That's the opposite problem from mushy overcooked vermicelli that I've sometimes encountered at some other Vietnamese restaurants. I also found the amount of sauce and greens underwhelming. The staff were nice enough to let us eat and sit in the restaurant. It's a pretty big restaurant but has an odd empty feel to it. The food is average with your typical Asian style dishes. There was a tiny misunderstanding over the change (their mistake, not mine), over a silly 5p, but the way it was handled by the server could've left a much better impression on a customer. But, as I said, he didn't seem to want to be there, and I was just taking up his space and air and a nuisance to him. There were three tables seated, and two servers, so you couldn't exactly say that they were busy... The order was finally ready after a 45 minute wait. And the verdict on the food? Meh. The portions were small for the prices they charge, and the taste was bland. Their one saving grace is the fact that they're located inside a hotel, a convenience for hotel guests who don't want to venture far for food. I certainly won't be back.

If you're having a veg soup, it cost under £4 (for a large soup). If you're having soup with meat in it, it cost around £4.50 for a large one! Comes with rice, chilli and fresh coriander. Or if you don't fancy rice, you can ask for a thick slice of brown / white bread. Service is quick and friendly - the people who work there have a sense of pride in their job and they tend to make most customers smile! Major plus point. Personally the soups are pretty on point and quite satisfying as well. On to the sandwiches, 3 word - it's so good!!!!! But I didn't think it filled me up well. There's also a salad bar there and you get to choose your base, toppings and sauce - pretty standard I would say!
