My husband and I chose this company for our May Wedding due to the fact that it was not only a black-owned business that seemed reputable, but also our encounter with the owner, Bruce, was very professional as he ensured that his company was the best choice to host the wedding. We scheduled a food tasting and we were blown away from the presentation and service that we immediately agreed that we wanted On Boarding to be our caterer. Unfortunately, during our wedding, my husband, wedding planner, family members and numerous of our guests experienced many things that did not reflect this business. One complaint was the company's bartender, BJ, saying racial comments about the bride to the groom which she was unaware of (calling her picky and saying she has to "ni**erate the drink"), some staff stealing personal items and monetary gifts from our guests in attendance, and lack of quality of food, drinks, and service to us and our guests. All complaints were dismissed by the owner without any option for refunding us any portion of the over 10k dollars we spent on catering, bartending, and additional 20% gratuity in the contract. He did not apologize or hold himself or his staff accountable for the poor service and only mentioned that he will take our complaints into consideration. We overall felt betrayed by a company who portrayed themselves as classy, but ended up being unprofessional, inappropriate, and disrespectful to my husband and I being the bride and groom and our guests who expected a stellar service. I highly do not recommend this company.

David and Sunshine were so very patient and helpful in every step of the process. They helped me narrow down the food / drink choices, ensure everything was provided and set up in nice flow for all the guests. We were going for the "barn / outdoor" wedding while still trying to keep things elegant. To say the food was perfect is such an understatement. We were able to provide great, filling options for the cocktail hour as well as dinner! All of our guests had something to enjoy throughout the entire evening! Honestly the hardest part of the experience was finalizing the menu. Everything at the tasting was so delicious, I wanted all of it! I would highly recommend Simply Delicious to anyone in need of catering! Our event was months ago and we are still receiving compliments about their food and service from our guests. They most certainly go the extra mile to ensure everyone is happy. They even went around shortly after everyone was eating to start clearing dishes. From the professionalism to the amazing dishes, 5 stars seems to fall short. I am so grateful for David, Sunshine and everyone at Simply Delicious! Thank you all so very much!!

I am excited for any opportunity to partner with them for corporate events, which typically run over multiple days. They do a fantastic job at listening to the chatter in the room to make each meal better for our guest. The service is never short of excellent and the meals always have a taste of "home cooking". They put the "extra special" into every menu item, whether it is a special ingredient or the need to cater to vegans and vegetarians. I have partnered with them on at least three events to date. This last event, I called somewhat desperately because I didn't receive much notice. I didn't look at their menus, I simply provided my vision and let them run with it. Four days of meals and all were different -- breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks over four days! I trusted them explicitly because they have never let me down. They continually make me look good, and I feel like I can promise they will do the same for your next event. If you have not tried Chefella's yet, my only question is... What are you waiting for???
