Out of the many restaurants visited during my recent European trip, this 24-hour spot has to be one to remember. With an eclectic menu and hours of operation, it's a perfect place to kill a buzz or jet-lag high. Their servings are humongous, well-balanced, and plated nicely! I expected a little simple plate of just scrambled eggs, sausage, and some fruit. But I ended up with a beautiful platter of nicely prepared fruit -lots of fresh fruit, bread, spread, eggs, and meat. I thought they brought me the wrong order. At 4 am, this well-decorated, open-patio restaurant/bar had mediocre service, the usual secondhand smoke exposure, and some really catchy tunes - as if we dined with Monica, Aaliyah, Brandy, and other 90s R&B folk. The food was excellent. The pastas were fresh. The soups were delicious and well everything they put in front of us was a success. Most importantly the vibe was awesome. The husky italian man who greeted us was boisterous and fun. He made all the right recommendations and we were off to a great start. The wine hit right and the entire troop of opera stars from across the street came into the restaurant to their usual table to enjoy a meal together after the show. It was great seeing them off stage and we got a chance to convey our gratitude for a great show. The meal was a hit and I wouldn't have done it any other way.
