We stopped there for lunch during our hockey tourney. Food was awesome- we got self build burger and beef deep and soup plus milkshake. Got there good service, enjoyed time spent there.

Great ambience in this little diner. It was recommended to us by the local tourist info. I think they must send a lot of people there :) It was super busy - had to wait 40 min for brunch-that-rolled-into-lunch to arrive. The food was ok. The French toast egg soak was in dire need of cinnamon and the blueberry mix needed nutmeg. It looked like curdled blueberry yogurt. Not that appetizing. Something along the lines of a blueberry cobbler or pie filling would have worked better. The sausage patties that came with the big breakfast on the other hand, they were excellent! The coffee was good and hot and the wait staff very pleasant. The eggs benny were flying out of there so i assume they are good. Decent place. I'd go there again for breakfast.

This is the coolest places to have breakfast in Powell River.

Excellent service, great staff & wonderful food. What more could you ask for? The diner is probably built in the mid 40's judging by the decor. The new owners have wisely kept it the same. Please treat yourself to breakfast in this joint.

Half order of #3 Benny with hollandaise on the side. Yum!

We didn't expect a place such as this on the highway in between towns to be open at 11 AM on New Years Day, but there it was beckoning our hungry selves. Boy are we happy we stopped! The place is small and attached to a general store which looked to be well stocked. The restaurant was busy but the tables turned quick and we sat and were very promptly served by a smiling young man who took our tea orders and dropped water for us as well. We were given a little appetizer of blueberries, dragon fruit and pineapple along with a delicious obviously home made nut loaf which was delicious! Our orders were taken and the food delivered very quickly and piping hot. The portions were generous and well prepared. We would certainly stop by this little diamond in the rough if we find ourselves on the old Island Highway again. Thanks for a great meal!

It's inside the Old Courthouse Inn, which is a place you should stay in Powell River. Built in 1939, it's decorated in that era, and it's fantastic in my opinion. The restaurant has a series of photographs that are black and white on the walls, and are not to be missed. The service was prompt and attentive, although to be fair there were only two tables occupied. The food is straight forward, well cooked, tasty and comes out promptly and hot. Bacon and eggs, potatoes and toast along with tea, nothing better in the AM for us. Would most definitely stay at the hotel again and enjoy their breakfast!

We decided to sit at the patio to enjoy the warm weather. There is a swing at one side which is fun for both adults and kids. Our server was fantastic! Friendly and very accommodating. Some of us were sharing dishes and he managed to get the orders right and came with extra plates and napkins etc. I shared an eggs Ben (Figgy Linda) and small pancakes (Chase's cakes) with my friend. It was the perfect portion to try the egg Benny and pancakes. The food was very yummy and well executed with fluffy soft pancakes and runny yolk for the eggs. If you like history, go inside and explore. There's even a resident ghost playing the piano every hour. Unfortunately I didn't get to hear it.

Waitress walked off and never came back with my water. Had to track her down twice to request water before I finally got water. Ordered basted eggs with English muffin, got eggs over medium with whole grain toast. Politely said, I actually ordered English muffin, (did not mention that I didn't order fried eggs) she said "are you sure you don't want the toast? I said, no, I would like the English muffin. She walked off and served several other tables and started filling their drink orders. My husband tracked down a different person to get my English muffin, by then my not basted eggs were cold. I get it, mistakes happen to the best of us. A simple acknowledgment or apology would have been welcome, but not a word. It made me feel like I was the one being difficult and I hate being that person. It isn't cheap eats, so I simply wanted what I paid for. The fried potato hash towns were tasty and well seasoned, the eggs (however they were cooked) were good enough. Overall the food is what you expect for a traditional breakfast. If you don't expect amazing service you will enjoy the meal well enough.

We had breakfast here about 11:30 on a Monday and were surprised when asked if we had reservations as it's a very casual diner style restaurant. It did get busy so keep that in mind and maybe call ahead. Great atmosphere with model planes hanging from the ceiling, and delicious coffee. My breakfast was decent but not spectacular (bacon, eggs, hash and French Toast). They do shredded hash browns here which is nice but they were a little undercooked and a little on the small size portion wise. My sister's omelette was bland and overcooked. That being said I'd go back for the cool decor and maybe try lunch next time. I called a couple of days before to enquire about their hours and that person was super friendly but the staff weren't the friendliest when we actually ate there. Not rude, just not very warm or welcoming (maybe because we didn't have reservations!).
