Two weeks ago I discovered that I have officially inherited my dad's back problems. Yayyyy... Three years ago they bought the Magic Sleeper mattress from here and it's been great! They had a fantastic experience and my dad's back is much better! So, my boyfriend and I went up to give them a try (2 hour drive, but worth it!). The day before I talked with Mark, and when we got there we worked with Brice -- both were impressively knowledgeable and made me feel so much more comfortable about the entire process. Once Brice heard our situation, he established what comfort level we needed and then showed us the mattresses that fit all our criteria. While we were figuring out our needs, he was good to show us a mattress, and then give us some space while we tested it. Once we narrowed down our choices, he completely left us alone to test them again and again. I really appreciated the balance of helping and giving space to test things out. We were there for around 2 hours because I had read everywhere online that you should lay on the mattress at least 15 minutes, but no one said anything to rush us. Once we had the mattress picked out, we were able to get delivery (*very* reasonably priced for being so far away), and each bought a pillow to help our individual needs -- my boyfriend LOVES his side sleeper pillow. Jury is still out if the down pillow will help my back and jaw :). Our mattress has a 25 year warranty, but we will be heading right back when it's due to be replaced!! read more

Magic Sleeper is great. The world is a very strange place right now. Objective reality is being replaced by propaganda and disinformation and nowhere is this more apparent than the world of mattresses. Some 30 years ago the push to outsource manufacturing to China and save money resulted in the elimination of the traditional mattress Box Spring with a "Foundation". This decision has cost 100s of millions of people around the world a good night's sleep. A true Box spring is necessary to allow the mattress to move as a whole with the body. A "foundation" limits mattress movement and causes discomfort. Magic Sleeper still produces traditional box springs. For educated sleepers - this is the Holy Grail. Mattresses didn't need a pillow top until they were placed on foundations because the coil springs would move freely producing *total* body freedom to roll or turnaround in bed without meeting a wall of resistance. While the corporate world will sell you cheap garbage and call it "better" - Magic Sleeper is producing top notch Box Springs that reproduce the quality of products made half a century ago - quite a feat indeed! I've purchased two of them so far one for my main mattress and one for the guest bedroom. They are superb and the materials and support are just as they should be! Sadly, many people in their 20s have *never* experienced a real mattress/box spring set up and have no idea what comfort they are missing out on and the deep sleep that this combination produces. Only a literal handful of companies in the US are producing *real* box springs and Magic Sleeper is *by far* the most reasonable priced and customer service oriented of them all. I can't recommend this company enough. If you want a good nights sleep in the 21st century - let Magic Sleeper set you up with a true box spring/mattress combo and learn why "sleeping problems" and lower back pain were so much rarer before the 1990's and the selling out of the mattress buyer with the introduction of rock hard "foundations". Really appreciated the relaxed sales person who helped us, and the reasonable prices with no haggling or complicated sales or discounts. The showroom could use some updates, it's pretty dark and uninviting, but I think everything else more than makes up for it. Glad we went here rather than rolling the dice on a mattress in a box online or the sleazeballs at Mattress Firm. They have less known brands that seem to be of perfectly good quality, some of them manufactured locally, with none of the "science" gimmicks or crazy pricing you get from the big guys. read more

Some of the furniture is not in the store, but listed only on line. The staff will help you out and getting it order and ship to them or delivered to your house. They offer Financing for high price items, and they do match prices. They offer everything from Kids Beds, Bunk Beds, and RV mattress, Semi-Truck Mattress, Chess/Dresser and Recliners. They can make a custom mattress to fix your needs. WE got a custom mattress to fit an old wooded waterbed frame. We supply them with the measurements and they made it to fit, with no problems. I cannot encourage you more to buy a mattress from this place. My husband and I always do endless research when we buy something, and our research led us to Magic Sleeper. They are one of the few places where the people running it not only know everything there is to making a mattress, but they are unbelievably kind and understanding. This is a family run business that has been around for decades, but there is not a modern big box store who can beat them on quality, price, and experience. They have a wide range of mattresses from classic double sided up to the foam style popular on the Internet right now, and everything in between. My husband and I were both left alone to *fall asleep* on the mattress. When is the last time a mattress person even left you alone with the mattress, let alone let you truly sleep on it?? I feel like they would do anything to have happy customers (and we are not easy to deal with, trust me). If you are still thinking about it--their products are all made in the USA. Shopping for a mattress these days is about as fun as going to the dentist but these folks took the BS out of the experience. I looked at all the local department stores and mattress specialty stores (good luck on comparisons since mattress companies don't want you to be able to). Their low key, informative sales person just gave honest answers and a good price. The mattresses are made right in their factory (good support for local business) and their on-time delivery was courteous. I have a German bed which needed a new mattress and this company will make custom made mattresses. I gave them my measurements and paid my $ 897.00 12/17/2017. The first mattress delivered was too small, almost square and I called the company and they said they will make a new one with the right measurements. Since shipping is expensive, they told me to either give it to a church or some needy cause. It finally came, but the mattress the truck carried was to go to California. But the same day my item came. That was in 2018. Then I noticed the material making fuzz balls which you could feel even through the sheets. I wrote to Magic Sleeper, but got no response. Then I called and the rep. told me to send it back, but I have to pay for the expensive shipping. My other option was, as per the rep. buy a cover. Not being happy with those answers I complained to the BBB. The company did not respond to them either. Today I made another attempt and wrote to them again. If there is no reply I can only report them to the Consumer Protection Division Attorney generals Office of my State. I will not recommend this company to anyone the way they treat their customers and the cheap materials they use on their expensive mattresses. read more

The people are really nice, the selection is good and the prices reasonable. So why only 2 stars? The one thing that really matters when buying a mattress is the return policy and the don't let you return or exchange. We learned our lesson the hard way. Fell in love with a gel mattress on the floor. When it was delivered, everything looked the same but we could tell immediately that it was much firmer. Didn't even take an uncomfortable night's sleep to know we wouldn't have bought the mattress if this was how it felt in the store. The catch? No returns or exchanges. They did give us a softer foam topper. However it's been 2 years of uncomfortable sleep and we're going to buy a new bed. Doesn't matter how nice the people are or how pleasant the experience if you're stuck with a bum mattress. read more

If I could give it 10 stars I would!!! I purchased my mattress here a couple years ago and it is still good as new! They have a limited selection of HIGH QUALITY mattress styles which are double sided so you can flip them! In case you haven't noticed, they don't make them like this any more!!! There are no smoke and mirror sales tactics, just a good quality locally made product! The mattresses are made with at the location and you can even go and watch them make your mattress on site!!! Magic sleeper will also add custom features which are not available elsewhere. For example, our stair case would not accommodate a queen box spring, so they put hinges in the frame so we could squeeze it up the steps. They also make custom cushions for RVS, boats or other furniture! read more

Four years ago I found Magic Sleeper and went shopping for a mattress there because it was made locally and no hi-jinks sales pitch. It happened I was talking to one of the family and he patiently and fully addressed my questions. I asked if he had any mattresses that were supplied to major hotels and was shown two supplied to the local Hilton. I tried one with a foam pad on both sides that just felt right. I ordered it then and there. The fellow offered what he said was his best box spring to go with it. It was a queen size Foreverplush mattress, their best I was told. After almost 3-1/2 years, early June, I started to get feel my lower back lock up, a sign the mattress wasn't supporting me during sleep. I know this from past experience as to when a mattress has run it's useful life for me. I tried flipping the mattress more frequently than before but it didn't take long before I was in discomfort. I called Magic Sleeper last September to see what course to take because the Foreverplush has a lifetime warranty. It took several tries to get to the right person, who happened to be the family member that helped out during the sale. I was told about the sag and how to check it. The sag however doesn't take into account the foam breaking down. He came to my home with his brother so they could see it and measure. The box spring support, which is more than adequate, was examined. They put a straight edge across box spring which showed a visible dip in the middle but was dismissed by the one brother as no consequence. They did admit that the foam used on the top was breaking down and not giving the support as when new. Then I was offered new foam padding for both sides that is better able to stand up. This at a cost of nearly $400 to me. I declined at that time as I weighed that cost vs. a new mattress taking into consideration how long this one lasted. A few weeks later, having unfit sleep for several days even after flipping the mattress I took a blanket and put the mattress on top of it on the floor. I spent the next few nights sleeping restfully. Having found this I called and asked about the box spring, bringing up how they had checked it and saw the sag. I told them how I put the mattress on the floor and the firm support enabled a good nights sleep. It seemed begrudging however I was offered a new box spring if I covered delivery and tax. It was sent out a few days later. That ended up being a temporary fix as in the last month I have flipped the mattress three times to alleviate my hip/lower back spasm. One side seems to hold up better than the other and I'll move around to find a place that will give me a settled sleep. It's failing. According to them there is no defect until the mattress show a pretty measurable depression across it, which I do not have. However you can see the foam has lost it's form and feel it is less firm across the middle than the edges. To be fair I have not contacted Magic Sleeper again after the box spring because I feel the resistance I got before was not in keeping with customer satisfaction. I'll look elsewhere soon for a new mattress. My regret is I have recommended them to at least two others who ended up buying from them, I hope they fare better. read more

I went here based on a recommendation from someone that had gotten beds from there previously. We searched the showroom, testing basically every bed. The beds are not shown with their box springs in the store so you base your decision on the mattress itself that is on a platform. We chose a decent mattress, not the most expensive but definitely not the least either. The ordering and delivery processes went very well. We really liked the bed at first but as the first year went by we started getting a rubbing noise every time we moved, even the slightest movement would wake you up completely by the second year. It became so annoying we started to realize we could not live with the noise any longer. We searched for the cause. Here the mattress was was made with a layer of cardboard just under the material cover and apparently that was breaking down. We got so frustrated with the noise from any small movement one night we ripped the material and yanked out the cardboard and stapled the box spring together to get some sleep finally. I will not go back to this place for a bed if that's how they construct their bedding. It's not worth it because I spent a decent amount of money to not even get two years with it. Now that the so-called support is gone the mattress cannot do its job properly either. Really annoyed and frustrated and extremely disappointed since this place was highly recommended. read more

We ordered online from them not knowing much about the company. The prices were great compared to those of the big mattress dealers (due to the fact that they both manufacture and sell) and we liked the idea of supporting a small business, but we were worried about going with a company we didn't know much about. Turns out we had absolutely nothing to be concerned about--the boxspring is extremely well crafted and much nicer looking than anything you get from a major company. Their sales person was extremely friendly and they worked with our delivery schedule. Between that and the terrific prices, Magic Sleeper can't be beat. read more

I recently purchased a new mattress here the way I see many other mattresses are sold. I found the company and website through careful searching and really did not have the time or energy to go check out mattresses ine more time. I find it's impossible to know anything about a mattress after laying down on it for ten minutes in a busy store. If I go into the store without any information about mattresses available, I'll be buying a mattress based solely on the advice of the mattress salesman. And that advice comes to me while I am flat on my back. Not a good feeling either when it's happened in the past or the thought of doing it again. I looked online and there is a very large and helpful website dedicated to buying a matress. However, even this site had more details than I cared to get into. Then I saw a number of mattresses are being sold by the millions online only. It seemed if I used a little judgment and a little research, this might not be too bad. This is the company that had for sale the exact type of mattress I wanted. For the past ten years I've been told at other mattress stores that their mattresses are not able to be flipped because the mattresses are only finished on one side. I was literally forced to accept the nonsense at the big mattress company I went to last time. They said one side was better than two and just wouldn't show me anything else. It turned out that very expensive well regarded brand had been bought and mattresses were made by one of the average mattress companies. Telling me one side was better than two was not true in my experience. It stands to reason when the sides and corners you can turn the mattress to use are slashed in half, so is the wearability of that mattress. Along with quickly wearing out that mattress became uncomfortable much sooner than any mattress I've ever owned. Cutting corners did not make a better bed. So, when I saw the mattress here with handles to flip it to either side, I was happily surprised. The best mattress I've ever felt was this mattress. It's obviously made very well and is sturdy as can be. It's comfortable and a relief to know I won't be putting out money for a new mattress any time soon. As I expected, buying a mattress this way was much better than going and "testing" a variety of mattresses. I learned about the mattress I was interested in, callled to ask a couple questions and made the purchase easily with the woman on the phone and the mattress sitting on my computer screen. Rule #1 with mattress buying - stay away from big box and department stores. Rule #2 - Stay away from the "S" brands. I found Magic Sleeper through a reputable mattress buying forum. The warehouse is no frills, but that's about as low as the experience gets. John Santos greeted us and guided us through the sales process, educating us along the way. He even appreciated my well educated-ness and answered ALL of my questions, some of them two and three times. We spend about 90 minutes in the showroom, going through not only the mattresses, but the sofas as well. We went with the Amish-made Forever Firm, which we felt offered the best value and durability amongst mattresses at different price points from different vendors. We also liked the fact that Magic Sleeper offers not only a lifetime warranty on the mattress (using industry standard guidelines), but also offered the option to make comfort adjustments in case we wanted it softer or (even) firmer.
