I was looking for some crystals and rocks and found myself here on a whim. It's small but has so much. Lots of crystals, rocks, incense, sage, books, tarot cards, jewelry, etc. I found what I was looking for and enjoyed wandering around and finding new things. The guy who was working was super friendly and very talkative. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Five stars! read more

Love the energy of this shop! And for a small space, they have a great selection of goods, especially crystals and books. They also had a nice array of decks and jewelry, so I know I will return. Enjoyed speaking with Tom! Very glad this shop is keeping the ninth street vibes chill read more

Lynn is the real deal!!! She did not start the session asking me my questions for the reading. She just knew. She laid out the cards and answered every single question that was floating around in my brain. She spoke about things I have never uttered out loud, validated my gut feelings, discovered my dreams, expanded on them and even offered options I had never even thought about. I left the session with a hug and full of excitement for my future. Thank you to my new guide and friend. read more

Such a cute shop! I love that they have a robust selection of books in addition to crystals, smudge tools, tarot, jewelry, candles, and more! I popped in for a few minutes before a class I was taking nearby and I could have spent a lot more time there! The clerk was very friendly, telling me about sales and such. I'm sure she would have been knowledgeable had I asked specific questions. I look forward to stopping back in! read more

I drove pretty far to visit MagikCraft based on raving reviews from coworkers. I will say that the employees are all very friendly and helpful. They love their jobs and are proud to support other local businesses as well. There's so much to see in this shop; it's a bit tight, crowded, and overwhelming. However, I found some nice polished crystals and a spirit bear to add to my altar. I like this shop a lot because there's no bad energy here and there's so much to look at. From tumbled crystals to a large selection of tarot decks all the way to CBD products and honey jars, there's something for everyone. I didn't really like hearing an employee say that they cast a spell on the shop to boost sales, that felt icky. The other reason for not giving 5 stars is because this shop is very pricey. There's raw crystals that are 3-4x the price of other competitors. I know stores need to make profit but it was unreasonably high. I'm glad I visited this shop but I definitely don't think it's worth the long drive. read more

This was a nice little store with friendly employees. I came here for my wife so I'm admittedly not the target demographic, but the store was clean with plenty of room to browse and a decent selection of goods. I only knock it a single star because many things seemed a little more expensive than other shops I've been to recently. read more

I have been to both stores a number of times. I was always greeted upon entering through the door. Lynn, Tom & Justen have been very helpful in assisting me in the store. They have a little bit of everything here. I was just there the other day and they have a new shipment of clothes and Happy Drums. If you are looking for something magical and mystical, maybe a gift or something for your nature. This is the place to come. They also have a store on 70. Overheard the owners discussing how there's no such thing as cultural appropriation. Personal dealings with them left the impression that they are rude at the very least with some very bad vibes. They also never took safety precations for the pandemic.. not even at its height... I will never go back. read more

I don't even know where to start. Do I fish over the fact that i come in and Tom remembers my name from my first visit. Or the fact that Lynn allowed me to ask her a question and answered not only what i asked her but also spoke to what i was pondering on but was not ready to ask. Or maybe it's going in and just standing and feeling the energy shift in my body and soul knowing I'm coming out more calm, relaxed and positively charged than i was when i went in? They aren't pushy, the educate you, let Tom read your numbers you'll be speechless lol the vibe is just everything Coming into this place is like being handed a lemon pop on a summer day and realizing not only is it lemon, its peach and pineapple too AND it's an edible. My SIL purchased a reading with Lynn for my birthday gift and I would have to say I am super impressed on how wonderful my reading was. It's been over 10 years since I've had a reading done from anyone, but I truly believe Lynn is the real deal! She is so sweet, honest, and absolutely positive! She is not a faker/scammer like some. She also offers readings over FaceTime. She knows what she is doing and I would highly recommend her! Oh did I mention she also offers life coaching & classes?! Her shop is also very cute and has a wide range of crystals, sages, cards, etc. I will definitely be back! read more

Lynn is incredible. I've done several readings with her over the last few years and always walk away with a new perspective of me (and things to work on). She's transparent, unfiltered and truly connected to her craft. The very first time I sat with her, it was like I knew her already. The store is a true vibe and the team running it is helpful, kind and welcoming read more

This place is pretty cool. I went here a couple of weeks ago and I'm pretty new to magic things. I always loved stones and they had a great variety of stones with difference properties so that was nice. I wanted some oil for protection and they had two different types, I asked the cashier what the difference was and she said idk but let me call the owner and find out for you. The owner answered the phone and gave a detailed description! This is great customer service and I feel like they were happy to share there knowledge with people who don't know much about this type of stuff. I haven't used my products yet but overall I had a good experience. They really seem to care about their customers. Also they were running a special where I got a free stone and entered into a contest. Such a fun experience! read more

I'm going to acknowledge both Justin and Julie in this review. I went in looking for a particular crystal and got far more than I expected with Justin! He spent time helping me find additional items and offered amazing advice! Two separate times, I've interacted with Julie and she helped me pick out some great reading material and is always open for rich conversation! She is also extremely knowledgeable! For the sake of adding some balance, I won't mention the third amazing person by name but he knows who he is! It was most certainly a pleasure meeting him as well and getting that life path number! The whole staff is amazing and I enjoy every visit to the fullest! Can't wait to get a reading soon! read more

So I drive all the way from Littleton to come to this shop, after leaving all my crystals in California. I was so excited because this was the only spiritual shop that I have not visited in North Carolina. Upon entering, I was not greeted or welcomed at all because the employee was having a personal conversation. That's a turn off. Not once did he stop to say hello, greet me as a customer or even so much as make eye contact. There were a few things that I would have liked to purchase but I refuse to spend my hard earned money where I am not welcome. So I decide to stop looking around and make my exit. Upon exiting the door he says "have a good day" lol really, on my way out. How backwards is that?! Moving on read more

I'll give a 2 star instead of a 1 star rating. My fiancé and I wanted to check this shop out because they had a nice good selection. Upon entering we were not greeted by anyone and we were constantly being watched pretty hard which was quite uncomfortable for the both of us. I've been to quite a few spiritual and crystal shops in NC and SC. The prices here are outrageous!!! 3x the amount they should be. I wouldn't recommend anyone from out of town to drive all the way over here because you might be disappointed. Now the selection of things is wonderful but the prices are not. read more

Today I had a tarot reading with Lynn and it was so amazing and calm. I recommend readings with the wonderful Lynn. She has a beautiful personality and conveys so much positivity. I am extremely pleased to have had this experience. I believe that we should all experience something so beautiful and spiritual. I have had readings with a other people with a lack of professionalism who did not really get rid of my doubts completely nor did she convey as much peace and security as Lynn did with her very accurate reading. I am grateful to have had so much insecurity that brought me here to look for answers and not only did I come out with answers, this experience fed a lot of security and faith to my soul. If you read this Lynn, thank you and your employees that made this a wonderful experience. I really hope to see you soon! read more

A very lovely and enlightening shop! I have only visited this store a few times but each time I go I feel better than when I arrived. Shelly and Lynn (the owner) are so very insightful and helpful! Full of inspiration and guidance! (Those are the only two people I have met but I am sure the other employees are great as well) The store has a nice selection ranging from tarot cards, to crystals, to even cbd & delta 8! We stopped by here on the way back home from Hillsborough. It's a cozy, lovely meta physical store. They have everything from soaps to crystals to incense and everything that you need to purify and protect your home. I heard about Lynn from a friend I met at Archangelic Master Class and I asked if I could get a reading. Though Lynn was almost done with her readings for the day she was kind to do my reading. My husband was with me and he and I were shocked at what all she told us. She is amazing and is truly intuitive. People pretty please try her! I gave never experienced anyone who is so precise. She told us stuff she had no way to know. I am a believer now. read more

I've been to a few tarot readers, fortune tellers, and psychics over the last decades. Lynn has impressed me the most due to her accuracy, charisma and care. She was very detailed in her descriptions as well as readings. I have come to rely on her in impactful moments in my life. Extremely accurate and professional. Lynn's power goes beyond her capability to foresee the future. Her charisma care and compassion allow her to provide heart to heart guidance and a clear understanding of present past and future experiences and choices. Over the phone consolidations are good but Lynn's reading habiliteis truly shine and expand in person. Her ability to answer questions in detail, providing a clear picture of the answer we are looking for is nothing short of extraordinary. I have come to rely on her for major decisions, life changing events, as well as for guidance to make sure I'm choosing the right path and avoid issues. Lynn has advised me regarding my business, divorce, personal and family life. Still, above all, her intuition and special abilities really shine due to her care for her clients like myself and the friend who referred me to her. I'm truly impressed honored and blessed to have met her. read more

Life changing. Awakening. Acceptance. A gift. At peace. A believer. Lynn, you are a true miracle worker. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your gift with me and with your many other clients here in Durham, in the world, and in the beyond. I went in for a medium session with my twin and I felt the need to go back for a second session because so many doors were opened up in the first. The second session was just as powerful and just as strong. Lynn is gifted in all areas of her craft including medium work and tarot readings, both of which I've witnessed first hand. Her classes she offers are such a wild, wonderful experience as well if you're just curious about the magikal things going on in there at Perry Street! I feel like I can't even express in words the gift that Lynn has given me. Three years after losing my Mom and Grandma and then my dog, I found myself at constant odds trying to reach a place of peace and acceptance over what had happened. I was left with an unsettled feeling that I absolutely NEEDED to know where Mom's soul had gone, and that she was okay. I couldn't reach peace with everything until I knew. A friend reached out to me out of the blue and told me I needed to schedule a visit with Lynn because she had just had a session and it was life-changing, and I took that as a sign that it was time. My twin and I found ourselves tucked away in the corner of a small Magik store in Durham, sitting across from the lady that would soon change our lives. The power and connection was instant and strong. Lynn knew things about us and about our deepest, darkest thoughts and ways of being instantly. I would say that we went into the session as "cautiously optimistic." We figured if we couldn't connect with Mom, that was okay, it was still worth a shot. It turns out we connected with Mom and more. Pieces of our lives were brought clearly into light. Mom came through and we could FEEL her there. It WAS her. I can't say enough that even if you don't believe in the spiritual world and are skeptical of psychics and mediums, it is worth every penny to give it shot and see what happens. What do you have to lose? It turns out I stood to lose everything if I hadn't gone in, because Mom was my everything. Lynn gave me a gift I will be eternally grateful for by connecting me with my Mom, and for that, I thank her from the bottom of my heart. After our session, my twin and I both found ourselves in the car, speechless. "WOW" is all we could say. Wow. The power, the beauty, the gift. The peace. The acceptance. After fighting for three years to put my mind at rest that Mom was okay, all it took was one hour with Lynn to reach the place I had been searching for. Thank you Lynn for that gift and for your limitless well of compassion, insight and revolutionary advice that will give me solace and comfort for years to come read more

I called the store because I was going through something so serious with my relationship. She got on the phone with me and instantly gave me kind words. She invited me to come in on a Saturday which was pretty full but she switched her schedule around just for me, I felt like I was much more than a number or a pay check. She sat with me and kept it all the way real. She knew what she was talking about and she was on point with everything she told me. I felt such a connection with her that I just can't explain..... she is the real deal. "thank you for being so loving and pure. Loved the store and found everything I needed but when checking out they did not give me a receipt so I was a bit skeptical and checked again and realized they had overcharged me $20 (I had $60 worth of items but I was charged $80.) The staff was no help in reimbursing the overcharge and did not know how to fix it so they gave no solution and just took the $20 and said there was nothing they could do. I love crystal shops!! But that just ruins the experience, hope this doesn't happen to anyone else because that's crazy. read more

Lynn and her husband are extremely kind people who run a soothing and beautiful shop. I felt calm and at peace within seconds of stepping in. I loved all the items they carried. I'm glad that I stopped by this establishment yesterday. The clerk, Rassy (I hope I spelled it right) was amazing. I was looking for incense, gemstones, etc. I read the yelp reviews in advance and decided to give the shop a try today on my lunch break. The store is a very cute shop with a lot of different areas to explore. Tom (Lynn's husband) greeted us and was very welcoming. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about everything in the store. Tom even provided a small educational (and fun) session about spirit readings and similar areas. He made us feel very comfortable and was not pushy at all. I can't wait to meet Lynn and schedule a session with her soon. I will definitely recommend my friends to visit the store. UPDATE-06/14/17: I had a reading with Lynn today and it was nothing less of amazing. I did not know what to expect from the reading as this was my first one. Lynn was very friendly and funny. She spoke on things that I had no idea she'd know. She described some of the most intimate details. I would highly recommend Lynn to anyone that wants guidance and is considering a reading. UPDATE- 12/05/17: Disclaimer: This review is super duper long, but I feel like there was so much to cover. Several visits and readings later- I love EVERYTHING about MagikCraft. I stumbled upon the store back in May on a quest to find incense. I am forever grateful that the universe led me to MagikCraft. Where do I begin? Lol. The store- MC has a wide array of metaphysical products. If you can think of it- just know that they have it. The products range from crystals, books, journals, candles, jewelry, soaps, tarot and oracle cards, incense, and so much more. The great thing about MC is the majority (if not all) of their products are locally made. Therefore, your purchase is helping the community. As soon as you enter the store- you are greeted by all of the staff. Their welcomes are always warm and friendly. The vibe in the store is very positive and family-like. This is very important to me because I am potentially spending my hard earned money. I've been to several metaphysical stores and immediately felt a negative vibe. Sometimes- they don't even acknowledge or speak to you. I hate those type of experiences. Especially if I ask a question and they act as if I am interrupting them from doing something more that helping their customer. This is NEVER the case at MC. Everyone in the store is very knowledgeable of the products they carry and more. If they don't know- they will simply tell you and find the answers from the owners (Lynn and Tom). This type of customer experience is priceless to me. Now, I will briefly go into my experience with a reading with Lynn. This lady knows me better than I know myself. Lol. It's weird, but so so awesome! Her readings are ridiculously accurate- it's a bit scary how "on point" they are. Brace yourself to hear and experience the good, bad, ugly, worst, and best- sometimes all in the same session. The thing that I can appreciate the most about Lynn's reading are her recommendations to implement positive change. She gives you advice, tools, and resources to make a difference in your own life. It's up to you to take action. I can honestly say that I have grown and matured so much since first visiting MC. Lastly, I love the extracurricular activities that MC offers. Specifically, their monthly full moon gatherings. These sessions are conducted in such a nurturing and non-judgmental environment. The sessions give you an opportunity to meet like minded people and network with others. I will definitely attend future gatherings and am looking forward to the next one. If you've read this super long review () just do yourself a favor and stop by the shop. Tell Lynn & Tom Tia said hello . read more

I am extremely grateful that you exist. I Love spending money in here. It is energetically and vibrationally all that I could hope for as a new-ish resident to Bull City from Cali. I'm hella grateful for Yelp, as well because that's how I attracted this magickal gem of a shop. They have All the crystals! and this monster beautiful Amethyst! Incense, sage, dragons blood, Palo Santo, the candles of your dreams. Including High John the Conqueror Listen, if it sounds like I'm totally in love with this space and their offerings (They have Full Moon meetups too) and all that it has to offer. ..its because I am! My first visit i was warmly greeted by a very kind being who took the time to explain to me the background of the shop and its owners (lots of magic!) And I honestly can say that since I've moved here, hands down the experience has been incomparable to any other business I've been in here. I felt welcomed. I felt at home. And sometimes, in the South (or anywhere ) when one has such a delectable amount of chocolate in their skin...sometimes, the reception ain't so warm. So. To feel so comfortable and as equally human as any other being that walked in, for me, makes a huge difference. Because it was genuine and authentic, good ass energy in there. As long as I'm in Bull City, they will always have my money! I get all my Brujx things! Thanks! Peace. read more

Lynn and Tom are both wonderful. I was greeted with a warm welcome. Lynn is truly gifted. Such an amazing experience.

For years I've been looking for a good witchcraft supply shop in the Triangle, and preferably in Chapel Hill or Durham. It's safe to say that A Unique Shoppe meets that need. Energy seeps from the very walls, magnified by the crystals and stones, while countless other supplies ornament the walls and shelves of this magical place. It's somewhat hidden, and that kind of adds to the allure for me, almost as if you've stumbled upon a cottage in the woods, with the busy 9th Street location as a substitute. Tom is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and Lynn didn't skip a beat in offering a small sample of the extent of her magickal knowledge. They even answered some questions for me about another inquiry I had, providing me options to solve my dilemma. Free workshops are offered on Full Moon nights, something I'm eager to experience ASAP. read more
