Still terrible and after getting a "new" fridge with dents in it and obvious repairs to the weather stripping, we noticed a piece of cardboard place on the back at the bottom covering the opening, not sure if something else is supposed to be there but this cardboard obviously isn't manufacture specifications. Our company have been using magnum appliances for more than five years to service our tenants needs, unfortunately in the last couple of years their clie services have declined, not the technicians but their office,I have been trying to get a hold of the supervisor all day and all they do is refer me to a number that doesn't answer and sends me back to the operator, if he or she reads this please answer your phone. read more

i realty don't like to looose time and write a review but this time I have too . after year to use them and always shut up it's time to say that they are not professional and they used super old and already almost broken appliances ... what they sell always brake after 2/3 month and this time I was still with warranty and they send out a tech to check the dishwasher that was not clean properly my tenant used it for not even one month . for them all ok no problem . Easy, cost effective, and got the job done. I needed a fridge for my home. The old one was terribly rusted, but I was about to list the house and needed a nicer look in the kitchen. My realtor recommended Magnum. It took 10 mins to pick a used fridge from the collection and arrange for delivery later that week. All went smoothly and they hauled away my old machine. I was referred to Magnum and so happy I called them as my dishwasher was making a horrible buzzing sound. Service man Dave came out next day and as always I was expecting the worse. My washer broke down on a Wednesday, they waited 7 days to call my landlord for approval. They tried to imply that my landlord hadn't approved when in fact she told me that they ere short staffed and hadn't called my landlord at all. The only bright side was that the technician that came to my house to diagnose the problem was kind and professional . So now they tell me that they can't rush the parts and it will be 3-5 days to get them. So now that puts at 3 weeks before my washer will be repaired. Completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this business at all.. Update: they called me and said that they put a rush on the part and should be getting it installed by tomorrow. I will post an update tomorrow . This is really good news and I'm happy that they are trying to make things right. read more

Just plainly incompetent business establishment. They took 4-5 weeks to fix a small switch on my washer and their technician blew up the computer inside the washer in the process. Then took an additional 3-4 weeks to fix the computer which was working in the first place. This has happened to me not once but twice when similar things happened with them fixing my dishwasher. This place was a pleasant surprise. I made a lot of calls around town before getting a referral here from someone who owns a lot of properties. He said he bought all the appliances for his rentals here. The sales person that worked with us was really attentive and made phone calls & follow ups to find what we were looking for. The prices were very reasonable and they have a great warranty for used appliances. The installation staff were on time, respectful, and really fast. I would definitely recommend using Magnum. Update: Even more impressed by how Magnum handled a problem with my mom's washer. It was only 6 days prior to the expiration of the warranty. They offered an exchange OR a fix. My mom opted for the fix, so they sent a repair person who not only hit it fixed, but also left my moms apartment clean and neat. As my mom said "it was like he wasn't here, but now my washer works again." That was 6 months ago and it's still going strong. I love people that stand behind their product! I originally gave them a 4 and just upgraded the rating to a 5 just for how they handle problems. read more

TERRIBLE! These people never call when they are supposed to call, don't schedule appointments properly, and ALWAYS show up late! Very unreliable and unprofessional. Five different times I've had scheduling issues due to the staff forgetting or not documenting things correctly. Don't even apologize when I confront them about this ongoing issue. On top of that they broke a piece of my tile. Unfortunately my landlord uses this vendor to fix issues in the apartment. If it were left up to me I would not pay them a cent or ever recommend them to others. Zero stars if it were possible. read more

This is the second time I have had this experience with Magnum so this is not a one off review. The first time we had no oven for over a week while they came went, didn't show up, etc. So on last Monday I called and said I had a leak in my kitchen. This means water on the floor - it was all week. To this day (one week later) I still have rags soaking the leak and wringing them daily while waiting for them to get here. I call on Monday they say they'll be there on Tuesday afternoon despite my claim about the water on the floor. Of course, Tuesday they didn't show up so I called and they said they would come on Wednesday. BTW they are not friendly customer service on the phone - mostly short, curt phrasing. So on Wednesday I get called on told they are there but I'm not home. I work from home a lot and believe me I'm sitting at my house. So we go back and forth and it turns out they have the wrong address and now they will send someone on Thursday. Remember there is still water all over my kitchen floor. On Thursday they go to the wrong address again, the tech calls me and yells at me that I'm not home again, I tell him the correct address and he says he'll be over in 10 minutes. Two hours later he doesn't show up. Now let me tell you something. Since I spoke with him and each day I speak with them I rearrange my entire life - work, meetings, appointment around that 1-4pm window they are giving me. Since he said he was going to be there in 10 minutes I went ahead and scheduled a much needed doctors appointment (which I had rescheduled from Tuesday afternoon) to 3:30pm. I spoke with him at 12:30, ten minutes would be 12:40 and at 3:30 when I gave up and left he called and said he was there. I was not. OK so now Friday comes and I'm sure we are on the same page for the 1-4pm window and I'm sure they know the correct address. So I schedule a remote conference call for 11am that I need to give a presentation to my boss. I'm on that call for a long time and at about 12:15 it's my turn to speak and give my report. I begin to go through my agenda and suddenly there is loud knocking at my door. And my dogs start barking. I mute the phone, apologize to my bosses and hope it stops. Nope, they keep knocking and knocking and knocking. I finally stop my call, go outside and it's the tech. At 12:15. What part of between 1 and 4pm do you not get? Do you not understand that people do everything in their power to be available during that window of time and do everything else outside of that period of time? Do you have any idea how embarrassing that tech made me on the phone? Such disrespect earns you a one star Yelp review. And on top of it the tech gives me attitude and does NOT come back during the correct window of time. So one week later, water on the floor and no service. read more

I have had magnum appliance technicians attempt to repair my dishwasher and washing machine at least ten times over the last 13 months, and every experience has been disappointing. Their second-hand appliances are horrible, and one dishwasher came infested with roaches. The women who answer the phone calls and handle the scheduling are so incredibly rude, incompetent, and make no attempt to help when an issue arises. I was told a dishwasher tech was coming to repair my dishwasher and that he had the necessary part, but when he arrived he had no idea he needed a repair piece or what part of the dishwasher was even broken. Poor experience. Second time I buy washer dryer from this company, second time it break down within the warranty window. However, if they say warranty they mean fixing service withing that timeframe. If you got 6 months warranty , and the appliance stopped working after 5, they will come and fix, but if the next month it will stop working again you are on your own. Wanted a replacement - nope, wanted upgrade - nope, extension of warranty period as the product is breaking apart after 5 months - nope nope. It doesn't take much to fix a couple of appliances, hundreds of companies can do that. What sets businesses a part from one another is customer service. I have used this company twice and on both occasions they have been late! They tell you from 11-2, so your work day is gone; and then they don't show up till almost 3!!!!!!!! So you lose money from not working so you can spend money for a sorry contractor. Lesson learned, never again!!! read more

We bought a package of appliances for rental property for my customer. Very happy with the whole process from the moment I walked in until delivery and installation. Girls in the showroom were very helpful, not pushy. I believe Mariana was helping me thru the whole process. My phone calls were answered and they knew exactly what we were talking about. we set everything very quick. The day of delivery I was very nervous, most of reviews were negative. First used frige and dishwasher I bought from them still works great! I bought a rental property this year and the dishwasher wasn't working even though it pass the home inspection. I went to Magnum to buy a used one, but the owner says why not have their repair tech come out to look at mine to see if they can fix it. He wanted me to save money! Very refreshing in today's world. So the technician came out and fixed my dishwasher for only the service charge of $89. I highly recommend this company, you simply cannot beat their pricing and their 6 months warranty, plus their excellent customer service! read more

Stay away from this business!! My refrigerator took a crap and I went to Magnum for a replacement. Picked out a fridge and it was delivered a few days later. In less than a week there were multiple issues. Fridge wasn't keeping temperature, the door water dispenser stopped working and was making noises. They brought a "loaner" while they assessed the fridge. I had work so I left a key with someone to let them in. I told them they would be responsible to transfer the food. When I got home I found a bin of frozen meat (steak, chicken, pork, fish) they had left sitting on the kitchen floor completely thawed. The loaner had a broken ice maker. A week later a replacement fridge was available. They delivered the replacement and that refrigerator was not making ice after an hour. I called and the delivery guy came back and checked the ice maker. He couldn't figure out the problem and told me to give it a couple of hours and if it was still not working they would send a tech to replace the icemaker. Two hours later and still no ice! I called and told them they had to accommodate me and send a tech while I was home outside of normal business hours as I was not taking additional time off and they refused. I ended up taking out the ice maker and repairing it myself. I spoke to a few other people in my development who told me of similar experiences with this business. They need to have quality control measures in place to ensure everything is in working order before any appliance is delivered. read more

We had Magnum come out to fix a washing machine that did not fill up. A very patient repair tech came out and tried the machine a few times but the problem did not occur. We paid the repair call fee and he told us if it happened again to call them and they would come out for free. We called 30 days later for the same issue and were told we would get a call when the new repair visit was scheduled. No call. We called again. No call back. We called again this time asking about replacing the machine. No call again. These people do not stand behind their word. Be careful. read more

Magnum appliances came out to repair our freezer on the refrigerator earlier in the week. David the repairman who showed up on time and did an excellent job, Chris the Servie Manager, Laura and Stephanie in the showroom, were all Professional and a pleasure to work with. The do offer a warranty on the repairs and are very honorable because we needed for them to return and they did. In the past we have purchased washers and dryers from this Magnum location and were always pleased with the appliances, service and pricing. I would never call anyone else to service my appliances. If I didn't HAVE to use this company through my management company, I wouldn't. First they delivered a dishwasher. The delivery man was rude, moved part of the counter to get the dishwasher to fit and refused to move it back when finished. Then they sent the wrong stove and blamed me from requesting it when I when all I asked is if it could be delivered on Saturday seeing as how I work during the week. The fist and second stove didn't fit in the counter space. The fridge/freezer that was delivered was broken! With a legit hole in the freezer. All my food was ruined. They came to "fix" it which was just taping over the hole which didn't work. I called back and the girl said they would send me ANOTHER fridge/freezer the next day. Never called back to set up a time. Seeing as how I took the day off, I called that morning and I was told the appliance wasn't ready and it wouldn't be delivered that day. Absolutely ridiculous customer service. I wouldn't recommend working with this company to anybody. read more

Magnum Appliance called me back yesterday to schedule my appointment for the following day between 8 to 10 AM at 10:00, I called them to get an update on my appointment, they told me my appointments has been rescheduled for later around 11 to 2 PM now, at 2 o'clock I called them again and they said that my appointment was reschedule for tomorrow. First, their phone menu is BROKEN, press any number it just sends you in a circle back to the initial "press 1" for blah, blah...so it took a while to figure out how to actually reach someone. I needed them to fix my fridge, they said, scheduling will call you. I told them I work from home and would be home all day, they asked for multiple numbers I provided my wife's. Evidently they called me, didn't leave a message, I was on a conf call, they called my wife and left her a voice mail. They actually left a voice mail on the ALTERNATIVE number, WTH? They eventually got to my house after 5pm, the guy just listened to my fridge, said, "you need a new control board, I will have to call parts (which is now closed), my boss will call you tomorrow"... Tomorrow comes, no call, nothing, the next day I call Magnum @ 8:16am (they open at 8), navigate my way thru their BROKEN phone system, NOBODY ANSWERS. I call back 5 min later, I get someone, then I get, "I'm not sure parts are not in yet, can I call you back?" At one time they were actually a decent company but now they're simply pathetic. Perhaps the worst company I have dealt with in South Florida. We had the company come out to diagnose a problem with our refrigerator and they ordered a new circuit board. Then, after they installed the board our freezer would not freeze anymore. They came out and said sure enough we had to order another part from them, and it would cost us more money. I asked to speak with a supervisor but the company never had the deceny to call me back. I ordered a 36 stainless steel fridge and payed up front for it. I explained that I live one floor up ( Condo) and it has to come up the stairs and also told them I need a French door fridge removed that can be repaired and more then likely resold. ( They can keep my existing fridge) The individuals refused to bring it up a flight of stairs. I work with a few devopers and contractors. I'm now calling all my contacts to avoid this company. The sad fact is the manager of the company said he does not want his movers to be injured . I made it clear it's a flight of stairs. I lost a 2 days of work because of this, and let's face it time is money. Do yourself a favor and purchase from Sears outlet and avoid this company. read more
