Bliss Bowl
Julie T.

Love the concept of having a healthier fast food option! I got the Bliss Bowl with Kale, cauliflower, chicken and brussel sprouts. I tried the Sesame Ginger & Cilantro Lime dressings. The chicken looked really white and like diseased (I'm picky with chicken). I quickly put the sauces in and it tasted good. Not sure if it was supposed to hot or cold but it was definitely cold. The service was good. The ambiance reminded me of Costa Vida but more tropical feeling. I walked from the Riverwalk which was nice. Not sure I would go back or take it to go and heat it up ‍

Mahana bowl with garlic tofu, roasted mushrooms and Buffalo cauliflower

Good food with quality ingredients and vegan options!. I really appreciate that their menu is crystal clear about what's vegan and/or gluten-free. There's no guesswork at all and the their app even lets you identify any food allergies you might have. I ordered a Mahana bowl with garlic tofu, roasted mushrooms and Buffalo cauliflower. The coconut sweet potato sauce. The bowl was light, but had a good balance between healthy and flavorful. The price was reasonable as well. Idaho does not have a lot of vegan food options for a traveler like me, but I was happy to try a bowl at Mahana Fresh!

THE BEST Fresh GF in Idaho Falls! Good mood definitely starts with good food From Ahi to Chicken then back to steak! Noodles, veggies, and sweet potato carbs!! This place is mind blowingly good! The best part.....Freakin DOLE WHIP!! Yes DOLE WHIP!! Like Disneyland! All Gluten free too which gives all of us free rein to pick and choose anything including the sauces! I can't say enough!! I just can't wow

Spicy Ahi Tuna 'bowl'

The guys at the counter were super friendly. The portions they serve are good for the price you pay. Flavor is good, and YES, the tuna is raw. Didn't expect much for raw tuna in Idaho Falls but was pleased to surprised. Brussels sprouts tasted good too. Only knock in the cold sesame noodles were "meh". Overall will go back when in town for work

Build-your-own bowl with spinach, broccoli, brussels sprouts, tofu, and citrus ginger

I was really grateful to find a restaurant with so many vegetarian and gluten-free options when I visited Idaho Falls on my way to the Craters of the Moon National Monument! It was awesome that everything was labeled incredibly clearly, and the staff was both knowledgeable about the ingredients in their food but also incredibly patient, kind, and accommodating of my dietary restrictions. Their app and website are also incredibly informative and have full lists of the ingredients and nutritional information for each menu item. Although Mahana Fresh was undeniably accessible and accommodating, the food itself was...alright. It was certainly refreshing to have some fresh vegetables and a vegetarian option that actually contained protein in it after a long road trip filled with...none of those things, but I don't think I could see myself wanting to frequent this spot if I actually lived in town. The honey sriracha brussels sprouts were tasty and delightfully spicy, but a bit too sweet for my taste (which, of course, I should have guessed from the word "honey" in the name). The sesame ginger broccoli was solid, and the bites of garlicky cilantro green beans that I stole from my dad's plate were also quite delicious. My mom's roasted sweet potatoes were, unfortunately, overcooked and way too salty, yet simultaneously lacking in flavor. Also, while I understand that Mahana Fresh is a fast-casual restaurant, many of the vegetables and proteins were all kept over the hot plate of death for what seemed like many hours, so nothing really felt "fresh." I did really enjoy the sesame garlic tofu, though, although I would have preferred to have the protein warmed (it was served cold, which was odd, considering that all of the other proteins, aside from the poke, were kept warm...although, in hindsight, considering how the vegetables fared over the hot plate, perhaps having cold tofu was a blessing in disguise). The citrus ginger was solid -- it was basically like the carrot ginger dressing traditionally served at Japanese restaurants with a stronger orange flavor. My father wasn't the world's biggest fan of the creamy wasabi, though, and had a few stomach issues a few hours after our meal here. Overall, if you're on a pan-America road trip and happen to be crossing through Idaho Falls, chances are that you've been a bit deprived of vegetables and good, clean, healthy food for at least a few days. I would definitely recommend dropping by Mahana Fresh to give your body a break from the fast food or random grocery store items, but it's by no means a must-try. Also definitely recommend giving Mahana Fresh a try if you have a lot of dietary restrictions and have been struggling to find restaurants in the area that are able to accommodate you!

I thought the food was average. Service was good, restaurant clean. Better options in town, Rumbi Island Grill.

It was one of the best dinner experience we had in years. The ambiance was relaxing. It will be a return when we are in the area. I felt like they really cared with my needs. The flat steak was tender at well done. The home made gelato was wonderful. My wife had Atlantic salmon and it was great, the best she ever had. The chocolate gelato had large chunks of chocolate. Thank you for everything.

The food was good, but it was not worth the experience. If we knew it would take so long we would have gone somewhere else. The outside seating is comprised of patio tables and chairs lining the exterior of the restaurant. It was nice at first, but there's a bee that likes to fly around which even the server was familiar with. We did outdoor seating and getting there at sunset we were sitting there in the dark with barely any light by the time our food arrived (almost two hours to get all our food for a party of four - 4 entrees and 2 appetizers total). The service was friendly but it was awkward seeing some people getting served even when they were seated after us. I loved the chicken wellington and would say that is the most unique dish at their restaurant. The food is overall good quality but this restaurant is probably better catered for pairs who are looking to celebrate a special event together. Indoor seating preferred over Outdoor seating.

A Speakeasy Shouldn't Mean Keeping People with Disabilities Out…read more My girlfriend and I were looking forward to going out this weekend to enjoy a downtown establishment that presents itself as a "speakeasy." Unfortunately, the experience surrounding accessibility was extremely disappointing. The main entrance to this restaurant/bar is downstairs, making it inaccessible to someone who uses a wheelchair. The alternative entrance involves going through an area where beer boxes and kegs are stored. Having to wait for employees to move things out of the way just so my girlfriend can enter is inconvenient, uncomfortable, and, quite frankly, embarrassing. My girlfriend uses a wheelchair, but that shouldn't mean she has to feel like an inconvenience just to enjoy a night out like everyone else. She shouldn't have to depend on employees moving storage items around to make room for her to enter a business. She deserves to be welcomed through an accessible entrance that is safe, practical, and dignified. Calling a place a "speakeasy" might create a certain atmosphere, but it shouldn't come at the expense of accessibility. A business should make reasonable efforts to welcome all customers, including people with disabilities. Accessibility should be considered when a business is designed, renovated, or operated--not treated as an afterthought. This isn't about asking for special treatment. It's about equal access, basic consideration, and treating people with dignity and respect. I urge management to take immediate, concrete steps to address this problem. That should include creating a permanent, safe, and dignified accessible entrance that does not require customers to pass through a storage area or wait for employees to move obstacles. Management should also ensure that the route remains clear, practical, and available whenever the business is open, and should communicate a clear timeline for making these improvements. My girlfriend and others who use wheelchairs deserve to enter and enjoy downtown restaurants and bars independently, safely, and without feeling embarrassed or like they're in the way. Everyone deserves a seat at the table. Getting through the door shouldn't be the obstacle.
