My sister and I left feeling disappointed so I got on Yelp and thanks to all the reviews we called Carmen. For being a Saturday I was shocked when she told us to come in an hour! We arrived and as soon as we sat down they asked us if we would like some water or anything. They were very polite and helpful! I wanted highlights but I also wanted to dye my base color a different shade of brown. Anais was so helpful in letting me know what she was doing and tried to follow the picture I had taken to show her what I wanted. It was a long process but she never complained or tried to take short cuts but actually treated my hair better than I treat it. During this whole time they would ask if we were comfortable or if we needed anything. Thank you Anais my family and I love my hair! They also helped my sister obtain a blondish ombre look even though she still had red in her hair. They took their time and she looks great! Her hair looks so healthy!

Angela was pretty booked for color, so I scheduled a haircut with her first to get in a bit sooner and see if she would be a good fit for me. Before my appt, I also sent photos of my Inspiration haircolors/styles via text and in turn, she had me send her current pics of my hair and a summary of my color history. What I loved and appreciated was Angela's honesty and frankness. She didn't sugar coat anything and based on photos alone questioned if my hair was even healthy enough to withstand another bleach transformation to achieve the look of my inspiration pics. On the day of my haircut appt- she assessed the damage and confirmed my hair wasn't healthy enough at that time to get the results I was looking for with color and it would probably break if I bleached it again this soon. Not what I wanted to hear- but it is what it is...and I had consulted with another stylist prior at a different salon who essentially said the same thing. Angela spent a long time with me listening to my hair goals and examining my hair and we came up with a game plan focused on improving the health of my hair in preparation for my Inspiration pics. Loved the haircut and the vibes w/ Angela and the salon so I excitedly scheduled an appt a month out for the color. What Angela did was amazing! The brassiness/orange/warm tones disappeared, my grays were gone, and with a B3 treatment felt soft, healthy and had amazing shine. I was so impressed I booked her for the same thing again! I am beyond thrilled to have found a new salon and stylist with Angela at Shenanigans. She is super kind, professional, on time, upfront and talented. Shenanigans is right off the 91 frwy in a small strip mall with a mexican restaurant and Farmer Boys restaurant. The salon is clean, huge, and with alot of natural lighting. The other stylists and staff were all very professional, welcoming and friendly as well. Didn't look like the picture I requested and I had to fix the front a little at home but the curls were still nice and lasted noon till about 8pm. Make up matched my skin tone. Gotta love that! I have dark circles under my eyes and they were not visible!! Loved that!! I don't think that that the make up creased at my wrinkle. Loved that too. But it wasn't like the picture I showed. At home I had to lighten up the brows and take off some eye shadow. They've done my hair before and I loved it so I wanted to try it for my son's wedding. It wasn't as glamorous as I hoped, So I'm not sure if I'll use them or not for his wedding. Maybe if I go with the blow out vs hot iron curls. Price point seemed fair. I reached out to Cristina four times via email and never heard back. I was honestly very frustrated given I really wanted to book with her and I couldn't. Again I have nothing bad to say about her styling but I found her counterpart @hairby.chuy to be a lot easier to communicate with and his hair skills seem to be on par with hers.
