away with it..
