He listened to my concern, assessed the situation, made a couple of recommendations to address the busted rollers and possibly a worn out tract, provided me with a reasonable quote, and scheduled a technician to come and repair the sliding door. Less than a week later, Chris, Action Glass Technician, came to fix the problem. He explained to me the remedial process and even showed me the defective parts he would replace. It felt good because Chris was transparent and trustworthy. He only replaced the busted rollers and did not change the tract because it was still in good working condition. The final bill I paid was 1/3 less than the initial quote. The following day I phoned Action Glass and had a conversation with Arlene. I expressed my appreciation for the work that Chris provided, and for his friendliness and professionalism. A few hours later, I received an email from Leanne Roth, Business Development Manager, thanking me for the feedback I shared about Chris. A week later, a written thank you card and a Starbucks gift card arrived in the mail from Leanne. It was such a pleasant experience dealing with the Action Glass Team from the beginning to the end of the transaction. Their whole crew was excellent! It is unacceptable to drag this work out for as long as possible. My advice to them: Work on one balcony, FINISH IT, and MOVE ON. Their work has been left unfinished for nearly two weeks. Not to mention the 110dB jackhammer noises that they insist on carrying on with at 6pm on a Friday evening, probably because they don't start work until they feel like it -- usually anywhere from 11am to 2pm. I am in charge of hiring contractors on a regular basis and these guys are some of the worst I have ever seen.
