Today was my first time at this dentist. The front desk staff members were friendly. The hygienist mentioned that she has clients from different states who come to get their teeth cleaned and that she has been doing this for 30 years. So I was extremely excited. However, the hygienist didn't clean the plaque off my teeth. She didn't even use a sickle scaler at all. She finished my cleaning in about 3 minutes while was the shorter cleaning I've ever received. I didn't take a look at my teeth until I got to my car. I then called their office and told them that I was unsatisfied because of the plaque. The person said, "We will not bill your insurance." I asked " Can I just have it cleaned properly since I literally just walked out. I walked back to the office to show the hygienist my teeth and the other staff members and ask if there's a way to just have it cleaned properly today. The hygienist literally said, "Go somewhere that makes you satisfied, we don't clean off plaque. You need to find place that specializes in deep cleaning. Super dismissive, unprofessional, and unapologetic. Every dental office I've ever been to had cleaned the plaque between the same two teeth. It would have taken less than 3 minutes to clean. Why not just clean it and still get paid by my insurance? Or even say "Due to it being a Saturday, we can't assist you since we close early." Say something professional. Guess they're rather a bad review and to lose a client. I higher do not recommend this place. read more

Improve everything! Your EXTREMLY outdated office and waiting area! A Dr. And a desk worker,who basically insults patients! The Dentist literally told me I don't want to give you antibiotics,you'll risk a yeast infection ..I'm 53 years old and with or w/out antibiotics I have almost,never gotten yeast infections,then she asked me why the last dentist did a procedure a certain way..ASK THE DR.!not me! I've never in my life have been more upset leaving an office. I'm stupid for even waiting 2 hours to be seen, yes 2 hours. Not to mention that 3 other people were seen before me. I was not expecting the dentist to do a routine cleaning, but if her cleaning is any representation of dental work, I would run. The water pick sprayed in my face more that in my mouth. The direction of cleaning was so random, not done tooth my tooth or atleast section by section of the mouth. It felt rushed and unprofessional. Also, who doesn't also use tools to scrap the teeth? I've never had a cavity or any other dental work other than braces, so it is easy to say that I should be the simplest of patients. But why not use the correct tools to give a proper cleaning? How and why was I not even asked if I floss? Perhaps because she didn't even have the decency to floss my teeth, as every other hygienist and dentist I've been to in 30+ years have done. The cleaning agent to polish my teeth was just as sporadically as my water pick cleaning, spent more time on my gums than my teeth. Then the audacity to say she normally charges $50 to apply floruide to the teeth but it is complimentary as I'm a first time visitor. I never asked for it nor consented to it, she just shoved her finger into my mouth and started rubbing it everywhere. Also why the hell are there cameras in the room? Shady, shady, shady. I guess this is the punishment for having state health insurance - can't wait for my benefits at work to kick in so I never have to have such a negligent experience again. I rather pay out of pocket at my trusted dentist than use the useless insurance for a very unprofessional experience. read more

Most horrible experience I was there for 40 minutes waiting for them to call me in. When they sat me down they did not change any barriers they were filled with dust everything was filled with dust ... when it came to the x-rays I couldn't help but notice that they did not change the plastic barrier either ... I asked whether they sterilized or used an autoclave they did not give me an exact answer. Didn't even want to expose myself to other people's saliva.... do they not realize the COVID is present and obviously don't care. And I wished I could take pictures but they did not allow phones to be out, I was confused,disgusted and definitely horrified. Why be a dentist if you truly don't care about other people health .. it's crazy to know that this place is still opened. If you care about your health and covid don't waste your time here please. read more

I've been seeing Ghaffari for a very long time and I must say she is great, it took me a very long time to find a dentist that actually cared about my dental issues and I must say she has since day 1. I never wait in the waiting room for long periods of time and the ladies that help her in the room have all been nice and helpful with me. I get it when people get upset over different situations but I am thankful that I haven't encountered any issues with the Linden office. read more

I have gone to a few other dentists and can provide some pretty bad horror stories involving my kids and self. I can understand if someone had a bad day or the lab screwed up in other dentist offices once or twice and I have never been a complainer not by far. But this Dentist from Unique Dentistry on South Wood Ave is one of Linden's Hidden Little Gems I never once had a problem or was more than 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. THEY GOT IT RIGHT NOW WITH THE RELATIVELY NEW OFFICE STAFF AND OF COURSE MY LONG TIME FAVORITE DENTIST WHO KNOW HAS THE RIGHT SUPPORT NEEDED. I LOVE THIS COMBINATION OF EMPLOYEES IN THE OFFICE, EACH ARE SO FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. Regardless on any obstacle I HAVE COME UP WITH will make sure you are taken care of, and as pain free as permitted and limited to the insrance companies. This is realy a sort of hometown barbershop where the familiar faces are always inviting and friendly. When it comes to your appointment the availability between the two offices is always accommodating. I dont ever think I watched a quarter hour of TV before I was call to get in the chair. I kid you not, there are times when my dentist went in my mouth and before finish trying a question she was done, also me I had and concerta, and I really felt like I was well take by one of my aunts from childhood who new how to make all the worries go away. read more

I reported them to the NJ Board of Dentistry. Most despicable conditions I've ever seen at any healthcare facility. I'm not sure how legit this place really is. They began cleaning my teeth with an old/already used jar of fluoride (broken lid and expired *see photos*). The "dentist" repeatedly dipped the toothbrush in my mouth and back straight into the jar. After realizing what she was doing, I asked her if that's was new jar. She stood in front of it to cover my view. I jumped out of the chair and picked the jar up. It was about a quarter of the way until empty. She was speechless when I asked her how many people she used this jar on? How many people's toothbrushes have you dipped in here before me?! How many bleeding gums came into contact with the jar already? Proper protocol would have been using a small disposable cup of fluoride for each patient. I was totally mortified. My case is currently pending with the board. I will post pictures of the jar. I brought it home with me as evidence. read more

If I could, I would absolutely give this place a negative 5 stars. I had an unfortunate accident on my commute to work that required extensive work at the end of August. Aesthetic along with root canals for my 2 front center teeth. I chose this place due to the very experienced dentist that I used to go to when she had her own practice. Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of her control, she closed her office. She started working here. She has even received awards for her techniques along with quality quality service and work in general. The horrible review is left for the management. I was forced to wait for over a month for an appointment, damn well knowing that an infection was brewing. When it came time to my appointment, it was postponed. The receptionist could care less about any of the patients along with doing her due diligence to call the insurance when necessary to help my case along. My insurance has a very high yearly limit as well as paying always on time without denying any sort of service. Unfortunately, I could not wait any more, and chose a different dentist, much closer to home. Unique dental refused to release my records via e-mail or fax. Despite signing a HIPAA form, I would need to write a letter requesting my records (xrays taken upon my initial visit in order to bill the insurance, which my insurance allows only once a year), and then I would have to pick up printed copies in person. After becoming aggravated on their "office policies", which were clearly bs I told her about the HIPAA form as well as the fact that I paid for them. Her response was that actually I didn't pay for them, but the insurance did. Garbage Garbage Garbage service. During my first visit, a customer waited over an hour to be seen by the dentist for an appoint that she arrived 30 minutes prior. Dr. Ewa Marcinkiewicz (which is as professional as professional comes, insanely knowledgeable and experienced like no other) has to resort to using her own tools and she supplies she has obtained over the course of her many years of work and continues to purchase because this dentist office runs a sham of a business. In fairness, I never got the opportunity to see the dentist. I was prevented from seeing the dentist because I refused to provide my SSN. I called my insurance company while at the dental office to see if it was common practice to require an SSN in order to provide a patient with a dental cleaning. I was instructed that the Insurance member number should have been sufficient, however the lady at the front desk did not agree. I told her I didn't feel comfortable providing my SSN. She pulled out a form and instructed me that I should not have any worries, but I doubt the dental office had higher privacy security features then all the companies that have been recently breached. She told me she needed my SSN in case they need to send me to collections for any unpaid balances. I offered to pay for the services up front or allow them to place a hold on my credit card; knowing my insurance covered 100% of the cleaning. I was then told that something like that would require to much work on their part and there was no way I was going to be able to see the dentist without providing my SSN. I highly value my time and privacy and would discourage anyone of a similar mindset from visiting this dental office. read more

After taking time off work and arriving at my appointment time then waiting awhile I was told that something didn't come from the lab that should have arrived about 6 hours earlier, but didn't have the courtesy to call me !!! read more
