Hanna always gives me a great cut and color and is reasonably priced! I have come to her salon for almost 3 years now

Went in to get my hair curled for homecoming, curls fell out in less than an hour. She mad snarky comments on the length of my hair throughout the appointment. Would not recommend read more

I loved how they gave me advice on how to do my hair and how to take care of it. The two times I went, I liked how they cut my hair. I recommend it. read more

Tom is a perfectionist, a master at color and knows the latest hair trends. He has been cutting and styling my curly (2c/3a) hair for over 20 years. I've been faithful to him longer than I've been married. Ha! Whether it's slick and shiny straight or fresh low lights (low maintenance), I love how my hair looks and feels every time I leave the salon. I drive almost 2 hours to see him but it's well worth it! read more

I have known the owner of Magicomb for more than 20 years. I have followed her wherever she has moved over the years because I trust how she cuts my hair. I'm so happy she has her own business and she has my loyalty. read more

Tom is the BEST! He has been cutting my hair for many years and I cannot imagine going to anyone else.

Tom at Magicomb said I would leave with shiny, beautiful hair. I did. Best part even after washing at home, it still looks beautiful a month later. Tom also used a hair dye without ammonia. This is healthier to use and the color is still holding. Tom gave me a very flattering cut. I highly recommend Tom to make you look fabulous! read more

Mrs Lee is outstanding . Our family has been coming here for many years. My children CANNOT & Will not get a hair cut from anyone else. We love you Mrs. Lee. read more

Tom is amazing! Have been going to him for many years and always LOVE the end result. He is fantastic at both color and cut.

I drove by here on a whim, during a hair crisis. I walked in without an appointment and didn't have to wait to get a haircut. The salon is small. The store is blandly decorated but the stylists are nice. I would visit again. read more

I have been getting my haircut at this place for the past 2 years. The service is consistently good and friendly. I don't see myself switching anytime soon. This place doesn't look all that special from the outside, but give definitely it a try. read more

I have passed by this place many times. I had given up on many hair salons in the area who could not work with me in getting the right hairstyle. One day I decided to go in. I was greeted by friendly staff and had a short wait. The person who did my hair listened, shared her ideas and I was very happy with the style. I went again soon after for color. I have never had color that lasts that long. Prices are reasonable. Ms. Lee and staff are very friendly, experienced and accommodating. I have found my hairdresser! read more

Le is one of the best and most agreeable hairstylists I have encountered in the Silver Spring area. I am into retroyles, especially updos. Really appreciate the fact that I can arrive with a rough concept--maybe a picture, or just an idea--show it to her or describe it, and then trust her to come up with something even better than the original. Barrel curls, French twists, braids, whatever, she can do it all. Very quick as well. Highly recommended to women of all ages who revere the past, like to experiment, just enjoy the fantasy, or really need something special for a prom, party or wedding. Le will never disappoint! read more

Magicomb is a slowly deteriorating salon. The ONLY stylist takes personal and business calls while shampooing, trimming, and blow drying your hair. While this location offers typical salon extras like manicures, pedicures, and massages they are hardly enticing. The nail polish selection is covered with dust. The massage chairs for pedicures have used sofa cushions sitting on them. If you're low on cash and need a trim Magicomb's crumbling services would compell anyone to risk trimming their own hair at home. Don't bother. read more

I have been cutting my hair with Calvin for 17 years and I refuse to change barbers! Calvin memorizes every customers haircut, so they dont have to repeat it everytime they come in. In addition, when you ask Cal for a recommendation, he doesn't just suggest a style that is trend but a haircut that maximizes facial appearance per individual. He not only cuts my hair but my 2 brothers, 6 nephews and a bunch of friends. If you are looking for a barber, Cal is the way to go for sure!!!! read more

I had an amazing experience here. I was greeted at the door as soon as I came in and the wait wasn't long. I made an appointment with Calvin, and I highly recommend him. He took his time making sure my haircut/beard was lined up correctly and didn't rush through it. If you're looking for a barber who appreciates your hair definitely hit up Calvin. read more

Ms. Lee is the BEST! She has magic hands, she feels her hair like no other. I was looking for hair styling for years - she is the One! She knows how to find that unique style for everyone, quickly, always benevolent, always with a smile. Very busy, but will find time for you if you need it urgently. I'm afraid of losing her! read more

This is a basic place for an excellent haircut!. There are typically two stylists on duty at any given time, and three on Fridays and Saturdays. Does the salon look dated...sure...small businesses are struggling these days with the weight of regulation, tax, and overhead. Is there anything unsafe or unsanitary about this salon...absoultely not. The stylists do an outstanding job and really aim to please. I have been a client for many years, and have recommended this salon to many friends, whom have all been pleased with the service. read more

great hairstylist- got the haircut and highlights as I asked for and very efficient.

I have been going here since I was a freshman in high school and they do everything great from coloring, cut and style, relaxing and natural hair treatment hot oil treatments as well as hairstyles for prom and more. I've gone there for everything. Great waxing services as well! I live out of the area now but wait to travel home for this salon to do my hair! read more

The earlier negative review of Magicomb really bothers me since it misses what is so great about this place. Everyone who works here, especially the owner Lee, is kind to everyone who comes in. It has been refurbished with all new furniture, floors etc. since 2012, but it's still nothing fancy, but the stylists are good and the prices are great, which is a lot more important to me than the decoration. read more
