Well, well, well! Let's just say my journey with Magic Smile Dental started in September of 2014. I was 9 months pregnant and found myself in terrifying pain, dental pain that was! I received medical clearance from my OB-GYN and rushed myself into Magic Smile Dental. I was able to get an appointment the same day I received medical clearance. The staff was very attentive and nice. Doctor B was very alert and aware of my condition and was able to intervene and take me out of my misery. He used an anesthetic that would not harm my unborn, but would help me through the procedure. He did an pulpectomy(removal of the nerve) in a tooth that was infected. Wow! All the pain was gone! Eventually I gave birth and returned to finish up the root canal on that tooth. I loved their service and attentiveness that I even went on to do an implant that was needed from an extraction that was done 3 years prior to being a patient at Magic Smile Dental! Let's just say I am beyond pleased with the results of my dental implant that I have showed off my entire progress to all my family, friends, and coworkers! Approx 6 months for the entire completion of the implant(of course everyone is different) from bone grafting, post, abutment, impressions to actual placement. I have enjoyed every step of the way! Thank you Dr. B for the pulpectomy and implant. Also to Dr. Silva who completed my root canal. And of course to Justina the hygienist who is very persistent on educating me on primary prevention measures. And to all the dental assistants who put my comfort and needs above all expectations!!! I visited this dental office about two weeks ago, and unfortunately, the experience left me extremely uncomfortable. I provided both of my dental insurance plans when I scheduled the appointment, and the office had both on file. The hygienist took my X-rays and examined me first. She told me she did not believe I needed a deep cleaning. However, when the dentist came in, she recommended a deep cleaning, crowns, fillings, and other dental work. Her approach felt extremely sales-driven and, honestly, predatory rather than focused on my actual dental needs. Afterward, I met with someone to discuss the cost. I quickly realized they had not factored in my husband's insurance. After going back and forth, I was eventually told, "We don't really accept or bill that insurance." This was incredibly frustrating because I had provided that insurance information before my appointment. Why wasn't I told this before I came in? I left feeling very uneasy about the entire experience and asked for copies of my X-rays. I then went to my husband's dentist in Linden and explained that I was considering a deep cleaning. Without knowing what Magic Smile had recommended, he reviewed my X-rays and said it did not appear that I needed one. His hygienist then examined and measured my gums and reached the same conclusion. Instead of trying to sell me unnecessary procedures, they gave me a thorough cleaning and explained that I simply needed to stay consistent with brushing, flossing, and routine care. My biggest takeaway: get a second opinion before agreeing to expensive dental work. In my case, two dental professionals independently agreed that I did not need the deep cleaning I was being encouraged to consider. That second opinion saved me from potentially paying for treatment I may not have needed. read more

Very aggressive trying to upsell. Website said general dentistry but practice name should have warned me. My polite "no thank you or I'll consider it" fell on deaf ears. Didn't even start my cleaning so I had to endure a half hour pitch for implants. Then when I was done, sales lady tried to sell me some new $6000 laser periodontal cleaning procedure. They had me there for a few hours, in addition to the cleaning time, which was subpar. read more

Update: I am happy to be able to provide a positive udpate on my situation, Magic Smile was able to accommodate me later in the day on Monday to start my root canal and finish the process early Tuesday. I am extremely happy with the professionalism and support of the staff at this practice. There was a misunderstanding with the front desk and all issues have been resolved. I have been a patient of Magic Smile for 3 years, after my last round of work is completed, I will be shopping for a new dentist. I called today due to extreme throbbing on two molars from work done earlier in the week (I have temp caps). I specifically asked the receptionist if the dentist will have time to do a root canal today and was told yes, appointment was made for 12. Upon arrival the dentist checked the area and told me I needed a root canal (which I already knew from experience), but it couldn't be scheduled today due to availability. Now I am upset, because I have been in pain for days and they are not open on weekends. I felt like my emergency was not taken as an emergency. In addition, while in the waiting room, the staff inadvertently took another patient before the one scheduled and this guy was waiting for an hour. Staff also stated this happened more than once. read more

management is really horrible here. unfortunately the front desk represents the doctors which makes you want to stay away. no compassio to keep a pt from leaving. they rather lose a pt than accommodate. again management is bad and makes the office look bad. stay away they lost my kids that have been pts here over someone rude and no character. they will not accommodate and no compassion. I miss Dr. Kim he was so sweet and the best now he was a dentist and met you at your level. It's best he left someone as sweet as he was did not belong there. read more

Great Doctor just a staff member named Evelyn seem not to understand if a patient has a bad cold and has serious symptoms there no way of predicting and able to cancel within 48 hours. Will not be going back. Really unpleasant experience. I was in the middle of 4 fillings when the front deskperson walks in room and announces she leaving so I have to pay now. The dr had to stop drilling and I had to get up to get my card out of my purse to pay. Couldn't even ask why my bill was so much because I couldn't speak. This was last September, they call non stop to book your next appt and text constantly, Since its around the corner from my home my husband decided to call to schedule, against my advise and was booked for April 30 2021 and the person on the phone told him the new policy is to pay any copay or coinsurance before the appt , could he pay on the phone. What a great place! Was visiting my relatives and of course this is when my tooth started to act up. The office staff was amazing, got me in and were super friendly and patient with my issues. This place took 2 hours to pull my wisdom tooth. In the process they did not warn me that it would take longer than usua. The female dentist could not remove it so she brought in a male dentist, who wasn't an oral surgeon anyway. He took 45 mins to pull it out. And in the process he kept sighing, making me even more nervous in the process. He was not comforting at all!! I had the utensil on the side of my mouth to keep it opened that I ended up with sores. I had about 6 sores when I was finished. My mouth was in pain for 2 weeks! I thought that they would at least give me the m ok money back for such a horrible experience, but they didn't. I went to an oral surgeon 2 months later and he pulled my other wisdom tooth put in 15mins!!!!! Please be careful with this place if you're looking to have an extraction. Zero stars read more

The worst place to ever go if you're trying to keep your teeth. They will always convince you need a root canal (even when not necessary) The main dentist comes off as a nice guy but he only wants to sell you a crown. I also had money left over from my last visit which they applied to a "credit" towards my next visit. I went overseas for a year and asked for it back, now there's no record of it happening, nor was offered my money back. Had a wisdom tooth pulled and some fillings. Never really needed dental work done before, so I was terrified before coming in. The whole experience was taken care of in a timely and professional manner, and the staff was friendly. Something is truly off here. The hygienist was great but the front desk staff were off. The had me pay in advance 50% for procedures, excoriate me for getting stuck in traffic making me 15 minutes late when the office was empty. The worst is after the ten minute procedure was complete and I was told I was done I got a call on the road again chastising me like a child. I told her she had my permission to put the charge through. She said she needed me to pull over on the highway to give her the number that the payment could not wait until the morning. I went about my business knowing that claims are paid and billings done within 30 days of service. Here I had paid over 60% on first visit. I then was pestered with a text and another call. I had another appointment scheduled but it is likely I will cancel. read more

I visited Dr. Bensianoff's office for the first time today and it was a very nice experience. Dr. Bensianoff was very engaging and informative, and dental hygienist Justina had a very nice personality and a soft touch to match when removing plaque and polishing my teeth. Margaret, Tatiana and Melissa were also very pleasant. The office is very clean and there was an LCD tv in the room for the patients. I have never seen that before. read more

I come get cleanings regularly and every time my teeth look white and polished. I have also gotten fillings done and have gotten a crown.
