I've been taking my male poodle here for a few years now. He's always very anxious when we arrive because that's just him. The ladies never give me any trouble with him. The cute little work dog they have walking around is harmless. He just stands there and barks sometimes. If you pay him no attention he walks away. The people at Mah's have been very nice. I called to bring my dog in for a wash and nails cut they got me right in and they did a great job.

I went to pick my 3 month old Shi Tzu, was not told they cut her. I was so upset, and she's been restless all day. The more I see the nicks, the more upset I get. She's gotten groomed 2 other times, this never happened. Would not recommend, and obviously, would never go back. Her skin also feels really dry. read more

I took my dog, Maddie Mae, in today to get her hair cut. The grooming facility is very neat and clean. There is a lobby area with the ability to view into the grooming area. The lady was very prompt and took me in right away and called when they were done and I was checked out immediately upon arrival. Maddie's cut came with a bath, nail trim, and the cut. Paid $36.00 with tax. (They have from XS to XXL..Maddie weighs approx 10# and was given the S price) I am VERY satisfied with her cut, the pricing, and the service. This place is less than 1 star. I took my Pomeranian in for a Teddy Bear cut. I asked if they could do it. The lady said yes. I picked him up and his hair is all uneven. When I asked her why she said that is how the shaver cuts hair. When I asked why they didn't even it out with scissors they said that they don't. The groomer came out and was upset that I complained and said she didn't know I wanted a Teddy Bear cut. She slammed the door and went back into the grooming area. I asked for my money back and they refused saying services were rendered even though they did not cut my dogs hair as requested. No wonder they ask for payment in advance. I left the Edgemere location today and I literally witnessed one of the new groomers yanking the grooming noose on a 7 lb. white maltese. It was about 3:30 p.m. I proceeded to watch her continue this harshness while roughly combing the ears on the dog. When I asked her why she was so rough, she laughed and she replied in spanish, no hablo English. I called the Manager on the spot who also spoke very little English. I went on to file a compliant with animal cruelty, phone #311. Animals don't have a voice, and we must speak up when we see them being mistreated. read more

This was our first time here. I brought my two dogs in today, and was given an estimate time of 2.5 hours.....after the two hours, i called to see the status of when my dogs will be done. The lady said that she needed another 40 mins. So, we show up to the salon 45 minutes later, and she gets an attitude saying that "i told you i would call you when they are done" i replied back with, its been 40 minutes....then she said that this is an estimate. An estimate is usually plus or minus 30 minutes, not a ridiculous 1.5-2 hour time difference later. The employee seemed very unprofessional, and was terrible at "estimating" time to do the work! We will not be coming back here nor recommending it to anyone who asks. read more

The front desk person is rude. When I sent to drop off my dog they had a loose dog that ran at me and my dog and was barking. When I mentioned it to the lady she said he is all bark. When I went back to pick up my dog the same dog was running loose and barking at me, it also peed on the floor by the door. I told the front desk rude lady to put the dog away and she said he didn't bite you it's just barking. I had to explain to her how a dog running at customers and barking wasn't the best experience and she was very huffy as she went and put the dog in a cage. WTH, never going there again. The customer service SUCKS. read more

I took my doggies there 5 times. The last time was a month ago. The staff in front is friendly but behind of that door I have my doubts. All the times they kept our dogs like the minimum 5 hrs but once it was like 10 hrs . The first 2 times the grooming service were excellent. The next 2 times were just ok.but once they hurt my dog's tail. The last time I think they hit my dogs because when we got home they were acting weird so afraid even of me when I was getting close to them, one of my dogs were too afraid that she laid down when I got close to pet her . We were very sad that day because we put our dogs in that nightmare even when I read the comments I didn't believe it because the staff in the front were very friendly . Despite having an overall (3 star) rating I decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt and take my Olivia there! Despite not being greeted with a warm and friendly, but rather an "oh... hey " Still I decided to stay, since I was already there. What should've been a deal breaker for me was when the cashier after seeing my dog still asked what breed she was, while Westies (West Highland White Terriers) aren't too common in El Paso I think they're a popular enough breed for a groomer to know! Well even with all that I left Olivia there with an estimate of 2.5 hours! 4.5 hours later I get a call that Olivia is finally ready, when I went to pick her up I was expecting that the girl at the front desk would've had some lunch and be in a better mood. Nope! I was willing to give them a second chance until I noticed that they had trimmed her nail too short and drew blood! Over all the place was pretty clean but the customer service and quality of care needs improvement! read more

Poor customer service at Mah's. I brought both of my dogs in for grooming about an hour before 5PM and they said they weren't interested. That's right. They said no. Honestly, there are few places that have ever turned my money down. Fortunately another groomer two blocks down the street was happy to accommodate.
