Having a room that can accommodate up to 3 patients at a time meant that both kids could be seen simultaneously, which limited our wait time. Being in the same room with both kids during their cleaning and check-up made me feel comfortable as well. (When my kids were little I had to choose which child to be with.) I was really pleased with the practice and would recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful pediatric dental practice.

After bringing him to a well recommended peds dentist in Harrisburg, I left that appt feeling sick. They said at his age any work would have to be performed under anesthesia at a hospital! I was so scared!!! But then I decided to make the hour drive to Dr Miller in Lancaster after my husband was told all about him. And his father. Well, let me tell you... NO matter how many great things I had heard, they paled in comparison to the experience of being there!!! Not only is it a fun office (as you would think all offices directed solely at children would be) but EVERY detail was thought of to provide an exception service! From the amazingly warm and friendly front desk staff who instantly make you feel welcomed, to the jungle gym and toys in the waiting room which make the kids excited to be there, to the dentist's office with even more toys to entertain the kids and again put them even more at ease, to the assistants that are helpful and enthusiastic, to the actual exam rooms which will blow your mind!!! They are literally a toy room, complete with a working mechanical horse. Other than the fact that there is a dental chair and tools in the room, you would swear that you were just in a child's dream playroom!!!! So again, not only is this designed to be fun, it clearly is there for the purpose of taking as much of the fear and intimidation out of the situation as possible. And it works!!! Lastly, I can't say enough kind and positive words about Dr Miller... I have not stopped singing his praises from the very first appt on. His way with children is nothing short of magic (which he also does to put kids at ease)!!! He constantly speaks to them throughout the procedure to keep them as focused and calm as they can be. He sings, talks nonesense, jokes, anything and everything he can do... it almost mesmerizes them... he lets small children lie on you to again put them at ease (and help to hold them down) and works his magic as quickly and effectively as possible! How he maintains his concentration I am not sure, but at the speed of light it seems he is done... and the outcome is AMAZING! Again with a dentist in the house, they can be tough critics, but he too was amazed at the results!!! ALL of which was done with minimal to NO PAIN, NO HOSPITALIZATION, NO ANESTHESIA, NO TRAUMA, and NO HOSPITAL BILLS!!! I would recommend this practice (and do to anyone I have spoken with since the first appt) more than I have ever recommended anything or anyone! I don't take my children's health lightly, nor am I someone to often go online and write reviews, but I honestly have never felt so strongly compelled to do so. Please don't waste your time, money, or risk your children's dental health to ANYONE ELSE! They are worth the trip... they are honestly priceless!!!

I corresponded with the office staff via phone and email to accomplish the transfer. They were very professional and efficient. When my appointment finally arrived a few months later, I was reminded over and over via text to the point that it was borderline harressment. One reminder is fine, especially when I confirmed, but the repeated texts were a tad overkill. When I arrived I was greetly warmly to a very clean and beautiful office. I've never been to a professional health care provider that was decorated as homey as here. It was nice, without being too much. My dental hygenist was running late, as I wasn't called back till 30 minutes after my appointment time. No one informed me of that. Than it took her longer to actually build my chart, and get the front desk to pull and download my previous xrays from my old provider, all while I sat in the chair and waited. I feel all of that should have been done prior to my appt. To be honest I was very annoyed at how long I was there. The cleaning was good, and they provided a courtesy scan of my mouth. Dr Scott was charming and easy on the eyes. He answered my questions in an easy to understand manner. The welcome goodie bag was a nice surprise, with merch I will actually use. Obviously I'll be back, I hope the running that behind is an isolated incident. I also opted out of the text messages, so moving forward I hope to give them an additional star.

I was pressured to get xrays and so after traveling 40 minutes to this appointment I left without a cleaning because the office manager refused my request to forgo the x-rays for health reasons . I had called her the week before and left a voice message asking her to call me back because I wanted to speak to her about this very subject. She never returned my call and so when I showed up for my cleaning appointment I was simply told that unless I got the x-rays they would not clean my teeth so I asked if I should leave ( i was in the chair) . It was suggested that there was nothing they could do for me without the x-rays other than let my dentist look at my teeth . Her reasoning was liability and it just left me feeling like she was more interested and concerned about protecting the staff then she was concerned about my specific health concerns and unique needs as a patient regarding unnecessary exposure. Still love Dr. Allison! He is the best! I just never thought it would end this way, and all because I wanted to have my teeth cleaned without exposure to an xray.He was always compassionate and never pushy.
